  1. Mission accomplished! Post checked. The alfalfa is in progress now, in its jar on top of the fridge. This is too labour-intensive for me to do again, it needs rinsing several times a day... yeah, no way my brain will be able to remember that. But hopefully this time at least I'll be able to manage it. I pause in my reply to go water my broccoli and radish microgreens while I think about it! *intermission* I wonder if that ^ means anything to any of you? I'm not at all sure where it's popped up from in my head xD Definitely something about intermissions showing a goldfish bowl on the screen, but I can't remember where this info has come from. ..... Ok, done! Also some radish greens harvested to add to my breakfast! Feeling so very virtuous now. Now I have every intent of sowing my other seeds today, during my mid-posting pause in the kitchen just now I made some space for a third seedtray, so part of me at least is hopeful of this happening! They're in seedtrays indoors so safe from birdies. I have an avocado in progress right now. There's just something very compelling about sprouting these guys isn't there! They never last that long with me, about 18 months is the longest, it was too ratty-looking by then so I got rid of it. Yesterday I took it out of the soil it was in (there's zero sign of germination yet, only been in there about 2 weeks) and I've tried the baggie method! That's now residing on the windowsill. This method's meant to be quicker? We shall see! I'm hopeful of keeping the plant looking nice for longer too, by cutting it back so it grows stronger, but not so much that it dies which is what I did last time. I've done the impaled on toothpicks and suspended with their behind in water method previously, but the water gets full of algae too quickly; plus anything with the potential for me doing something disastrous is best avoided if at all possible xD So water in multiple glass objects on a narrow sill... yeah, let's not go there again, I managed to smash one of a set of painted glasses by doing this last year. My ex's Jack Russell, he had an ear infection. I'd put his drops in for him and he too clearly enjoyed how having them massaged in felt, he did the same groany thing! He was SUCH a good boy about these drops. After just a couple of applications I only needed to show him the bottle and he'd get a look on his face and go and flop down on his bed with a martyred sigh (drama queen) with the left ear upwards so I could put them in. So PFFT! all over that you can't teach an old dog new tricks, thing, he was 17 at the time! I'd say the people who are being various flavours of jerk during this are the ones who are like that anyway, just maybe not normally quite as bad? For sure it's bringing out the best in people, but it's most definitely bringing out the worst too. That guy in the supermarket, he's probably just being more of a jerk than usual these days.
  2. Yeah! You know I realised that after posting, lol. Of course they are! So no reason why the other aquatic pets can't have a Maraquan form too. Those are very cool, aren't they. But are they meant to be a sea lion or a walrus... *checks* Oh, seems sea lions just look like seals. I didn't realise that, walrus it is then! The Maraquan Peophin's lovely. It's a hippocamp isn't it! So maybe this aquatic species got a Maraquan form because it was so obvious which it could be? Where as for the Jetsam for example. The Grarrl's already a meaner-looking shark. Though wait, no, that's not a shark, look at the dorsal fin, totally un-sharklike, the teeth mislead me! It's just a really mean fish, hmmm! Poog's are hammerhead sharks. Oh I dunno, this is hurting my head now I'd just like to see the Maraquan fun shared by all pets.
  3. I'm watching Tremors. So kitschy it's just awesome; this film stands up to the test of time pretty well, I hear Kevin Bacon's not so thrilled that it's basically a cult classic now though.
  4. Yes! I thought that too I was wondering about not zapping this one any more as it's a Ray Jr. exclusive, then still did.
  5. Contrary Bunners FTW!!! Now what way is @Scoobert_Doo going??
  6. I'd not considered that. I'd assumed that aquatic pets just didn't get a Maraquan makeover: Flotsams; Jetsams; Kois; Tuskaninnies. But then there's a Maraquan Acara... but that's a made-up pet isn't it, that doesn't look particularly amphibious (I honestly forget they are) same as the Lutari... not a RL water creature with a Neo-name. Interesting... Maybe it's because the first 4 are 100% aquatic creatures, but with the other two being amphibious rather than solely water-dwelling it opens things up a bit? I'd like to see a Maraquan version of the pets with fins! Bit unfair - and somewhat ironic - that they miss out; they could be different/fancier versions of their species rather than mimicing something else.
  7. It does have a very realistic look, doesn't it. It's not particularly cute, it's just a fish with a Wocky's face.
  8. Hopefully that won't cause a problem at all then Very little fragrance in aloe so hopefully there'll be no issue with it. Limonell's a bit in your face, so I can definitely see that being the cause of your problem! You'll find out soon enough though. Really? I'm clearly so lucky that I had plenty already before it became a rare commodity, also my mum nabbed a pack for me and dropped it off when she delivered my meds. It's a 6-roll pack but they're double rolls so with that and the 3 rolls I have left from my big pack I'm good for at least 15 weeks with regard to loo roll! For this I am very grateful! That's what they're doing here. No limit on the amount of kids they can bring in with them though as they're aware some people have no choice but to brings their children with them. I'm so hoping to get myself together enough to go check my post at some point today. It's a pain for anyone having to go on a trek to get their post in a country where we have a letterbox in our front doors mostly; but with my brain issues it's a real problem for the motivation to go and do this. I have more seeds patiently waiting down there for me to plant them! I decided to attempt growing microgreens as a means to get some fresh greens in these times of groceries instability. i sowed some broccoli and radish seeds and those are coming along very nicely, especially the radishes as those are crazy with how quick and easy they are to grow. It's all down to me remembering to water them. The seeds I've yet to collect are alfalfa, red clover and salad burnet so we'll see how I get on with those! Especially as the alfalfa needs to be sprouted in water in a jar, could be disastrous! Forget about it and discover this rancid-smelling slime days later... >.<
  9. All change for Alice! So now I can get confused by having two Kacheeks rather than two Blumaroos. The ray is fired at thenameisalice... ... and he changes into a Blue Kacheek!! Your Ad Here shall now be known as Lemondrop. How nice.
  10. Yep, that's a cutie alright! I've been so scared of any Maraquan pets being released because of the obvious lack of imagination of the artists they've been using lately. *mutters darkly about Darigan Vandy* They've done a pretty good job with this though. I'm intrigued by why you find it scary? It's just a catfish, not the most imaginative of Maraquan pets, but still apt.
  11. Yes. And him actually creating the Blumaroo pet is also cool, my Cora thanks him for her existence. To me it is really great that TNT have brought a former Neo-artist back into the fold. I wonder if this guy had a TNT name... maybe not if he worked primarily for Nickelodean, but the art being created by someone with knowledge of the site's history is absolutely the best option isn't it. So, neggies... Ok, I'll listen to you guys! *picks* I have been SO lucky this event! 7 hours later... That was painless! OH! Forgot the mechanical negg! I wonder if either of my girls will like this, not overly keen on it myself.
  12. So we're split again. The Sway are WAY more likely to win. Oxbridge definitely agrees. But I'm gonna go for Brutes because I'm contrary like that.
  13. @Duma do you think your company will stop adding any fragrance altogether to their cleaning products then? It does seem the most the sensible option. LIke you say there's always that risk of averse effects with fragrance, and when it's in a work setting better to err on the side of caution. Really good of them to listen and make changes though! I suffer from hay fever myself, right now CAN be a bad time for it for me but only if I'm near a field of rapeseed as it's in flower now, that stuff is EVIL. I used to hold my breath going past fields of it on the bus on the way to work xD But it hits me really hard! Way more than my regular hay fever which is through June into mid-July, that's actually a lot milder now. So really just the fields of yellow stink in April to worry about. This woman, clearly no sense of smell! A lot more like it xD
  14. @Duma mentioning hay fever reminded me of this that I saw on the BBC news page earler and rolled my eyes at a bit. I didn't actually check it out, just saw the headline. 4 denoting 4th most watched video right now. But... I mean, if you suffer from hay fever you know what it is, and aren't the symptoms nothing like covid? I'm so confused. *actually reads it* Hmm, it seems it's the other way around to what I imagined it was! There's me thinking it's trying to forestall people thinking they have covid because they're got itchy watery eyes and are sneezing, when... *sigh* yeah, I guess some of the "it's only the 'flu!" gang could very well dismiss covid symptoms as hay fever. -____-
  15. TNT definitely giving us a practical lesson in complimentary hair styles and face shapes with this new wig!
  16. You're welcome I'm just glad I'm not the only one that can sit and watch it for ages.
  17. The ray is fired at thenameisalice... ... and he gains 2 strength points!!!! Whoa... did it actually work? Sure looks like it. Your Petpet has been transformed. Imagine that. Shiny!
  18. Right, who needs what avatar this time around then?? More importantly, which is the most sensible option to go for considering the opposition...
  19. Current Scratchcard Jackpot : 756275 NP!!! The Kiosk Wocky says 'Wahey! You have won!!!' YOUR PRIZE : A rare artifact of Terror Mountain! Firstly yay, my habit of using the shape of my initial as a scratching template finally paid off, lol. But rare artifact huh?? This is gonna be a snowballl isn't it... *checks inventory* OH! An actual rare thing! A CC 4-pointer too. So thanks for the scratchcard, Snowy!
  20. I've remembered to use the Cartogrification perk again (just got 200 perk points left now) and for the first time ever got a decent result! In the chest you find: 10000 NP! NOW I just need to remember to visit the caverns again tomorrow and sneak another guided visit in before the 24 hours is up. Thank you to @Duma for telling us about this cheeky move! EDIT: PHEW! I remembered literally 5 minutes before the time was up to sneak in that second visit. A much more normal result though, lol. In the chest you find: 1543 NP!
  21. Ah! Today's clue is better, had me thinking they'd lost their minds and written one for pre-crash Faerieland. I'm going for the Charming one today with its two items that will rise in value, so let us see if it gives me a comb! OH, nearly forgot about the mechanical negg. Got a "willow" tree from it yesterday. It's on the background item layer which means I can't hang my boho lounger from it, but it's pretty nice. The flowers on it are very random - someone crossbred a willow with an hibiscus by the look of it xD - but its drapiness makes it useful if you want to conceal part of a background to make it more useable for a particular look. Today's item Love the colour, withholding judgement about how it's going to look (she says) but the way the front goes up like that... I'm not hopeful. Full disclosure here, I KNEW it wasn't going to look good on a Kacheek, but you can see the willow's pretty nice! Let's do a bit more modelling... Oh, hello! Sexy librarian vibe? I really like that! I especially like how there's no arguing with Cora's right ear! Can Gen pull it off too... Looks pretty good on her too, but Cora's totally rocking it. These two's skintones work really well with the blue which is awesome.
  22. -_____- The way things are going it seems almost inevitable that there'll be a second wave of infection everywhere, created solely by our own stupidity. I can see why this nonsense in the media is happening with the masks, I mean it's all very well for a government to make mask-wearing mandatory, but that doesn't suddenly make masks appear out of thin air, does it. So people having to make their own is the gonna be the only option in some cases. But it's sheer lunacy. It's that weird "it's better than nothing" mentality, isn't it. But it really isn't better than nothing, is it... The governments know the hospitals and other frontline workers don't have enough masks, so to turn around and say everyone has to wear them? Ok, cool... I saw this caption on Instagram yesterday and it really was an excellent analogy for so many foolish peoples' mindsets right now. Saying the curve is flattening so we should be be able to go out again now is like saying the parachute's slowed our rate of descent down so we can take it off now.
  23. I'm not sure we can be friends any more! Go for it, make them as masculine as you can! Boys can totally rock pink.
  24. @Hanso Wow that IS scary, but so good of the cop to help you rather than punish. I worry about masks becoming mandatory here for the same reasons.
  25. It's happening to all mine, on and off, sometimes it's two at once. Let's see if any are effected right now... Yup! Two out of six in hiding!
