TSUSMC9
Recently I came across my old PS2 and it's games, which included Neopet's: The Darkest Faerie. It got me to thinking of what, if they were to ever consider, a game on newer consoles would be like. The Darkest Faerie is one of my favorite games, and something that I have played through several times. A game of similarity to it instead of a puzzle is something that I've hoped to see in the future. I've had a few ideas for a future game, being that a new Neopets console game were to be made. Some of my ideas for the game would be continuation of where the last game left off. The Faerie's Ruins Plot Epilogue is partially what gave me this idea. I know that the many years since it came out would be an issue but then again the first game could be included with the new (I've seen few game have inclusions as such). I'd like to see Roberta and Tormund team up again, maybe if things were to go as I stated above, but I'd be fine with seeing new characters. I really liked how the characters were introduced as well as how they could be switched throughout the remainder of the game after. Another thing worth mention that I'd like to see come back would be the neopoints, treasures, and shops. It added a little bit of the Neopets website customization to the game, which I found really neat and fun to play with. The only difference on that I'd like would be the ability to see previously bought apparel that could be switced through. In all reality I'd just be happy with a new action adventure game from Neopets on new consoles. Anyways, I'm curious as to what some of your opinions are on a new game and what you'd like the game to be about or include if you're for the idea? Panthersclaw
I was also thinking about whether or not they could make a new neopets console game. The ideas you mentioned were great and I would also like those to be included in a new game if they ever make it. The faerie's ruin plot idea and roberta and tormund being in the game sound awesome. Though I think new characters would be a great idea but they should include Roberta and Tormund maybe as allies or NPCs that make references to the Darkest Faerie game. Saying things like "This is almost as bad as when we had to stop that faerie from taking over the world." or "At least the clouds aren't a dark purple"
kandygrrl
I cringe at the thought of Jumpstart trying to make a videogame, but I think if they thought hard about making an event that tied in to the videogame's storyline, and called up the people who made the Darkest Faerie and the old TNT staff and learned a few things, they could maybe pull off a game that is almost as good as the original. If so, it'd be interesting to see Tormund and Roberta have to save Roo Island or Krawk Island, throw them out of their natural element. Whimsu
I'd love to see a new game! I'd really like to see some kind of battling game, similar to Pokemon I guess. And I can see why some people might consider it a rip off, but I think to existing Neopets players it wouldn't be. I'd like to it be a free roam environment, with a customizable character. Gender options with different clothing options. I'd like to see the ability to see your Neopet walk with you (or group of Neopets. Up to 4, like you're allowed to have on Neo.) There'd be a training area where you can train with your pets , maybe with mini games to level them up? And then there'd be a battle area to battle others, then a shopping/explore area. This area would include shops to shop for your avatar, and special weapons/foods/etc that give your pets extra boosts during battle. I hope I'm explaining this okay and not going in a circle. xD But anyways, I think it could work well either being a MMO or just a game you can play by yourself if it's not online. So the battle area would either have other online players waiting to battle, or in game (One player battledome) characters. (Imagine a huge Chia Clown waddling around the battle area waiting for you to approach him) If this game were to go the MMO route, then the shop/explore area would also be a chat area for people to hang out and chat to one another. I think something like this would be really amazing. I'd love to be able to bring my pixels to having movement. So maybe there'd be an option to connect accounts, but this would be entirely optional. So you could start a brand new little neo family just on the game alone.

Actually jumpstart wouldn't have to make it, they would just have to give the okay to have someone make it. A lot of authors do this. I WOULD LOVE a new game, especially with newer graphics, that would just be awesome!
TSUSMC9
You all have some really great ideas that I'd be up for seeing happen. Which a few has got me to thinking of even more ideas I'd like to see. We could always have a continuation of new games instead of just one. Maybe one more with Roberta and Tormund then the rest for a while being new characters. Anything would be great really, as long as it was like the first game and not another puzzle. @Panthersclaw I'd like that. At least if the protagonist weren't to be Tor & Roberta, it'd be nice for them to make an appearance as side characters that lend a hand or something to that effect. @kandygrrl I don't know a whole heck of a lot about the developers of The Darkest Faerie or Jumpstart. So I can't say much on whether or not it'd be cringe-worthy. Speaking of the developers of N:tDF, they did a wonderful job on the game. Of course I can remember bugs every now and again. But, with how games are handled now, that could easily be fixed with an update often when needed. Seeing Tor & Roberta on another Neopia world would be great. I personally would love to explore the Haunted Woods or the Lost Desert. I wouldn't mind Faeriland either considering it's new state of no longer floating above Neopia. Heck, maybe the game could be about getting Faerieland back in the sky or something. Who knows? @Whimsu Your idea would actually work well as a platform for online play. If we were to get another console game I wouldn't see why they would leave online play out. And your idea would actually fit perfectly for that. Have a normal story action adventure game for single player/offline then an account link up, customize character, huge open hub with option to battle, explore, shop, or whatever for online. I'm really glad to see that they are other people that want to see another console game happen. It would definitely make my year to hear that there was a possibility of such. I sadly don't think it'something we'll see any time in the near future. I've thought about making contact with whomever necessary to see about the possibilities or openness of this as well as maybe a petition too. I may very well still do the latter. But I guess we can see. kandygrrl
Breaziecat
What about one kind of like a sequel to the Faerie's Ruin? You could have the option of playing as Brynn or Hanso, and they could have different abilities that are needed in different situations. Or, you could have to control them both at the same time, or have a co-op mode where one player is Hanso, and the other is Brynn.
WhiteWolf
What about a game where you can create your own character? For that matter, what console would this game be on? While PS4 is the hot console, a lot of us still play PS3 because we can't afford the upgrade (Myself included).
teeniem55
At this point, I'd welcome anything new. It has been a year and there hasn't been much new content. Key Quest hasn't even come back yet. For the love of Poogles, Jump Start, give us SOMETHING!
TSUSMC9
I really like the ideas I've seen. Plots are a great place to get ideas to start from or continue on with. I hope enough talk can stir up maybe some discussion by those that would have control over making a new game. I just have my doubts with all that's been lacking on the website. (Was disappointed that there was no Faerie Festival) But, then again maybe an entirely new team could handle the development of a new console game. While the site continues fixing it's issues. I don't think they would be disappointed with sales if they did. What about a game where you can create your own character? For that matter, what console would this game be on? While PS4 is the hot console, a lot of us still play PS3 because we can't afford the upgrade (Myself included). I like this. I think this would be better as an online game play option though instead as standing in for the main stories game play. I myself still have just a PS3 even though I plan on upgrading at Christmas, I understand a lot of people don't. I'd prefer it be on PS3/PS4. Maybe the Wii. I'm not purposely trying to exclude Xbox but the other game wasn't on Xbox so I just assume they wouldn't change that. Honestly, it'd be great to see it spread across all platforms but I know how much time and money that'd take. Surely it's more then anyone would be willing to spend on a new Neopets game. Hert123
I'd like a game on the (3)DS, because that's what I carry around with me the most. I do have a Wii and PS3, though I want to upgrade to the PS4 next year. As they already made a game for the PS2, I think it'd be more logical to put the 'sequel' on the PS3. I just think it will not do well enough for JumpStart to even consider developing one. It could be an opportunity for JumpStart to try and attract more players to Neo though :)
