Today I am very exhausted and very very happy to, I climbed Mt Kosciusko with a few friends on the weekend. It is Australia's highest mountain and one of the 7 summits (the highest mountain of each continent). Climbing mt kosciusko has been a major goal for me for a long time and I'm so happy I made it. It is a big step in my young and rather unsuccessful mountaineering career XD

Yep, I got two more of my dream pets. Yesterday, actually, just hadn't got round to posting them.

Wow. I wasn't even planning on spending any time on neopets today aside from finishing Daily Dare, but am I ever glad I decided to at least do dailies. I found some neopoints on the floor in a RE, won prizes on almost every single daily, including a Pirate Krawk Morphing Potion from the Forgotten Shore (OMG!). I never win awesome anything so this is a real treat. :D
 
I'm not sure whether or not to sell it or hoard it for a while; if the shore keeps giving them out I'm assuming they'll only deflate more???
 
 
I also got a beautiful robot kougra thanks to lovedwallflower. My first robot pet, awesome! ^_^

Once again, I'm here on Roo Island, where the bugs are finally beginning to recede, thanks to a helpful 'Roo or two. The count is down to around fifty thousand; while still a bit uncomfortable, it's a far cry from the millions that were swarming earlier this week. It looks like the sales of various forms of bug repellent will be declining to normal levels in the coming weeks. However, one certainly wonders; are the bugs really gone for good?
 
This reporter CERTAINLY hopes so. *shudder*
 
Anyway... our final challenge is Faerie Bubbles! That's right, across every corner of Neopia one can hear the popping of bubbles and smell the aroma of panic as the games draw to a close. (Yes, yes, I know Neopia doesn't have corners. And I know you can't smell panic. It's called figurative language, okay?)
 
Don't forget, folks, not only do you have one day to beat AAA (with 976 points) or Abi (with 304), this is the last day to beat ALL of the challenges! So if there's any games you procrastinated on, now is your LAST CHANCE to catch up! Don't be caught without that (hopefully) stylish gold trophy gracing your lookup this year.

Basically, it is useless if you're after a specific species/colour combination that's not lab-only. But if you have a lot of dream pets, then it can be worth it. Picking up WN pound pets and zapping them has gotten me some pretty decent zaps, including maraquan.
 
It depends on how patient you are. If you get something good that's not what you want, trade it. It can be very useful in that sense, and, as someone said, you might end up with a streak of desert zaps, or you might get nothing but stat changes for months. It's all random.

I think (and hope) it might be kass basher.

Not coming from the US myself I'd be interested in what people's reactions have been to the shooting of Trayvon Martin on 28th February and the fact that his killer a 26 year old white man has not been put on charges because of Florida's stand your ground law. It seems he was shot merely for the crime of being black and yet the police are unable to do anything about it.
 
To me this highlights America's desperate need for both stricter gun laws and stricter rules on how these can be carried. The fact that a white man can shoot an unarmed black boy in 'self defence' even though he had nothing more on him than a bag of skittles is ridiculous but the fact that he hasn't been pulled up on charges is horrifying.

I have a separate wireless keyboard at home, so I'm going to use THAT. I taped the letters around the ones used in the game to avoid pressing them. Since it's already tricky to play it right without a number pad.
 

Are you honestly trying to say that two consenting people of the same sex who are trying to marry, is the same thing as one person forcing them self on a defenseless, non-consenting animal into sexual relations or marriage? And you're okay with that? :weird:

They are so painfully not the same thing, I'm getting second hand embarrassment that someone would even suggest that they go hand and hand.
 
Anyway, the topic is about two consenting adults of the same sex being allowed to marry. I've still yet to see a reason from you as to why you are against it other than you think "ew, gross," and I'm starting to think we won't actually get a valid point from you - just other radical subject changes and comparisons so you won't actually have to come up with something worth debating about.

I think it's good to have a lot of goals. That way, if you start to get a little bored or frustrated with one, you can work on another. Not to mention, it feels pretty awesome to accomplish one, so the more you have, the more exciting it is to accomplish them :D

I'll finish my Master's degree in 3 months (YES! FINALLY!) and I hope to get a job in a charity. I studied Business as an undergraduate and now I'm doing International Relations. I hope I get an ok job!

Biologically, there have been studies done on the differences between the brains of a homosexual man and a heterosexual man — they're still doing studies, but so far, there has been evidence that there is a major difference. You can't just cure something in your brain, nor can you just cut it out... all you can do is cover your own ears and scream that it isn't happening, and live your life as you think you're supposed to.
 
Homosexuality isn't unnatural.. Certainly, it doesn't produce offspring, but homosexuality has 'been a thing' about as long mammals 'have been a thing.' Possibly longer, even. Our species is actually the only one that seems to outright condemn it, or maybe I've just never heard of bonobos stoning lesbian bonobos or tigers isolating the two confirmed bachelors that hang around each other all the time.
 
Homosexuality can't be cured — it can only be personally denied, like a celibate priest or nun. Denial isn't a good thing, it isn't a step forward, it isn't proof that homosexuality is a bad thing... it's a step backwards that just perpetuates gays as being weak and scared. Which they aren't. Being openly gay isn't a walk in the park or one gigantic orgy or anything. It's putting yourself out there and hoping to be accepted (and not you know, tormented) instead of pretending to be 'normal,' even if you're not.

I recently lost 800k because of a hidden tower mishap. I was going to buy the last secret lab map piece. I was just on the boards today, and talking on my guild boards about what happened. Then, something amazing. I GET GIFTED A BABY PAINT BRUSH! I thanked the person, and bought the lab map piece. I'm so happy! On my first zap, my battle pet gained two levels! I'm awesomely happy right now!

You choose to be straight, meaning you have feelings for the same gender but choose to ignore them and only take interest in women?
That's terrible. I'm sorry you have to deny who you are :( Hopefully one day you will get to live as you truly are without society degrading you and making you feel lesser than for following your heart. No one should be suppressed because they're different!!

OMG I did it!!!! Woo! Okay so what worked for me was going sort of Zen and just following the Hasee with my eye and not focusing at all on the balloons. Also taking a break before each new level. Good Luck everyone! If I can do it I'm pretty sure anyone can. lol
