I just created a stealthy draik thanks to an FFQ and the Forgotten Shore but I have no idea what sort of background/foreground would work for her.

I'm thinking maybe Nox Castle Silhouette Background but it's a bit expensive and I'd like to see what y'all can come up with since I'm sure it'll be better.

Halloween is by far the best day of the year and I'm dressing up as a Starry Knight because I'm a sucker for puns and wordplay (and knights). I'm also known for taking Halloween far too seriously.

 

(Spoiler alert: I don't actually look like an Eyrie. Alas.)

 

As for plans, I live in New Orleans and it's the place to be on Halloween so I'm probably going to have a party with friends before going out and experiencing the madness of the city.

I collect books and it just sort of happened. The daily puzzle and some wheels give away books sometimes and there's a random event that does too, so that got me started. They're also pretty cheap and there's a whole lot of them.

Darigan. Darigan is the best Eyrie color hands down. But I'm also biased, so.

Have the names of the Eyrie Day clothes been announced/released yet? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

I'd probably have to go with haggis. It's not bad taste-wise but I'd say it definitely counts as a weird food. I've also had alligator and it really does taste like chicken, albeit a lot chewier.

You're so much better off using gel food colourings instead of liquid ones. They won't make your batter too wet, nor do they taste chemically, especially for something like black/red velvet where you'd need to add 2+ tablespoons. And like Wolfponies said, don't start with cakes. They're temperamental. Instead, try a simple sugar cookie recipe and go from there. I recommend snickerdoodles as they're my favourite cookie and only use 4/5 ingredients.

 

Another tip: make sure your ingredients are at room temperature before doing anything. Butter, milk, eggs, anything that's kept in the fridge. If you forget to take them out ahead of time (I know I do), butter and milk can be warmed up in the microwave while eggs should be placed in a glass of warm water.

 

And it doesn't hurt to ask your family what they like. Maybe you'll find your specialty that way. I discovered my specialty is cheesecakes when my brother asked for one for his birthday, so who knows.

 

But baking is so much fun PLUS you get to eat tasty homemade things, so I hope you stick with it!

Peppperito: I used to have a cat called Pepier which is French for 'chirp'. I called her Pepperito sometimes but that was already taken so I added an extra P.

Harteko: He used to be an Island Hissi and the Basque word for 'island' is 'uharteko', so.

Ahtru: I don't remember what language, but it's a derivation either 'mutant' or 'monster' in some language.

Syddol: 'Prehistoric' in Welsh is 'cynhanesyddol' so she got the Syddol and her petpet got the Cynhan.

My pet was recently a Notable Neopet and I'm trying to put a screencap in his description. I've hosted the image on Photobucket but every time I try to save the changes, neopets is telling me that I can't link to an image that isn't hosted on neopets. Any ideas on how to get around this?

During the week I usually only have time to do my dailies so maybe 5-10k but on weekends I can make up to 50k depending on how up to it I'm feeling. Key Quest is great for earning prizes/NP but it's time consuming.

I haven't really thought about this but I'm gonna say to have the most rare neopet (color and species) of them all. I'm not even sure what that is, but that's my goal.

I'm saving up for a Maraquan PB for my Eyrie. Those don't come cheap. But I'm getting there!

Right now I'm working on avatars. I'd like to break 200 but most of the ones I need are pet (my side account isn't old enough to transfer yet and I already have four pets) or game (which apparently I'm terrible at all of them), so it's going quite slowly.

I'd also like to get into NC trading but that requires gift boxes which requires cash cards which I can't seem to find at all anywhere, so that too is going quite slowly :/

It's completely random, I think. You could get some NC and buy a Faerie Quest Fortune Cookie from the NC Mall if they're in stock, then you'll get a quest every day for a week. Otherwise there's no trick as far as I know.

Not really crazy about any of the prizes besides the book as I collect them. But that Meridell shield does look great on my Hissi knight, so I can't complain too much.

Have any of you ever gotten something good from the Coincidence? Because I've done it every day for the last three weeks and gotten nothing useful. They've all been "A blue shoyru swoops down" or "Is that Corbin and Kell outside?" or other useless ones. I haven't even gotten a negative stat change (not that I'm complaining about that one.) Should I continue doing the daily or am I wasting my time?
