    Let's see...2002 makes me...sixteen when I started playing (to my knowledge). And I'm twenty-eight now. ^_^

I like Skeiths, too, because they eat junk. :D Grarrls do, but they're a little creepier than the pudgy, slightly cross Skeith. (Skeiths are kind of the Grumpy Cat of Neopets, aren't they? *laughs*)

It's funny...I never had the desire for a draik egg until I started the draiks vs. krawks discussion on here...and then I got one and wouldn't get rid of him for the world! O.o

Welcome, welcome...I look forward to talking to you!

I agree with the rotting item comment...the same with good names for different pets. I wanted to name a skeith after my favorite NCIS actor, but no go--he's an acara on a rotten account. And I know it's rotten not just because it says "a long, long time"; but it was clearly created back before Lindsay Lohan went off the deep end...after she (the user) watched Freaky Friday, by the looks--the account has Lindsay, Mark Harmon, Jamie Lee Curtis and a name I assume belongs to the actor that played Lindsay's boyfriend.

When I was younger, I was like, "Oh, I'll get a cell phone and get to Lutari Island!" and...poof. Out. (And if you want a Lutari, they only come around once a year! No wonder lots of us get more than one. :P )

I like Japanese things (not a JPop/Kawaii nut, however), and think they could do a lot with Shenkuu. What, I don't know, but...*shrugs and smiles*

If the stripes on a white kougra were black instead of blue, I'd be a kougra. (Love white tigers!)

Never figured out why I love kacheeks so much. Maybe they're just too darn cute. xD

I've had an exciting past few days. In fact, I hope I remember the past couple of days the next time I think life is boring and nothing ever happens. :>

Yesterday morning, I discovered an email that I've been waiting for for a long time. I've been trying to get into the state of Michigan--for pretty much anything, really--since I was about nineteen or twenty. (And I'm twenty-eight, if you'll remember.) When the state is interested in you, they'll contact you for an exam based on what you applied for. That was my email! The Michigan Department of Corrections wants me to take the secretary test! I go next Tuesday.

So I was bouncing off the walls and starting to post about it on Facebook when the phone rings. It's the company who owns the new theater that's due to have a soft opening at the mall on July 7! I'm booked in for that on Saturday.

Then today, there's a storm and shortly afterward, the power goes out. I happened to be playing Angry Birds and I look up a couple of minutes later and the voicemail light is flashing. It's Meijer*...they're finally calling me back for the second phase of the interview process to become a pharmacy technician! I had trouble getting back with them, but I finally got someone and got setup for Wednesday.

    WHEW!

*Meijer is like Walmart, only a different color scheme, unionized, different prices and only located in the midwest. They were also a grocery store first and expanded to general merchandise later; unlike Walmart, which was the other way around.

Thank you, Lia, my love! I've been unemployed for six months, so this is crazy amazing. It's a good thing I have other possibilities, because the state can take from three weeks to three months to hire you. O.o

Haha, that is funny about your counselor! Neopets really is addictive. I got one of my sisters into it, and she does not care for computer games. Now, she makes time out of her busy work day for it. lol

I usually tell them to stop and if they persist I ignore them. I am fine with talking religion but I am not changing my beliefs for another person. I'm wiccan and I am happy working on my path. It has done me a lot of good in terms of personal and spiritual growth. I think it is great if a friend wants to share what has done them good in their life too. However if they want to use their religion as a weapon or a n excuse to be racist, sexist, or homophobic then I want nothing to do with them. I don't waste my time on bigots. I have more positive people to keep in my life.

    I need to say something:

    Your patience is commendable.

You have displayed a perspective upon which we should all obtain. Ie; your ability to see that she means well, even if she's forcing her religious views on you. You're setting an example for her. And yes, she's entitled to her beliefs, and her beliefs states that she can "save" people by converting them. But deep down, I doubt she really thinks you're going to Hell. Even when I was religious, I fought with that belief.

For her, it's difficult. She's surrounded by a religious community which will restrict her mind significantly. While the homosexual marriage issue isn't actually that big of an issue, I guarantee that her Church makes it so.

You won't be able to change her just as much as she won't be able to change you. In fact, the more hostile to become with her the more she'll respond in kind. To some religious people, a world without God simply cannot exist and isn't plausible. It's her lifestyle and it'll be difficult if not impossible for her to change.

But understand that you don't need to set aside your views, either.

You love her as a friend. That's what's important.

Going to Church wouldn't be so bad though, however, she may think it'll convert you and be surprised if it doesn't. Also, make sure she doesn't get others involved!

Anyway, yes, you're definitely a very opened minded person!!! Not conceited in the least and very patient.

I've been in your shoes, and it's hard. I'm totally liberal and I call myself Pagan, because that's really the easiest way to define it - I believe in both a God and a Goddess, although I don't adhere strictly to any one doctrine. I found out early on that organized Christian religion wasn't for me, although I tried because it seemed to be what society wanted from me - I wasn't comfortable at all. I didn't believe. It's a long story and if you'd like, we can talk more about it via PM, but basically, I found my own way through an extensive amount of reading and soul searching. I actually got into an in depth conversation once with a friend of ours about my beliefs, and the man was very Christian and strict (for himself), but once we talked, he sat back and looked at me and told me that he could totally understand and respect my beliefs. That was a very nice conversation to have, and I wish all friends could be that open. Honestly, I've actually had to walk away from friendships because of this - and I didn't want to make that choice, but they just couldn't respect my viewpoint and stop cramming theirs down my throat. Really, that's a tough way to put it but that's how I felt. I can respect your viewpoint, and I won't talk down to you about it, so why can't you do the same for me? But I've also had friends that have realized that I'm not going to change, and they've come to accept it. I'm pretty outspoken about my beliefs if prodded, though.

I really like the idea of this thread! I debated between another custom for the last contest, and it's nice that I can now preview the alternatives.

The koi custom looks great, and I really love the wig the draik is using. :) I have to get it someday!

Edit: This was the alternative custom for the last contest:

Novelista- Aw that is a cute custom! I really like the wig she is wearing, and I love kacheeks. haha Good luck in the contest!
