Finals are the big tests you take at the end of a class for all high school classes.

 

I have midterms in mid-January, and finals at the end of May. We don't do block scheduling, so that's probably why our midterms and finals are at different times.

The only reason I can figure as to why ours are called finals is because they are the finals for the semester. But technically, they're mid-terms.
