  1. Wheel of Excitement: 256 np

Wheel of Knowledge: free spin, free spin, free spin, free spin, free spin, King Hagan's wisdom: "The king who fixes his gaze on the clouds may trip over pebbles." (well that explains a lot :worried:)

but seriously how can I get 5 respins, but I still don't have the avatar?

  2. This is probably a question long overdue, but I've always done my dailies sort of mindlessly since it's just my routine.

What is the shop of offers though? I mean I click on the link from the dailies page & I get the "rich slorg gives you NP" event, but is that it?

Just wondering why neopets would make a page of random adds. Maybe I'm over thinking :guiltysmiley:

  3. I've been wondering the same actually. While I was going for packrat I was planning to get all of the omelettes (each fraction is a 'unique item' so that's 4 items per type of omelette!).

I ended up buying the most of the whole omelettes & feeding my pet because I'm a cheapskate...

I bought a few partially eaten ones because my poor pets were always bloated :x

    1. If there's a one of the 'large goal' powerups, grab that, it'll help a lot!
    2. Don't bother facing directly at the goal when you shoot; Darigan yooyu's go wherever you /don't/ want them to, so trick them into scoring by facing sideways, or even backwards.
    3. Get as close to the goal as you can so the yooyu doesn't really have any other option than to go in; fake-out the goalie to make them go to one far side, and then run to the other side and shoot.

Sometimes if I get unlucky I'll spend 30-45 seconds chasing the yooyu around the field, but most of the time I get it in the goal after a few tries and can continue with my game. Good luck!

Perfect advice! I usually get right up at the goal & stand backwards sort of at an angle.

If it's an especially mischievous yooyu I just sit back and watch the carnage. Nothing makes me happier than to watch an opposing team score for darigan citadel with a darigan yooyu.

If you have the patience to spend a few hours refreshing, I don't see why not. I can guarantee you'll be able to buy something at a price much lower than the shop wizard/ trading post price, but I don't know how long it will take for you to sell them, because so far I'm keeping all those stamps and coins for my stamp album instead of selling. Here's a list of items and shops that you can look out for. http://www.neopets.com/~delnia#2

(Do NOT buy the Alien Aisha Myriad Stamp and Bikiwan)

Also don't forget the third of each month (that's tomorrow!) is half price day so you might want to restock in bulk!

Thanks for the link! I got it bookmarked for next time I can get that boon. I'm definitely excited for half price day I got it all planned out^^

Hey VanillaVanity, that's a really good idea. A good set that is versatile for a number of opponents would need a strong core of equipment. If you don't have it already, I'd recommend a Downsize! (Spelled just like that with the ! in the name as well), It will block 50% of all damage for one turn once per battle. Also, a healer, Constant-icon attacker, and Shield that lasts more than one use or once-per-battle. That would use up 4 slots, with 4 open for different types of equipment. :)

There are fair amount of decent shields that don't cost a ton of NP. Same with weapons, even some good reflectors. One thing I would recommend that will help you, is to get your cybunny's defense to 35. This will increase your defense boost(multiplier) from 1.25 to 1.5.
If you don't already know, you can find the strength and defense boosts and where your STR/DEF needs to be to gain them, here.

If you'd like some item suggestions for your collections for different opponents, feel free to inquire about battle-set advice. Just list what you currently use, and if you have a price-range in mind, a budget. But overall, I'd recommend training to get the most out of the cheaper weapons and shields. :)

Also, another article that might be useful, the article on Faerie Abilities.

Best of luck and happy battling! ^_^

Thank you! I've definitely go buy Downsize!.

Actually I do have a question as far as the 'math' of the battledome.

As far as I understand it's basically:

base damage = Strength x Boost x Icons

damage negated = Defence x Boost x Defence Icons

damage inflicted = the difference between the two above

at least that's what I *think* I've actually been trying to find a breakdown of all of the math and calculations.

I really like the battledome and I'm good at math so I figure that would be a good angle to approach it from.

For some reason my profits dropped quite drastically as well. I have a shop sized 56 and I used to sell about 30-40 items and be able to get upwards of NP 40,000 in my shop till every day (net profit about NP 20,000), but now I only get half the sales with much less profit. I always check prices on jellyneo item database when I restock, and sometimes if the last updated time was fairly long ago it's worth checking at the shop wizard myself. If the price has dropped too much, I usually remove it to my safety deposit and wait till the price goes up again. It almost always will, since people will no longer restock that item, and eventually demand becomes greater than supply.

That's a wonderful idea actually! I've been hoarding interesting finds with hopes similar to that.

Also if you have lots and lots of time to spare, consider choosing the Black Market Goods boon from Battledome of Obelisk, it allows you to restock r84+ items that usually give you great profits. At this cycle, I've got two books, one stamp and one coin so far.

so it IS worth it? I do the obelisk every week & I was going to try that one day. I actually have the Cheaper By The Dozen boon at the moment.

I personally don't think restocking is as profitable as it once was but it's still one of the best ways to earn neopoints. Everybody above me has really good tips- I also suggest the SSW if you're interested in making a quick profit through sniping or just having the lowest priced items, but I know not everybody wants to spend real world money on the site.

I was actually thinking about premium honestly. It seems pretty nice & with the amount of time I spend on Neopets now it would probably be worth it.

Still gotta get used to the feeling that I'm an adult on neopets & I can actually spend my money if I want. :shiftyeyes_anim:

  9. I'm glad it's not just me! I've been using a site other than Jellyneo to check prices & everything there was pretty far off. I actually used Jellyneo to reprice my items & I sold 30 items within a few hours. I'll definitely have to use their database all the time now. I'll definitely check out the smaller & more profitable shops. The chocolate factory definitely has a lot of items & many of them do look really similar. I kind of have a feeling that was part of the problem I restock there a lot oops. Thanks for all of the advice!

  10. I've been restocking at mostly the Bakery, the Chocolate Factory & Fresh Foods and I don't seem to be making a real profit. I have a size 50 store stocked to the brim & I've actually had to slow down my buying, because I don't have room! The problem for me is that the prices just seem to keep changing. I buy something that sells for a profit, but then the price goes down sometime after I put it into my shop. I just repriced my shop and I don't even want to think about how much I'm probably going to lose. I know restocking is still a thing, so I'm wondering if i'm missing the big picture here.

I actually like restocking it's pretty fun. I'd love to get better at it (and hopefully fix my dilemma)

Any advice or general information for a restocking newbie?

  11. I know you aren't allowed to get anything from the Advent Calendar on your side account, but you can store your main's Advent items there right?

I can only imagine they would get you for the actual action of receiving the items at that moment and not tracing the contraband goods back to the person in question...

I want to use my side account as storage for things I'll want in the future, but that I don't want cluttering my SDB right now. I know you have unlimited storage, but that that I have packrat I want it clean.

*i know I sound paranoid, but I've heard lots of horror stories of banned people & yeah I'm a bit paranoid actually*

  12. So I'm a new battledome-er & I've read articles but the difficulty rating of opponents is still something I don't understand. I know I remember reading the difficulty of an opponent has something to do with their hp and/or strength.

My question is how do I know what opponents I may be able to beat? Is there a way to come up with my own 'difficulty' & just compare it to the opponent I want to fight?
