Oh my goodness! All this time... I have been putting thousands of np down for the wishing well! I took your advice and only put 25 np and I won a dirty fish tank! I am star struck! My very first wishing well wish has been granted. That is so cool!

This little guy didn't know what to do with the Mysterious valentine card either! Definitely lucky! I don't even remember the last time I had a faerie quest (that wasn't from a fortune cookie or the faerie quest event). (But I do remember getting 2 or 3 random quests within one or two days once.) (And @jellysundae I don't think it's just a UK thing, although it's possible I mostly heard this from British people. But it definitely applies to other countries (or, at least, The Netherlands) as well.)

That IS lucky! I've had a few quests lately - though not on the same day - for me at least they seem to be almost cyclic? I don't get one for MONTHS and then a bunch come along together. Like the joke about buses. Unless that's just a UK thing. ?

I'm leaning towards 'lucky'. I have had 3 in quick succession, last of a Fortune Cookie, start of a new Cookie, and one randomly gained, but that's stacking the odds in my favor. All that said, refreshing a page gives a chance of a random event, including, but not limited to, a faerie quest.

It makes a kind of 'zzrrrppptttt' sound before shutting down completely. The creepy Kookith shoos you away and appears quite angry, so you hightail it out of there before he shoots some miniature laser beam at you or something. Sunday 2nd Hee hee hee! There do seem to be some similarties to the Shop Wizard, although the Wishing Well will usually only have 2 or 3 winners with the same first letter, so I think the mechanism is at least slightly different. I definitely agree that it's mostly luck, as I do think it's mostly random, but if I were to program (or monitor) a 'random' contest, I'd make sure that if someone already won that round (or even that day), they couldn't win again, to at least even out the chances for other players somewhat (especially with the amount of people wishing for stuff each day). Yeah, I agree with @jellysundae, the amount of NP doesn't really seem to matter (as long as it's at least 21). The more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to think that the only thing that might play a part in whether or not you win, is the first letter of your username. But I'm not even certain about that. I think the only things they definitely check are if your wish meets the minimum amount of NP donated, and if the item you're wishing for has a rarity lower than the max rarity that can be rewarded. Everything else appears to be random. (Which is good, except for the double winners. ) Oh well. Off to make more wishes! Our cat Josephine collapsed around noon today. My parents took her in, but she was in liver failure and nothing could be done. I had a friend over all day, so it took a while for her death to hit me. She never completely recovered from the same ailment that her brother Napoleon died of last June. Mom took all our cat stuff (litter box, etc.) down to the basement because she's too upset to look at it. I get that. I had to stop her from giving the toys away because we will eventually get more cats, but none of us are ready for that to be any time soon. Here's a picture of her from October 2016. I resized it too much. Oops.
