I'm hit and miss with technology a lot of time. Half the time, I want to throw my computer and cell phone out the window. And I often wish I never had to see all of the computer equipment at work again. But I'm still pretty attached to it all. (Except my phone. I could do without it.)

Yeah, I could easily live without my phone. I don't have unlimited anything- plus, I was never really big on texting or calling. Now, I can't live without my computer. I could probably live without my iPod, but only for a few days at most :P

I don't like talking on the phone with people, but I'm also lazy, and often don't pick up the phone when i get a text. Then I forget that I've been texted, and never respond :laughingsmiley:

Haha, Manta, I'm sure you've upset many a person that way. Then again, so have I :) I just don't like talking on the phone because it seems like I never quite get what I'm trying to say across. Typing or talking in person is just much easier

Lol yeah, i've irritated people without meaning to, i'm sure xDDD

My close friends know that I do that a lot, and that I often leave my phone off. If people get offended, I'm not too bothered. I'm not a social creature anyway :laughingsmiley:

I am the worst cell phone owner. I am forever forgetting to charge my phone and put minutes on it. I have no interest in having phone conversations with people while I'm out. I only use it to call home to see what I might be forgetting to buy at the grocery store. Canadian cell phone plans are terrible, so I have no incentive to use my phone more.

I've had 5 phones. :laughingsmiley:

The first one, the charger part of the phone broke.

The second one, I cracked the screen and broke it in half.

The third one, I dropped in water.

The fourth one, my friend broke in half.

The fifth one, was taken away.

So, now I just use my iPod to text. :)

I used to take horrible care of my phone and never charge it, or i'd accidentally leave it somewhere.

I left it on the curb outside my house for 2 hours once. xP

Now thoygh I actually have someone that I text probably more than(Every minute or so...) I should and I never lose it. 8D

That's pretty much the only reason I used my phone. To text my best friend (who's a girl! :rolleyes_anim:)

To be honest, I couldn't live without the internet.

I'm shocked that we got Meridell today, I can't wait to show them who's boss in the rematch!

I hate texting. There's just something about it. Yesterday we went to go pick my dad up and my mom said "Naamah, send a text to your dad to let him know we're going to be late" and I said "Whyyyy?????? Can't I just call him instead?????" "Texting is so much easier Naamah." I said "Fine......" my brother said "Sam, you're not a proper American for not texting!"

I didn't know not liking something questioned my nationality. You learn something new every day.

I never text, it takes too much typing on the phone when you can talk to him/her instead. Plus my fingers are too big for the buttons (not that big).

I think it's really freakin' annoying when I tell my friends to call my home phone number and THEY SEND ME A TEXT INSTEAD like I tell them not to :grrr: And whenever my friends send texts to me, the guy who discovered grammar tosses and turns in his grave. :/ Seriously, their texts are laced with "dis" and "dat" and "u" and "wut" and "k" and whatnot...it's quite annoying.

oh geez i hate when people talk in chatspeak. my grandma texts like that, and it drives me CRAZY!!! I don't mind a missed capitalization here or there, but "u" and "2" drive me nuts :laughingsmiley:

Posted

See I love texting, but hate chatspeak in texts. Especially because my dad has started doing it. A "u" every once in a while is okay, but my dad will say "kewl" instead of cool which is stupid because it saves no space whatsoever and just makes him look silly

I prefer texts if it's short, but I'm one of those that despises phone calls. I only call when I need to.

I think my main problem is that i dislike communicating with people :laughingsmiley: Ever since I quit playing Magic, I don't have a real life anymore

I just don't like phone calls, I think they're awkward. I prefer in person, or texts/emails.

I hit rank 15 finally! :D Now to decide whether to try for rank 16, or to just be done with it.

I wish I had the time to rank up higher than Rank 1 . . . maybe next AC

I definitely prefer talking in person than on the phone, but texting or online will do.

Random topic change: It's 10am where I am but I'm finding myself wanting lunch. Does anybody else feel weird about eating lunch before 11?

Posted

I'd just eat when I was hungry. If I wasn't at work, I'd go for lunch right now and it's 9am. (But I do get off work at 1pm today.)

Posted

I usually forget to eat when I'm busy, but it always felt weird to me back in middle school when my lunch was at like...10:30pm

Now, I just eat whenever. Opportunistic college student scavenger :laughingsmiley:

I usually snack here and there at work when my blood sugar gets too low, then have a normal dinner at home.

"Opportunistic college student scavenger" is definitely becoming a part of my regular vocabulary now.

I usually don't eat unless I'm really REALLY hungry. I didn't eat much yesterday until I got my hands on a two plate Mexican dinner, I ate like a barbarian. That plate was clean!
