I've been zapping in the hopes of getting a Cybunny. Instead I got a Vandy, then a Darigan Vandy (no clothes) and then a Desert Vandy (pretty clothes!). So I've promptly transferred across to my main to steal said clothes, morphing the pet so they won't transfer back. My only question is do I use the headdress or not...? I'm thinking not, as it looks... very cluttered, I think... Not sure of the pink caplet either... Headdress and caplet (this definitely doesn't work). So... ummm... yep, welcome the new baby to the herd! Chikaera kind of reminds me of the Pokemon Chikorita and yeah, the Poogle ain't green... but there is a slight similarity I guess! Also reminds me of when I did parent/teacher conferences with my brother - he was always in trouble. Always. And I just knew that he was sat there singing/chanting 'Go to hell, Shakera' in his head as I tried to persuade school/college that he deserved a second bleeding chance... or a third... or a fifth. It really didn't help that he started growing out facial hair and I still looked like a minor child, despite being older than him!!

I'll have to post once I get him back to my side and can customise him properly! Yeah, 8 mil is a pretty penny to be saving! If I'm lucky enough to get another one I'll do the Acara! Oof, I dread to think what MP mistake that was. I've had a few in the past! I did just find a Baby Poogle MP in my SDB though and now have another baby added to my growing family. Chikaera kind of reminds me of Chikorita and the Baby Poogle isn't too far off as far as neopets/Pokemon crosses go! It also reminds me of when my brother was in trouble at school and I had to go to parent/teacher conferences knowing he was thinking 'Go to hell, Shakera' on loop in his head... Congrats on the Steampunk Grundo! It's a nifty colour!

... I can't say I'm not incredibly pleased with this! That gives me an excellent opportunity to actually do something with my mutant side: NP wise, the Acara would have been a better bet. But the Lutari MP is still 8 mil odd and I'm not sure how long TNT will graciously allow us to transfer Lutari's back and forth. It may be forever, but the pet slots have been out quite a while, so it may be coming to an end!

You know... I didn't even consider the Lutari... although I already have a Mara Lutari which is clearly based on the axelotl and I'm not keen on any of the other colours barring mutant.

Sold most of my CYBU stock at 62. Bought BB at 15 as I only had 4000 of those. Wishing I'd held only my TNPT as that is now well over 100! But hey ho, I was at over 3.5mil in shares. Down to just below that now as I had quite a lot of CYBU.

I think the reason people don't want caps for high end items is that it is so much more difficult to get them back. I can get caps whenever I want (and even before I could stock up at the end of the month. There's no supply and demand issue. Whereas with higher end items, you tend to need to have something someone really wants in order to trade back for them. People will let 2-3 items go for caps, but after that it's item for item. Maybe two 4-5 items for a 10 item at most. The only real exception to this is when big ticket items come out in the Mall - MME's etc. I picked up a lot of my high end wishlist for 1-2 MME's last time the came out!! I went crazy for the caps originally and regretted all bar the baby one. I still ended up with a lot of items that I didn't want, but baby items trade really, really well so it didn't matter too much. I can't grouch too much as it does mean I have a decent trading list, but way too much money was spent. And that was when I could get 2000NC for $7. Now they've closed that loophole, it's just way, way too expensive. I don't mind biting on the grams providing I like the regular items and I'm not just trying for the bonus item. Got bitten there as well! I probably ought to check the Baby Spring Paint out on more pets then... I can't remember which one I tried it on but it wasn't an appealing look! I've still got it. It's my 'dynamite option', I guess for if there's ever an item I really, really want that is too expensive for me to get any other way! And yep, Trudy's, FC, stocks and Jetsam Ace. Trudy's is quick, FC requires and aged account and is quick, stocks are only profitable in the longer term and quick, Jetsam Ace requires you to spend real money and is quick. Re-stocking takes time and is boring! So essentially, there's enough content on the site for ... about an hour a day unless an event is going on. Re-stocking is more time consuming, but it's only profitable if you have the np to burn and the time to burn. And I don't make a huge amount - I tend to haunt the book store, so I make between 300np-2000np an item usually which is slow going. I've never managed to get an 'awesome' re-stock!

It is, isn't it! Oh, I spent way too much time - and real money - doing NC hunting and trading. I could probably get by using the random myriad of items I now have on my main in honesty... but I find more items and then want them. I baulk at the 20+ value items though. Yeah, nope. I will find something cheaper!! I try and stick to 1-2 items now... save the higher items for REALLY wanted customs. People aren't too fussy about 1-2; they'll take GBC, easy trades or custom. They start getting fussy at 3-4 and it gets worse the higher you get. It's best to wait for a really expensive new item - the MME's did me well at 700NC - people who want them but don't want to buy more NC will start to trade their higher end items. Me on the other hand? I'm a hoarder and I will buy NC if I really want something. So I went from virtually no NC items in 2020 to a full trading list and a fair few 'high end' items. But I consider high end to be 7-10+. I think my 'best' item is the Baby Spring Paint which was 20-25 last I checked. God knows why, it's hideous. I got lucky and pulled that out of a cap... I've now largely stopped playing the cap game though... the chance of random crud is higher than anything that I'd actually want or use. And yeah, as an 11-13 year old with limited internet time, neopets is now not exactly easy access. You need to be refreshing frequently to restock... which eats up your 120 minutes across all devices and isn't really fun. She never really had a chance to really attach to her pets as she joined... about three-six months before the death of Flash. Events tend to require more time than her access allows - she could have maxed YYB in the time, but would have had to forgo almost everything else. So whereas she enjoyed playing the Flash games, banking the NP and I'd gift her stuff... now it's very, very limited and not fun. In reality, as an adult now I tend to do Food Club, dailies and restock when I feel like it. I can't see 13, 15, 17, 21 or even 34 year old me being interested in the site as a newbie. I'm here because I love my pets... but it's not really fun anymore.

The Pound Board just scares me... even more than my new lil murder pet does. And that comes with the threat of death and face stealing, so what does that say about the Pound Chat!? As I recall, I accidentally fed it a ... morphing potion? Maybe a book? I think? I'm going back like 17-18 years and my memory is fuzzy. I didn't realise they could just straight up nom on your items if they were hungry though! I read that and went naaaah.... *thinks* ... *googles* ... holy hell, they can eat your bleeding items! I was just young, foolish and didn't realise Skeith's could eat items that weren't meant for eating! Oh, Techo's should have been on my list. The Woodland is the only redeeming colour! I quite like the JubJub... I had a clay one - now my Mara Kiko - that was really cute, but the name leant itself to a Mara pet. Ottaas would have been better as an otter, but the closest we have is the Lupe as a seal and I went with cute over namesake!

I've got time to consider options. I want to at least make headway with my Mutant side before I start doing anything completely new! I do love me a good crosspaint. Currently got a Royal Werelupe, a Zombie/Oilpaint Ixi (I honestly just wanted the waistcoat!) and a Hallo/Transparent Hissi. Definitely want a Hallo/Woodland Bori. Then the gross but cool Ruki that's on my radar. A Koi using the Island bangles was something I was toying with at one point. I don't replicate species across my main. But I have have grown lax across my sides. I have two Kiko's - LD and Mara - and both are permies. I have two Ruki's - although, originally I created the second one as a 'twin' to my one to gift to my foster sister. She doesn't really use the site now though. Can't blame her for losing interest when the Flash games died. It was her main entertainment and way of gaining neopoints! My baby and mutant sides are immune to any rules, although I won't duplicate a single pet because... why would you!? I'd like to say I have the same rule for petpets... but I have a fondness for the Rock. I now have a Woodland and Halloween Rock. I like the Desert, Mara, Christmas, Tyrannian and Valentine Rock. The Christmas Rock is definitely getting used on one of my baby pets. Maybe the soon to be death bunny. It makes sense she'd get coal for Christmas!

As it's a side and I'm not very active on the boards, I suspect I'll be able to keep her under the radar. Whereas if I message TNT I'm almost guaranteed to be ensuring her immediate and irreversible poofing. It tends to be because someone has reported the pet - particularly if it's already aged and thus passed the initial filters somehow. So it would be risky to keep her on my main where I do potter around the NC trading boards. The pet trading boards are absolutely renowned for it and I steer clear of those by a very wide margin! The new pet slots was a BIIIIIG thing early this year (Jan, I think). Non-Premium members now start with 6 slots. Premium members start with 10. You can buy pet slots in either +1, +5 or +10 in the NC Mall. They're more expensive than I'd have thought though. I was hoping for 250NC a slot. It's closer to 500NC. In fact it is 500NC if you only buy one. +5 is 2250NC and +10 is 4250, so it gets cheaper the more you buy. They did a release sale in January that made the slots cheaper. So if you're not desperate, it may be worth waiting til January to see if they do an anniversary sale. That's what I'm planning on doing with my side providing I don't run out of space first! The +10 was 3400NC in the sale, so 340NC a slot instead of 425... Oh, I find the Chia's uniformly ugly as sin!! A couple of the veggie/fruit ones are ok... but the only one I actively like is the Pea Chia. He's a cute lil guy! In fairness, I like most pets. Some pets are just more... meh... than others. The exceptions are Chias, Quiggles, Moehogs and Gnorbus. Those ones are absolute no gos. And Skeiths. Also because I had one eat an expensive item and I can hold a grudge for nearly two decades, oh yes I can. I'm not a huge fan of the Chomby, Buzz, Elephante, Grarrl, Jetsam, Kacheek, Kau, Korbat, Tonu, Tuskaninny, Usul, or Wocky... but they have colours I actually quite like so I can see me owning one in very specific colours. (I do own a Camo Kacheek - they be cute. And UsukiGirl is on my radar.) And hah, yep, I saw those photos and instantly thought 'murder board'! And yep, if I message TNT, I'm almost 99.9% guaranteeing the poofing of my new pet. And I like my new pet. I have to otherwise it will kill me in my sleep and wear my face as a mask. And I like my face. It's the only one I have. On the plus side, I don't use my side to go on forums. I do all NC trading off my main and just occasionally get things sent to my sides from those trades.

It's aways strange how some peoples absolute dream pets do absolutely nothing for others, isn't it? And in fairness how a single colour can change an opinion of a species. I find Chomby's boring, Techo's ugly and Kau's meh. But the Tyrannian Chomby is cool - although the original was better before they tweaked it to fit Neopian canon, and the Woodland Kau is adorable and Woodland Techo really cool. Just seen the Woodland Korbat and that's cute as well!

And I also just found Tremousie. That may have to be a Woodland Korbat... at this rate, I'll have no pet slots left even after having bought the max! I'm not so keen on the Ixi, but the Vandy is cute. That's definitely gone on my list! Yeah, lovelymassaacre just spoke to me at a spirit level! Who knows and I suspect we don't want to stick around to find out! Oooh, I hadn't thought about the Killer Bunny references. Ooooh, that is an interesting titbit about Treeshar. My options are definitely open!

Originally I had a 'rule' that I wouldn't have the same pet or colour repeated. That was when I only had one account. I quickly chucked this rule out when I got sides and now it's not even present on my main! Two Mara's, three Halloween - plus one with Halloween clothing! Ooh, the historical side sounds interesting. The Tyrannian Chomby could definitely go on there. I have a Lost Desert Bruce who has an ancient Egyptian feel. My side Ruki could be a Halloween/Royal cross that I was eyeing up a while back - looks really creepy as the Royal clothing looks like flesh. That's definitely one to keep in mind! And I like the idea of it being an opposite to the Baby side! I suppose a cross-paint theme could also be cool! I don't think I'd have the patience for a robot side though. I enjoyed pottering with the lab ray, but zapping for specific colours is a pain in the bottom! I was going for a Garlic Kiko. Ended up falling in love with the Lost Desert Kiko on route!

I wouldn't create more than the allowed number of sides. That leads to banning. You are allowed four sides though for a maximum of five accounts. And you can buy pet slots in the NC Mall to a max of 20 on a Premium account and 16 on a non Premium account. I'm at 15 on my main, 4 on my first side, 6 on my baby side, 5 on my mutant side and 2 randoms on my final side. Name culling - TNT have a nasty habit of deleting pets with 'non-allowed' names. Some pets are grandfathered and permitted to stay, others you just have to hope they stay under the radar. But kill for example isn't allowed, so I'm a tad wary of massacre! I'll hold it for a month or two before morphing and go with Bori as that will only set me back 80k to morph, and 600k for the PB if it does go poof. Better than a couple of million for the Cybunny morphing potion and then the PB! Essentially, violence, swearing, vulgarity, and any references to politics/current events (and random words that don't go through the filter like cucumber because of the second syllable...). So my pet Coronaville was deleted in 2020 - my fault, it was a new pet and I was trying to be funny as I came back due to lockdown. But SneezlesForNeezles was fine as it's Neopian illnesses. References to Trump have definitely been deleted. There was a big thing a while back about a pet that had the name 'Chombussy' which the second bit is apparently queer slang for a males anatomical area that is equivalent to the female anatomical area slang that rhymes with bussy. So meandering around the Pound, I found three cute names and instantly picked them up. Now I just need to figure out what to do with them... Treeshar - Seems like a perfect name for a Woodland pet. I like the Bori, but wanted to do a Hallo/Woodland cross and I'm not sure the name works for that. Possibly Kau or Techo? Never thought I'd get either of those species, but I have to admit, they are pretty in Woodland! Sunsands (nearly 18 years old as well, not quite my oldest pet - that goes to HarmBoer at 19 years but pretty cool!) - Pretty name, but lost on what it suits. Would it work for a UsukiGirl? I can see it being like a stage name! Other possibilities would be Fire (FaithfulDarkness was once a Fire Uni in homage to my make believe game with an old childhood friend. The Fire Hissi is quite cool as well). Desert could be a homage to the sands part of the name... but I already have a Desert Bruce and Kiko. Lovelymassacre - Picked up solely because it made me giggle. Immediately gone to my baby side as that sums up the toddler race in a nutshell. He's almost 13 years old, so I'm hoping immune to name culling. Baby Bori and Cybunny are already on my list, Bori would be the obvious option as Cybunny MP's are expensive as heck!

I have the full five accounts, although a lot of pets were moved to my main with the release of the new pet slots. Selfbetrayal: Main Keshena: Original side - now got four permies in there Sneezlesforneezles: Baby side Motherofeeyores: Mutant side Secre22: Additional side that was created because I initially ran out of space! That's where the two random pets are sitting! Maybe I could think of a theme for Secre22... that's worth considering. That requires imagination though. Mutant and baby were kind of obvious if a pain in the backside due to the NC wearables. Book genres would fit with my interests; fantasy could be Faerie, Sci-fi Robot or Alien Aisha... oh the joys of the lab map!, Historical Royal Ruki, Mystery a JubJub dressed as a detective... worth considering if I don't find anything else to do with that side! Oh, don't get me wrong. I find the mutant Vandy perfectly hideous. It's laughably bad. The colour scheme is insane, the style doesn't fit any of the known neopets designs. It's like a deranged court jester with tentacles. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that one of the staff's kids drew it in honesty. But the absolute ridiculousness of it kinda makes me want one just for the lols and giggles!! But yes, an Owlbear would have been a far better use of the colour!

Yep, it was definitely me. It looked perfectly fine when I typed the name in on the create a pet page as the l and capital i looked identical. But after creation, the capital I had the top and bottom lines which made it obnoxiously obvious what I'd tried to do. So that was a pound and try again moment! I do like me some pets. I have space on my main side now; there's four pets there currently and I don't think I bought pet slots, but that's always an option. I also have a secondary side which has two pets I'm not sure what to do with - a twin Ruki which may end up on my main and a Lutari, but probably will end up being morphed. Maybe that one would make the cute Bori cross... Then my baby side which has six pets, but I bought at least one pet slot for it. I have a baby Nimmo, Pteri, Xweetok, Lupe, Lutari and Yurble. Baby Cybunny and Bori are on my list, depending on space! I have most of the pets ready to go on the mutant side - I definitely want a Ixi, Peophin, Pteri and Lutari. I have the Mutant Jetsam sorted. I really like the Poogle and Acara as they are stunning designs but I'll have to buy at least one pet slot on the side for that and haven't yet. As I still need to paint all bar one of the others, it doesn't seem pressing and I'm kind of hoping for another sale on them before I bite. Although looking at the NC Mall now, I can't for the life of me find the +5 and +10 pet slot sets! If I figure out where the multiple pet slot things are, I'd also be interested in the Mutant Uni and despite being utterly hideous, probably a Vandy just because they are so absolutely ridiculous!! Lutari's becoming tradable was done so people could move them around with the pet slot additions. I haven't heard anything solid to say they will go back to non-trade, but it seems a reasonable conclusion, I think. But take it with a pinch of salt, as it's complete guesswork on my behalf. EDIT: I'm a moron. I can't see pet slots because I was looking on my main. Where I already have the full pet slots bought. So TNT is stopping me from buying ones I can't use. Having logged in on my side, I can see the pet slots!

@berriganify Nice! Good luck painting all your pets! I created Voldermorts (who yep, was originally VoIdemorts with a capital I but the way it shows up on the screen caused me serious distress!), GrandadEeyore and Fuzzbabies with the advent of new pet slots. After moving pets across from sides, I'm up to 15 on my main now. Five spaces to go, although one of them needs to be a lab rat as I don't have the avatars for that on my main yet! I have vague plans for a Usukigirl, a Hallo/Woodland Bori cross and another Mara pet, although I'm not sure which pet yet... But I really ought to focus on my mutant side. I have loads of wearables for it and only one mutant! I'm kind of hoping for a FFQ in my current training spurt of cookies, so I can get either the Poogle, Acara or Lutari. Probably Lutari as at some point they'll stop them being able to be transferred again!

@Aquamentis12 Thanks for the NQI link! I want to do an iNsAnE run at some point for the gold trophy... I have half cheated and looked up the best skills to invest in. Why make life more difficult!? Ah, no. It was the year of the broken prizes - the bags that were meant to give out rare items being broken - and the Hegie. I do love my little Hegie! yeah, if there were more US-only games I was interested in, it would be worth the punt. But it's not. If they ported it to the PS4 I could use my brothers account - as he has a US account and we share accounts on the consoles. That way we both get the streaming services and we take turns paying for it! Roms are a dodgy area, but the general legality of it seems to be that providing you have bought and owned the game at some point, they are not illegal. So I have all the Pokemon ROM's for GBC/GBA along with some rom-hacks and that's perfectly fine as I bought all of those (or my parents did!). But if I went and downloaded the older Zelda games for instance, that would be illegal as I never actually owned them. Or at least I don't think I did. I'm currently playing Pokemon Reborn which is a fan game and known as the one of the hardest Pokemon games ever. Ooh, I hadn't come across that website! I'll have to have a gander!

@Aquamentis12 Well, this motivated me into a brief spurt of NQII. I now have the archer. It will probably take me another two years to get the final character now! I did find some of the maps and some older NT issues going through the level up stats as it's been that long since I played, I have no idea what I was aiming for! I guess it's just whether it's worthh putting in that much effort when you're not even sure they would take you up on it! I got... slightly... obsessed by CC. I was woefully unprepared in 2020 as I'd never come across the event before - the whole long hiatus thing - and spent a small fortune buying 6 point items at the last minute. I'm not going to have that problem again! I do have an old PS1 and likely my game discs somewhere in the house. It's just finding the place to put it. The PS4 is downstairs and the computer is upstairs. Emulating it is possible but emulating Playstation games seems more involved than emulating Nintendo handheld games - I have quite a few of them on this computer! It's just annoying because they have actually ported it. I just can't access it without buying another PS Vita (at £80 plus) and setting it to US. And then buying the port. The port is like $5. So $85 plus for a $5 game! Dragon Quest was another one of my old favourites, although I was a little older when I found it the first time. I'm not usually a fan of Virtual Novels in honesty. I liked Danganronpa because it's dark and clever. But they usually bore me!

I had nowhere near as much luck today... two codestones, two Neocola and that's my lot.
