I know this is going to be kind of a controversial opinion, but I'm actually glad that Habi's going. I feel like it's had a negative effect on the Neopian economy, because with it, it's too easy to make NP and therefore too easy to accomplish goals. I think the lack of challenge has contributed to the site's downfall. If TNT's going to inject some challenge into this site, they need to make it harder to earn NP, and getting rid of Habi is a good start.
 
Besides, people were leaving the game on 24/7, which is not how the game is meant to be played and must have really hurt the servers.

MonkeyQuest belongs to Nickelodeon, so it won't be part of the site anymore. But people that had accounts still get to keep him.
 
Petpet Park will likely be the same as it has been.
 
And they're not going to make UC pets available. With all the drama they cause nowadays, I almost wish they converted all of them. Then people would have gotten over them quicker.

They're not going to end the NC Mall, it's the primary source of income for the site.

I think I read in an Editorial that TNT said they don't pay attention to those. It shouldn't make a difference.

There's too many goals on the site, it'll be shut down before I accomplish them all. I don't even want to think about this question.

I'm agnostic, and I'm not going to lie, I know very little about religion. Never studied it or read any religious texts or anything.
 
The way I see it, religion is like most things in the world. It's only bad if taken to extremes, and that plus the media is why religion has such a bad rep nowadays. Because the sad truth is, bad news and dirt sell, and no one cares about good news. From there, it's all a case of what I call "The Rule of the Loud Minority." Because it's all the nutjobs making the news and not the people who do good things, it causes people to think ALL religious people are nutjobs like that, when, like in most groups, they're a tiny minority. Most people who practice religion are normal, as far as I could tell from the community. I'm fine with religious people, as long as they're not trying to convert me or they're not extremists.
 
That said, I do think the media factors into the perception of religion, since 99% of the mainstream news out there is negative anyway, and nobody gets to read about the good things religion does. For all we know, there could be more good things being done than bad that aren't reported because, like I said, good news doesn't sell. *shrug* So I guess I'm kind of neutral about the whole situation.
 
Of course, that's probably a very simplistic view, but like I said, religion is a topic I tend to shy away from and don't know much about. And I know everyone's going to disagree with me, because the Internet is a largely liberal, atheistic realm.

Not really. This is TNT's M.O. Non-Altador Cup prize shops always take a long time.
 
It doesn't really matter, though. People are going to be disappointed with the prizes no matter what TNT does, even if they throw in a weapon on the level of the DSoD. They just can't win with the Prize Shop. They release it immediately, then people complain about glitches, junky prizes, and pre-determined prizes = not listening to user suggestions. They take their time with it, people complain about it taking too long.
 
That's how it's always been, and unless they hire more people people, that's how it's always going to be.

I don't know. It might just be me, but it seems like over the past few months, people have been getting more and more nasty toward TNT. They hate all the new site content and act like TNT doesn't care about anything but money and is incapable of producing quality content. The boards are all doom and gloom, and nobody has anything positive to say about the site.
 
But I don't know. I just don't feel the same frustration that everyone else does. I understand there hasn't been any amazing content lately, but really. Why does everything have to be big and epic to be fun anyway? It shouldn't have to be that way. I also understand the need for constructive criticism, but most of what I see isn't constructive criticism. It's whining and emotional abuse. I almost feel sorry for TNT sometimes.

People love the attention they get when they complain, whether is on the Internet or in real life. Very few people take time to think about all the resources needed to run a popular website. When you give it a try on a smaller scale, whether it's a guild, a blog, a short animation film... you appreciate a lot more the work of other people.
 
The year I learned how to model and animate in Autodesk Maya, I was a lot more sensitive about the amount of work that was required to do a 10 seconds sequence in a Pixar movie. It's a bit of the same thing with Neopets. I have my own experiences with web design and community management, but also as game designer and with scripting/programming. Sometimes, things look EPIC in your head, and they turn out to be pretty boring or bad. So what I have learned from that is to never have high expectations for TNT. That way, I'm not too much disappointed with what they do.
 
In general, people should tune down with their complains... but they won't because they are drama queen and love the attention they get for ranting and flaming.
