If you are using "Adblock" as an adblocker, try switching to uBlock Origin adblocker instead. Adblock has been processing thousands of ads on Neopets pages for some reason and it is causing lag. Other users have reported no lag issues after swapping to uBlock Origin.

That could very well be the case. While I haven't tested the trick in beta specifically, it may also depend on which item you are trying to use. They stopped supporting translations a handful of years ago so items released since that date (until current day) will no longer be eligible to work anyway so maybe they just removed the ability to do it entirely because of that. It's still a silly mechanic to have, especially after a site revamp.

I want to like Steampunk so bad but it's way too flat or not shiny enough? Something about it just... missing. There's no pizazz or it feels incomplete? Can't really put my finger on it. The outfit is drawn nicely but not something that's really wearable imo but I'm sure there are people who love it.
