Spritzie Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 It's nice to see others getting snow, without getting any myself. It's been in the high 50s, mid-60s the past week or so. Quote
rachiee Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Tomorrow, it's going to be about 50 degrees... and rainy. Because it's going to be warm tomorrow, I was hoping that some of the snow would melt but I have a feeling it's just going to become a slushy mess. Quote
Spritzie Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 The next couple days are supposed to be in the 30s and 40s, but then it's right back into the 50s-60s. Rain definitely won't help things. Quote
Naamah D. Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I was totally about to play Key Quest. On Key Quest people get mad when you have to quit, so I've heard. Quote
Rune Valentine Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I braved the cold weather and snow to buy baking supplies and now I'm glad I did because my house smells de-li-cious! Red velvet cupcakes, anyone? :) Quote
Spritzie Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Cupcakes? :D We're going to have a couple cold days here now. This morning my car was covered in a pretty thick layer of frost. There hasn't been frost on my car in about a week until this morning. Quote
Nataluna Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 set for a record hot week this week, 39's-40's all the way. tomorrow is 38 :S the weather is so weird at the moment. and oooh cupcakes??!! :D the other day i learnt red velvet cupcakes were originally red because of a chemical reaction in the recipe, but now the brilliant red is usually due to added colouring because the grenadine is rarely available. thats my random fact of the day. Quote
Spritzie Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 It's supposed to be 49 today, and 38 tomorrow with snow. Then it's mid-50s starting Wednesday. Quote
Naamah D. Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting are my favorite :laughingsmiley: . I love baking cupcakes. I make Pina Colada cupcakes. Anyone like my font color? Quote
khaos Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I don't like cupcakes. :< I like the font color, Naamah! :D Quote
rachiee Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I love cupcakes, but I'm not good at decorating and frosting them. When I make cupcakes, I either make rainbow cupcakes with white/uncoloured frosting or non-coloured cupcakes with coloured frosting. I've been doing the former more frequently than the latter lately though~ Quote

Anyone like my font color? It actually reminds me of our old uniforms when I was in high school. Imagine green skirts! It looks better as your font ;) Pina Colada cupcakes sound interesting, I might try that some time :) I love cupcakes, but I'm not good at decorating and frosting them. I've been doing the former more frequently than the latter lately though~ There's lost of techniques you could pick up from the internet! I'll try and find some for you if you like. When I was still in culinary school we did weekend classes for cupcake decorating :) There's lots of fun stuff to do with cupcakes. I prefer them to regular cakes, mostly because they're tiny and easier to work with, and their tiny portable size means you can grab one anytime and eat with your hands xD Quote
Jess Is Somewhere Else Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I'm wearing my goth clothes. And my dragon earring. Quote
Naamah D. Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I'm wearing my goth clothes. And my dragon earring. Nice. Where I live we have a goth clothing store called Inkubus. I love that place! I don't know if they'd ship to the UK though. Quote
khaos Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Speaking of which, there was this choker I wanted to buy. Then my parents came up with like 50 different reasons of why I couldn't get it. >_> I'm currently doing some illustrations for a book I wrote. :/ I have to do a cave. Quote

I love my chokers/collars. I fall into the goth category. Right now I'm wearing my demon shirt. Quote
khaos Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I'm scene...-ish. :P It was basically a black choker with spikes on it all around, an a big ol' skull in the middle. :P Quote
Naamah D. Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I have one with spikes. I don't wear it very often though. My mom got me a key necklace from a Steampunk mueseum that I adore. Quote
atomicaffliction Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Oh my! I have never met anyone who didn't much like cookies! Oreos are amazing! Quote
Tedhaun Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Now that you mention Oreos, I really like the Double Stuf kind, as well as the ones with the chocolate filling instead of its normal colour filling. I still like to put them in my chocolate ice cream when I get the chance. Quote
Rune Valentine Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 All sugary baked goods are amazing. But I may be a little biased. Just a little bit. ;) I am guilty of still stocking oreos at home, despite my best efforts, you really can't replace the junky goodness of oreos. I like the Halloween ones best :D Quote
Sweetdang Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Helllllo friends, guess who's back! :D (thank god we're not talking about the weather) Quote
Tedhaun Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 None other than you of course, and glad to see that you're happy as well. Just you wait until you get 2,000 posts, we have something special waiting for you... Quote
Sweetdang Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Please don't let it be the weather! :P Yes, its nice spritzie has a law named after her, even if it's about something which basically goes as: SUN RAIN SUN RAIN SUN RAIN for me!!! And I am WAY excited to get there. (: Mega mega mega! I fell short of it before I went on hiatus... and now all you guise are fantastic and I am still down at super! :c Your pst count WHOOSHED while I was away! :D Quote
Sakabato Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Welcome back, Sweetdang, where have you been? And yeah, I'm glad it's not about the weather now, I think it's discussed too often (mostly snow) , maybe it should have it's own thread. Quote
