jumpingbeans Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Yes, you definitely have to read them all and watch the movie. On a side note, I managed to read 300 pages of a book in school today - 120 in Math and French combined (it's an English book), about 50 pages during lunch, a few during Social Studies, and the rest during English. :P Quote
Spritzie Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 How many books are there total? I'd probably get them from the library and I'm sure there's a mile-long waiting list for them. The same thing happened when the Song of Ice and Fire was made into the HBO series. Or any other books made into a TV series or movie. Quote
billpika_x8 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 HUNGER GAMES! I'm screaming "TEAM PEETA" all over school with my friends. Lovely :P Quote

There are three in the series; in order, they are The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay. Quote
flyingeevee Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I remember my fellow coconuts telling me to read the books last year but I've just been too busy to read for fun x'D Plus I found out they're making The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks into a movie and I haven't even read THAT yet >.> Quote
jumpingbeans Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I just finished a book today. The sad (happy?) part is that I also started it today. I had school today. It was 500 pages. :P Quote
Spritzie Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Thanks JB. :D I've written them down and I'll check into getting them tomorrow when I get into work. Quote
billpika_x8 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 If you like gruesome deaths, you'll be disappointed. My friend said they needed more gruesome deaths. I thought it was fine :P Quote
jumpingbeans Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I don't think they were enough gruesome deaths either. :P Quote
Jess Is Somewhere Else Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Another name change! What does it mean though? Quote
jumpingbeans Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 It's the name of the main character in The Hunger Games. Quote
passiflora Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 If you like gruesome deaths, you'll be disappointed. My friend said they needed more gruesome deaths. I thought it was fine :P Haha I thought there could have been more action and they could have showed a little more of the death scenes, too. It would have been really powerful considering the overall theme of the book/movie. But I suppose it wasn't deemed appropriate for the target audience. What they did have already made me cringe! :O It's the name of the main character in The Hunger Games. After seeing the movie, whenever I see that name I read it in Effie's voice. :laughingsmiley: Quote
jumpingbeans Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 After seeing the movie, whenever I see that name I read it in Effie's voice. :laughingsmiley: Great...now you'll get me to start doing that do...Kaht-Niss, Ever-Dean! Quote
:)Doc Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 JB your name initials don't mean JB this time... they mean KE :O Quote
jumpingbeans Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Doc, my initials haven't been JB in a long time, excluding my last name. :P Quote

jumpingbeans Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Oh. I feel really late. But that's cool! :D Do you mean you feel really old? :P But yeah, I'll be celebrating my 2nd anniversary on TDN soon, I think. I'll check. Edit: Wow, it was two days ago. *facepalm* Anyone up for a late party? :P Quote
Jess Is Somewhere Else Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Where do you get the ideas for your name changes? You must have a LOT of interests! Quote
jumpingbeans Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Well, they can be from books/movies I like (i.e. Xenophilius Lovegood, from Harry Potter, and Katniss Everdeen, from The Hunger Games, etc.), JB initialed/other (i.e. Jelly Bean, Jungle Beast, JB, Not JB, 01001010 01000010 [binaried JB]), but they're mainly random, on various scales, like completely random (gtdrol hgffhggfd ggggg), mostly random, (. . . , Absolutely No One, etc.), or somewhat random, but still in my interests (like 3.14 etc..., √π=?, The Easter Bunny [Note: During December. :P ], abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz ). Basically, from my imagination, a truly scary place. :P Quote
Jess Is Somewhere Else Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 So, in other words, a lot of interests? Quote
jumpingbeans Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 A lot of interests, yes. Including randomness. :D Quote
Jess Is Somewhere Else Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Well you do seem very random yourself... Quote
billpika_x8 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 So, uh, I'm considering re-watching the Hunger Games. My friends all are right now  Quote
