I finally got a gold trophy for getting the high score in a game. I got 3000 + in The Great Desert Race and I'm now waiting for the confirmation to say I have the high score.

This is my Aisha - I tried to make her as flashy and offensive as possible lol She's helping us look for plain plastic neggs!
 

So after 10 years of playing neopets, with some years only signing on for the Month of Celebrating to visit the Advent Calendar, I made the decision today to buy myself the Everlasting Apple. I had been drooling over this piece of fruit since I first discovered the Hidden Tower and now it is mine. I have moved all my omlettes and jellies to my shop as now my pets will be living large only muching on Everlasting Apple. To those who do not play, this feeling of invincibility that I am experienceing would seem silly.

First FFQ in 9 years so I will have to think about what to use it for and which pet

I've been browsing the trading post and auctions the past week in an attempt to grab neggs for my gallery that I don't already have. I happened across a trade today that was full of neggs and said "maybe free" for what they wanted. I took a look at the neggs and noticed that some of them were actually rather pricy to be given away. I neomailed the owner and asked if they had a price that would be acceptable, because free was just too good to be true. They mailed me back and said that they were leaving neo and those neggs were for a friend. I was disappointed, but said I wouldn't bid on them and that she should consider leaving some of her pricy items in her SDB in case she decided to come back later. So then I get a neomail a bit later from her that says her friend doesn't want the neggs and that she has more in her SDB to give away. What incredible luck! I'm still wondering if this is too good to be true and if something fishy is going on, but she has trades with all kinds of stuff for free. It really does seem as if she just wants to get rid of everything. So anyways, I just had to share my happy news for the day. My gallery increased by about 30 neggs today! Woohoo! :thumbsup:

I think that it's probably the best choice in this situation. I know if it were me with the illness, I would want what's best for my family, and the fact that everyone gets along and the wife is still there for him is great. I admire her courage so much, and his dignity in accepting that there's another man in their lives.
 
I know what it's like to be in a relationship with someone who is, for all intents and purposes, "not completely there," and the fact that she's trying her best to keep her family together while not depriving her son of childhood experiences despite how emotionally draining (and monitarily and physically, as often happens with illness) is amazing.

I'm not into LotR or HP either. I've watched LotR because my husband made me and wasn't impressed. HP, I refuse to even watch/read.
 
To me, I guess the Game of Thrones strikes my mind as more, medieval than fantasy, though it's definitely both. Personally, I love medieval stuff, so that might add to why I enjoy it so much, since I'm not much of a fan of fantasy series/books/etc in general.

I'm never one to do mean jokes or anything. My style of opportunity of a lifetime is to take something very small and make it big.
 
One 04/01, I did the eyeshadow opportunity of a lifetime. You know, you put some eyeshadow on your finger, and you tell someone they have an eyelash on your cheek. You then "wipe off" the non-existent eyelash. Sounds simple, and it is--what made this awesome was that I did it to a lot of people in the same class. We were doing activities in French class, and I managed to get twelve people IN THE SAME CLASS. They were all walking around with purple marks on their faces, and nobody caught on until class was over.
 
Last year, I was in the opera Iolanthe, and it opened on 04/01. We had to wear crazy amounts of make-up and glitter, and we tried to make it so we didn't look like normal humans. So naturally, it was the perfect opportunity to say "I dyed my hair!" on facebook. I made it elaborate, though, in doing it, and people ACTUALLY BELIEVED ME. I started out with "My fairy costume theme is Winter Rain, and my colors are purple and silver. My hair didn't really go with the theme, though, so I decided to dye my hair platinum blonde and put purple streaks in it. So far, I've dyed it the blonde, and the results are...interesting. Pictures to follow." A little bit later, I posted that the purple didn't work so well on the platinum blonde--it lightened to pink. I found a picture on the Internet of the back of somebody's head with those colors. People actually believed it.
 
 
 
This year, I did the pregnancy opportunity of a lifetime. You know how a lot of people post on facebook how they're pregnant, or they just had a baby today? I did something similar, but I'm enjoying myself a little too much...I'M not the one who had the baby. And obviously, no one's going to fall for this. BUT IT'S SO DARN CUTE.

I'm where you are with some things. Like a more hectic life. OH BOY YEAR 11! Second last chance to earn myself university-standard grades... talk about pressure.
 
Look, with the neopets thing - take a break. For a week, say, or whatever you think is a good time period. Do you find yourself thinking about neopets? If you do, you're interested enough to come back. What do you find yourself thinking of, re:neopets? That's what you focus on.
 
End of the day, it's a growth thing. As you get older, you decide what's important to you, what you need to let go of to spend more time doing what's important to you, and what you can keep for whatever reason. Not saying neopets is for kids, but it just might not be right at the top of your priorities anymore.
 
Oh my goodness a girl! First love? Mine wasn't that long ago and I remember how easily I got wrapped up in "must be perfect". Bad breakup, haven't dated again recently. On the other hand, I have a friend whose first boyfriend she is still with, and they've been dating for... almost three years, I think? But they have always been very realistic about each other, able to see each others flaws, and then accepting them. Just a thing to bear in mind.
 
Do not apologise for something like stopping playing. We all need to from time to time for one reason or another. And when and if you come back is something else you shouldn't apologise for. Just let us know.

I just checked the news and my felt plushie Carmariller was the first picture under the news story for the Random Contest! I didn't even have to do a nerve-wracking search through the winners to see if I was one of them. I'm so excited! It took quite a bit longer than I thought it would and I've always wanted that trophy! Can't wait for it to show up on my user lookup :)

In reality, you can play a game much like "Kacheek Seek", although it involves YOU hiding and physically having to move. This can be a scary concept, as reality is in 3D and provides endless possibilities for your foes to hide. Also, it is not the social norm for them to give you money if you end up finding them.

So you might've noticed I haven't really been active on the boards in the past week. I was in Portugal with my school over here in Spain (I'm on a three month exchange- you can see the topic in the "Your Life" forums). This next week I'm going to be at the beach with my host family and I feel really awkward going on the computer for long amounts of time so I won't be posting. Rest assured when I get back I'll try and kick my butt into gear and catch up on everything I've missed! I'll miss you guys! Talk to you all soon! :)

Awe, I think I kind of understand how you feel. I get angry/upset when someone attempts to correct me, too. I even try to say; "They're just internet people who don't know you, what's said doesn't matter", but it still ends up mattering to me anyway. Sometimes, when if/I fight with someone hear, I feel anxious - so it effects my reality.
 
I'm sorry to see you go. I will just say this: It doesn't matter if you're in College/University playing Neopets. I mean, I've graduated from College and I still play. You don't have to share the information with anyone and even if you do, why would your friends care?
 
Anyway, I wish you all of the best and do hope you consider coming back.
 
I think it's really cool that you know so much about yourself and you're trying to deal with your issues. I should use you as my own inspiration.
