Recently Jumpstart shared a new feature they have planned with TDN: Glitter pets!

Arriving soon at the NC Mall is the Glitter Paint Brush! This paint brush, when used, will add a layer of Glitter over your pet's existing paint job. For those who can't obtain NC, if you're lucky enough to be painting your pet at the same time as someone using a Glitter PB, you may end up with some Glitter on your pet as well! This layer of Glitter affects PB clothes as well as the pet itself, creating special Glitter clothes. Be very careful about which pet you decide to use it on, though, as if the pet changes color or species later, the Glitter will vanish!

To keep things fair, if a Glitter pet or clothes are pounded or transferred, the Glitter will go away, preventing people from trading NC effects for NP ones.

Jumpstart gifted us a few previews of what this special new PB will do, and they hope this paves the way to future NC-exclusive PB additions!




 




What do you think of this new method of pet customization?

If you have a computer that can handle it (meet specs), you can install BlueStacks App Player to play the game/app. BlueStacks is an Android emulator for the PC. It is free. If you do not already have one, you may have to create a Google account to "link" the App Player to Google Play. May want to check it out to see if it is something you may be interested in and if your PC can handle it. I remember reading about another Android emulator, but I cannot remember the name. I'll post if I can find it. Just a thought.
 
EDIT: The other is "Andy the Android Emulator". It is free, too. Again, your PC must meet certain requirements to use. Unfortunately, my PC is old and is unable to use either.

It's a Neopets game for mobile phones. It's hardly gonna replace KeyQuest since the aimed platform is completely different.

As far as I know, keyquest is coming back at some point.
But JN has an page about it. Not much is known yet.

Anyone correct me if i'm wrong but you should be able to train your strength and defence to double your level and your hp triple your level.
And then you have to train level up to half your hp and start again
 
And movement is useless except with certain equipment so you don't need to raise it.

No worries i have quite a few and they aren't worth much. Though i wish i could get some quests that cost that little!! :)

Usually when I tell people Friday the 13th is a lucky day for me, they shrug it off. They believe the superstitions that Friday the 13th is cursed. Bah. There's no real such thing as curses.
 
Anyway.
 
Today, I'm Charlie Sheen. I'm a winner.
 
My best (female human) friend is also my neighbor. She apparently entered my name into this random contest drawing at this fancy portrait studio without me knowing. The drawing was an event celebrating the photo studio's 20th anniversary in business. My friend came by and gave me my mail, and inside was a card with my name on it that said
 
"Congratulations, your name has been picked to win the GRAND prize."
 
So next Friday, I have to go to this hotel to a fancy photoshoot. My whole family can come with me. My grand prize is a giant 16 x 20 keepsake photograph worth 100 dollars US. I get one for free. :D
 
How lucky is that?
 
To make things even better, I log onto Facebook, and another close friend of mine has sent me a message.
 
She said she won 2 tickets to a blues concert in a nearby town from a radio station, but that she can't go and she wants to give them to me. ME. I'm sad she can't go, but out of all the people she knows, she chose me to receive the tickets!
 
And because one of my goals this year was to donate blood as many times as I can, I went into the local blood bank to donate. (I can potentially save 3 lives with each donation! You can too, just check out your local blood bank for more information.)
 
Walked out of there with a gift of two free movie theater tickets.
 
What? Usually I get a spiffy new t-shirt. But today, there were no more t-shirts, and I got the only pair of movie tickets they had at the time. What a surprise.
 
As I said, Friday the 13th is my lucky day. Look out Charlie Sheen. Today, I'm the winner.

Over the past few weeks, the Auction House was taken offline due to glitches. We can report that the house Auction House has returned and you can continue business as usual.
 

After 15+ hours of the site being down, TNT gave us a first glimpse as to what they accomplished - and it included an entire server migration.
 
While the transition is not complete, we should begin to see a bit of an improvement soon. To complete more minor fixes, Neopets will again be under more maintenance in the upcoming week. Stick with TDN as we announce any upcoming downtime.

My two cents on the matter: I don't like this event, and here's a few reasons why...
 
1. If people are going to donate, they should just donate. Prizes shouldn't really matter.
2. I view this event as an attempt to a) get rid of junk on the servers and b ) regulate inflation, and nothing else.
3. Granny should keep her day job. Her "tags" are robbing more people than the Thieves Guild.
4. Items that are usually worth 1 np are now selling upwards of 650k or more, and people who can milk it are milking it.
5. How many people feel left out because they a) aren't mass hoarders and b ) filthy rich? I've got 14 mil in the bank and I'm struggling!
 
And this whole "most generous Neopians" list boils my blood because something isn't right about it. It's extremely fishy. This event hasn't been out THAT long. According to the list, some people have donated well over 3,000 times.
 
a) what are the odds of you being that highest ranking generous Neopian? Seriously, how many players are on Neo each day?
b ) many of the same people have constantly been on the list. Really? Does that surprise you? Doesn't surprise me!
 
and my personal favorite
 
c) these "users" would have to literally have NO life whatsoever, and be online 24/7, constantly donating to have donated that much, considering the price hikes on items and the serious sitewide lag! I think this whole list thing is just a catalyst to make everybody try to one up each other.
 
Donating toys whether it be in real life or virtually, the concept is still the same, and it shouldn't be a competition.
 
All that being said, no, I'm not being a cynical grinch, but I am saying this, my eighth tag is coming up. Once I complete it, I'm out. The only reason I've done it this far is because Neopians have helped me, and I have helped them in return. The whole point is to help somebody and give back, which is what I've tried to do.
 
Considering it's now Christmas Eve where I am, all of my future donations are going to the money tree, where they belong.
