zoologynerd Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 We are up to a few inches. Its been melting though so Im glad :) dont like snow. Quote
leahchuu Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 There is so much snow here. I'm not sure how much.. I'm trying to hibernate :P It's pretty, but I really prefer warmth D: Quote
maldoror122 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 We have quite a bit of snow here, and not the nasty slushy kind, but rather the solid kind that sticks. I quite enjoy it, especially considering it's not particularly cold. :laughingsmiley: Quote
Danielle! Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 We had around 18 inches of snow here from the end of November until the beginning of January, when it started melting. It was awful. The UK grinds to a halt when there is the slightest flurry, so imagine what this was like! There are still patches lying around, which have solidified to ice. The temperature is still struggling to get above freezing so it'll be lying there for a while, I think! Quote
zoologynerd Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 weee! it finally stopped snowing on campus. but not its all melting into slush! :( which is worse lol Quote
Manta Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 woohoo it's snowing again!!! :D *dances* now if only classes were canceled lol xDD Quote
zoologynerd Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 woohoo it's snowing again!!! :D *dances* now if only classes were canceled lol xDD last year our governor of the state cancelled school for ALL colleges, our school managed to get that repealed for our school because "it wasnt that bad out" only to cancel starting at 1. it stopped snowing by then. and all my classes were before 1  i was not pleased. Awww man that really sucks!! :( I'm sorry... :sad01_anim: Last year, we had one snow day! It was the day of the organic chemistry exam...Unfortunately, I had already arranged to take it earlier in the morning, so when I got to the exam room, I found out that classes were cancelled. I still had to take the test then, but everyone else got an extra day to study. *is still aggravated* Quote
xLaura Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 I live in Syracuse, NY, which on average gets about 20 more inches of snow than anywhere else in the country...literally snow about 6 months of the year. Quote

xLaura Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 A few years back, we had snow on the ground for 5.5 months roughly. worst. winter. ever! :( Yeah, snow is only pretty up until christmas..then it's just depressing. Every time I walk outside im like..ugh MORE snow?!? Quote
selusa Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 It snowed again for us last night. Really pretty and fluffy, but of course the roads are horrid. Our snowplows don't really do their jobs here. It was about 10 degrees C two days ago, and this morning it was -30 C. I had to scrape the *inside* of my windshield because apparently frost on the outside just wasn't cutting it. XP Quote
Spritzie Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 It didn't snow much over-night, but we are supposed to get hit with a bigger storm. But right now, it's just cold. It's currently -8 degrees (F) but due to the wind chill, it feels like -29. Quote
Sam I Am Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Today is my second snow day in a row, so to answer your question, yes I get a lot of snow! Quote
UnitheXweetok Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Im in dallas as much as 3-5 in been snowed in trapped with no milk and little food for 2 days! Quote
xLaura Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 we were told we were going to get a MASSIVE BLIZZARD last night and i wake up..no snow lol..i guess a warm front cut across the snow and cancelled out or whatever..in short..i wanted my classes to be cancelled but none of them were Quote
rugrat0ne Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 I'm really hating snow right now. It's my own fault, I guess. I've been stalling and stalling on raking the roof and shoveling the deck, and now I *have* to do it, because the realtor's coming on Sunday with people wanting to see the house, and we're expecting more snow tomorrow. What I'm trying to shovel is waist-high snow, with an ice crust about halfway down. Ack. I'm all sweaty just from raking the porch roof. Quote
xLaura Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 dont fall off, that would suck, i always wished my house had icicles but my mom informed me that because she cleans the gutters riiight before snowfall, no icicles form, so depressing. Quote
Raku Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Hong Kong never had any snow... Probably a bit too warm here... :P Quote
xLaura Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 i was supposed to go to the casino tonight and now im not because of the freaking snow. Quote
