The labray recently zapped one of my permies in a species-colour combo I liked, so after customising them and sending them to the side to take a deserved rest ( :D) I started adopting pets from the pound and zapping in the hopes of finding them a new home. The labray has been very good to me since I started doing this (two days, I have a lab cookie) and I have managed to adopt and re-home three pets already. Just wanted to share my joy, since the people that adopted them were soooo excited to have them and so grateful, it makes my day to do this.

I suggest you search for "Mute a single application on mac" on the internet. The first result seems to know what they are talking about, hope it helps :)

Basically what Ali Cat said, plus, whenever someone decides to tell you that you should believe in god, you could thank them for their concern for your well-being and their advice. That way you are not insulting them and you are not compromising your own beliefs, whatever they might be :)

Just to make one thing clear, if it says she is married to somebody, it might be they are just best best friends. I have a friend that listed me and a couple of her other female friends as being married to her, regardless that most of us were in another relationship with guys and she is heterosexual :D
 
Also, my advice would be (mostly because I am very direct in real life) is to approach her with 'hey, long time no see, how have things been'. Better than torturing yourself with all these questions :)

Have I mentioned how positively excited I am?! The Sway are still the definite choice for me but the introduction of The Brutes have definitely got me pumped!
 
*clears throat* Ahem, that is to say, my curiosity has definitely been piqued. We shall see how this battle plays out. Surely The Sway shall come out victorious but perhaps one of the other groups shall provide a bit of a challenge.

She is using AdBlock, not to mention she is Premium, so there are no ads. The Vending Machine one is not an ad, it's a comic. I am also using AdBlock, however, and don't have that issue...

A very wise decision! Windows 7 is actually pretty good and even my linux-savvi boyfriend admits they have gotten it right this time (though not without pointing our linux had it right ages ago :D). There is no room for comparison between Vista and 7 since only 7 actually works :D

I love it! It is amazing when you close your eyes and start visualising the music, like, Vivaldi's Four Seasons are actually an amazing interpretation of the seasons, should one care to try. I do play the piano and have done so from an early age, so I was exposed to classical music, its beauty and its challenges. I also love modern classical musicians, like the Bond quartet.

I can't say I hate any type of movies, I wouldn't sit and watch horror movies on my own accord, though :D Or romantic comedies, those are just identical, if you've watched one, you've watched them all. Same with most action movies, utterly boring. Unless they are based on comics, that's another story :D

I just asked my boyfriend what my guilty pleasures are since I couldn't come up with any, and he was like 'BigFish Games' - 'But I don't feel guilty about that!' 'Ah, well then, none, if we're gonna wait for you to feel guilty....' So I suppose none, I really don't care what others think, so no guilt. I am in my last year of a Psychology degree in the UK. I can't wait to have that over and done with and then move to a bigger city with my boyfriend where ideally I would work for the Open Knowledge foundation or a charity. I cook A LOT, maintain a food blog and know a little too much about food from all over the world. In fact, I have invested more effort and time into food than my degree. Still graduating with honours though :D
Other than that I play the piano, enjoy crafts from time to time and am way too invested in my music collection.

I can easily see that a suggestion for a paintbrush based off something that is religiously important to a lot of people as being kind of offensive to them. Christmas in many parts of the world has almost nothing to do with Christianity anymore, and Christmas on Neopets is more like a celebration of Yule, or of the Winter Solstice. Halloween, as snwflk says, is absolutely NOTHING like Day of the Dead. All of the 'holidays' on Neopets are without religious meaning- Easter gets turned into a Negg festival (if I'm remembering dates right)- no crucifixes or resurrections mentioned.
 
Neopets staff members take holidays on American holidays because, surprise, they're stationed in the US. If they work on stat holidays, they have to pay their employees more (time and a half, for most companies). So they keep enough people working to deal with moderation issues, and the rest get the day off.
 
And by your saying, "Not to mention, how does Neopets not know I am not from india or of indian descent or Hindu, and by punishing me for suggesting something I believe in and is part of my life, I mean how disrepectful do you think I am feeling than!", it's obvious you're not Hindu. I would love to see an someone that does practice Hinduism, and see how they weigh in on this. Somehow, I don't think they'd be on your side. In my experience, people generally don't want anything they hold sacred to be made light of in a game.

I see that you are quite an old neopian, so the FOOD CLUB should be a great way for you to make some quick cash (average 40k a day?), the problem is it is a little difficult to learn. However there are many guides detailing the process, and you can also choose to follow another user's bets if you are just starting off/only in for the quick NP and not the fun.

Edit/Note: Food club is a game where you BET large sums of neopoints, which means you will LOSE on some days. But if it is done right you will win in the long run (I keep track of my monthly profits, and they have never been negative... BTW - they usually average around 1mil a month, which is not bad for 10mins of thinking per day on days when I remember to play). Very important: you should only play if you have money to spare (which you do, so it's all good).
 
As an old neopian you can also take advantage of the Almost Abandoned Attic! If you have quick reflexes and a good knowledge of current market prices you'll be able to make a real killing! But from my experience, items worth 20-50k profit can be still bought a full ten seconds after the restock so you can (probably) even make a small profit by searching things up on shop wiz REALLY quick before buying (though after a while you will just kinda know which items are profitable)

As Finn mentioned, restocking is a great way to earn money quickly but again you will need to be quick. Also, while the time left for an auction cannot go lower than <30min, the auctions are ordered in such a way that the ones which will expire earlier are near the front (on the main auction pages, not on auction genie search), so if you loitter on the first few pages you will know when an auction is about to end. Ex: the top 3 auctions generally will generally end within 10 seconds, and as some auctions end the other auctions scroll up the screen. But, please be aware that many other neopians are also competing against you for those quick profits! So chances are you will miss many auctions.

You can chose to restock in a shop too if you prefer, it also takes some practice + fast reflexes/internet though.

I suggest you start at slower shops like pharmacy/books first. If you are up for it you can try spooky foods too (you only need to memorize a couple of item names because there aren't that many good items, but they disappear quickly!)
 
If you're computer is slow but you still want to restock you can try trading post reselling. This basically consists of going on the trades board (on neopets) and buying items that restockers just got for cheaper than market prices (restockers are willing to sell low because they got the item from the main shops for much lower prices). However I do not suggest this method if you are not willing to put a lot of work into research because it takes some time to figure out which items will sell, how quickly they sell, and how much they sell for. If you don't buy items at appropriate prices you may end up having to sell for lower than you paid for. And if you buy a hard-to-sell (HTS) item it might sit in your trades for months (or even years). If you really want to try this you should start by only buying easy-to-sell items like paint brushes and morphing potions (stick to cheap/basic colours if possible).
Edit/Note: Send me a PM if you plan on trying this method, and/or get a second person's opinion+tips since I'm not too too experienced with this.
Edit/Note2: You should begin by only buying cheap-ish items (definitely under 1mil, maybe under 500k/750k) this way even if you mess up your losses are minimal.

I just sent you a message, hope you don't mind. All I can say is that I can relate perfectly to how you are feeling. I don't know your entire situation but based on what you've provided it does sound like you have some co-dependency issues. This is very common in people with anxiety disorders/depression. I deal with this issue as well, although it's geared toward my boyfriend. Once you are able to properly manage your anxiety and depression, those feelings will go away. I'm not all the way "healed" but I am getting better day by day.
 
Also, about the drug addiction thing.. I've been down that road before too. It's all to easy to fall prey to addiction when you are dealing with mental disorders. They provide an easy short-term outlet of happiness and content. It's (as I'm sure you already know) a superficial outlet and not a long-term solution though. I hope you are able to find a good therapist with whom you can tackle these issues with. I've been seeing my new therapist once a week for three weeks now (this is the first time I've done ANYTHING about my issues in the last 5 years). I have the tendency to isolate and mope around and refuse help. The day I took that first step to getting better though, I knew from the very start that there was a glimmer of hope. Each week I'm feeling better and better, looking more hopeful, and having less and less panic attacks, fits of anger, etc. It takes time and dedication on your part. You have to want to get better, you have to listen to your therapist and do your homework. In the end, it is very worth it. Please honey, do get help. Don't just keep letting your issues overwhelm you.

Ohh, surveys! As a psychology student I have come to realise how hard it is to gather participants and now I make sure I always complete studies. Also, I never walk with my headphones in my ears around campus. Painful experience has taught me that that makes people look unapproachable.
