So I was playing Neopets: the Darkest Faerie on my PS2 (currently in a save file I'm in chapter 3 which is my favourite AND trying to make 1 million np just because it's fun) and I saw like a speck on the screen, I don't pause the game, I just go up and go try to rub it off the screen.
The speck was a few inches below Tormund's feet on the screen, and I kid you not, while in his "idle standing mode" he turned around and glared at me while I was trying to clean the speck...

I was horribly afraid and backed off. He turned back around and then I proceeded to clean up the speck and then ran to my computer to tell you people

 

Do you ever feel as if your Neopets or Neopets in general are "watching you"?

Just going to go to work, maybe see my niece, play neopets, and avoid the sun and the bugs. I don't like bugs and sun burn

Oh my goodness, that gelert is very cute like that. I love this design. I wonder how cute a pastel gelert would be =3 only time will tell

I'm really glad they're back, it helps me see the neopets of people I befriended and buy from their shops

We can all agree Jumpstart definitely doesn't have the heart to pour into Neopets like TNT did since TNT focused mainly on Neopets, where as with Jumpstart likely the people given the task of running Neopets likely are working "double hired" like they work on the Jumpstart site mostly then they go over to the room with the Neopets stuff and they start their shift there.

I'm glad it's over... it wasn't as bad as predicted, but I just am happy to have Neopets back to normal for another 365 days (next year is a leap year) =3 time to wait for the cybunny festival so my cybunny can get her cupcake

The downside of if this was a real item would be it would go away for a while, then you'd be relying on the retired item capsules to get it in the NC Mall, or have to trade 30 Faerie Quest Cookies or 10 MME items for it.

All in all, it'd be good, but also have downfalls.

Everyone enjoy planet Jumpstart with the vikings and the Non-pets, I'm getting sleep. Ok, this year is kinda funny, confusing a little but funny so far

 

... except now I can't read because the blue and red is difficult to read =/ well, I tried

the Jumpstart characters are there too!!!! Nostalgia! As a kid I had Jumpstart 2nd Grade... I hope I see Edison the Firefly while peeking around Neopia.

This year isn't something sinister I think.... well, so far, we still have the whole day

I just am afraid the prank will be something that might stress me out. When on Neopets I am a creature of habit, I just hope that if there is a prank that it'll be something small and won't involve being without items, neopoints, neocash, or a cure for a random disease. I don't like not being able to handle a situation where I usually have control, my children... I mean neopets are hungry, I feed them. I go to the NC Mall and buy stuff for my neopets, I sell my things, do my dailies and try not to let my neopets get ailments and try to get off before King Skarrl Marrow Taxes me.

And last year to me it was no big deal and I gladly fed all the foster pets like they were my own neopets, but after seeing some more "sinister" pranks that TNT has done I know I panic over things like being without something necessary. It's just more of me being... a stick in the mud I guess

Ever since I joined Neopets last year, I encountered the April Fools' Day prank, now, for most of the users on the site, it's no big deal, but looking back at some of the pranks, I don't think some were so funny or light hearted

When I encountered the Neotax page which was still active it made me anxious because it was asking 100,000 np, and when I read about the Pants Devil stealing everything from users and the mysterious illness prank I started to dread this year.

I'm scared they might take away items, make all the pets invisible, have the site down for the whole day (which would stink because it'll be my usul's birthday tomorrow), taking away all the NC or making the items in the NC Mall 10,000 NC each, or something worse.

I know it should be all in good fun, but I'm worried that it'll be something that will be scary to wake up to and deal with as I try to do my dailies, stock my shop and celebrate my usul's birthday

 

 

Is anyone else here dreading becoming an April Fool of TNT tomorrow or am I the only one and just need to suck it up and say "it is what it is?"

I remember an April Fool's Joke that revolved around paying NP per pages you visited, but that was a long time ago, and since you say you've been around for a year, it can't be it. What is that tax?

I can't believe it, it feels like it's been longer.

I have bought 28 Neocash cards (mostly the 10 dollar ones, some 25 dollar ones though), I have now 4 beautiful little angels Ruby_Hooves the Ixi , fdxvhgx (Vigie) the Ogrin , Usagi_Angel the Usul , and Violetta_Silvertoes the Cybunny I do the dailies, I take part in what I can do, I sell items, I trade items, I share items, and I have a great time playing the Darkest Faerie on my Playstation 2 while offline

 

While on Neopets I saw things that I never thought people actually did on a gaming site; Easter Negg Hunts, A tournament like FIFA, having to take in Foster pets as a part of a practical joke, an Advent calendar that gave more than cheap chocolates, and the craziest price fluctuations since gas prices in my city from December until March.

 

I've come so far, and there's still another whole journey to go on, and I wouldn't do anything differently... except I would have bought the Negg Dust and I wouldn't have clicked that page with the Neotax on it, that REALLY scared me when Neopets wanted me to give up all my hard earned Neopoints.. but besides that I'm looking forward to my second year of Neopets!

Once someone bought a grey paint brush from me at auction, I was so thankful someone bought it and when the np went through to me I kept their username and sent them over some space faerie cupcakes, books and a few toys for their neopets.

I just was thankful and wanted to give back to them for buying something so valuable.

So now if I ever get a paintbrush or morphing potion worth over 55k I'll send them some goodies.

I got in the same trouble when I told them if they were on dA to add me, and I got a warning and I freaked out and stopped messaging people for a whole week.

I no longer talk about dA on neopets.. and Neopets doesn't even like the tdnforums.. I tried to link it to someone and they said "go back and rewrite this message" and I did, I changed it to "Oh your Ixi looks adorable" or something like that

It's really difficult when you want to talk with someone off of neopets but you can't due to these rules =/

I'm just worried they'll make the site so kid orientated that it'll make it boring and/or not fun for the older demographic who already play on Neopets.

That's my main concern.

My second concern is that they'll make more words "censor" words.. not just grape and skill, but possibly even the word fuchia.

Illusen is my favourite faerie due to the Darkest Faerie. I loved her voice in that game, it was so delicate and angelic, like a real woodland faerie would sound X3

The other faeries are cool too, but I just absolutely love Illusen, who else is an Illusen fan?

I cannot look at anyone's page and it is driving me alittle batty especially when I want to see their neopets ='(

I'm a little worried to be honest. Jumpstart is knowns for their learning games. I am just worried that Neopets might get changed into a website that is COMPLETELY orientated for childhood learning while the fans are left in the dark.

Which is what I fear.

There already learning resources on Neopets. Like 20% random marrow taxes from King Skarrl, how to price items in an open market, how miniature golf is very difficult when you are playing to get the best score and not for fun, how to look after dependant creatures (looking after real animals is more difficult, however you know to feed them, bathe them, play with them and make sure they are looked after when they're sick), the stock market, economy and potential crashes due to too much supply and no demand, and other valuable lessons that I can't think of.

Well, I wouldn't want to just sit by and not help a fellow Neopian =3

Nifty, it sounds like luck is active in Neopia and visits users to give them something grand.

Honestly, for the most part random events scare me, after King Skarrl took a chunk of np from me I became untrusting, but seeing all these great things makes me a little less afraid of random events.
