Hi, everyone!

I'm Agata and I come from Poland, I'm a student of English language, but if I make any mistakes - please, correct me ;) Although I'm 25, I still like playing neopets, it's a kind of addiction and sentiment, and I really enjoy many features there :)

I am new to the forum, finally I've decided to create an account, and now I'm browsing through the page to see what different features it has and what can I do here, and I already like it :) I like the fact that I can comment on new items, brushes, and especially - events and releases of new pet colours ;p I feel kind of overenthusiastic about it :D :dance:

if you step into this topic, feel free to write, I am very fond of meeting new people and would like to know you, guys, more to get familiar with how the forum works, etc.

Hi Agata, welcome to the forums! I don't know if this is the best place to practice your English, since Neopets uses so many made-up words, but hopefully you enjoy your time here anyway ;)

Hey welcome! I'm new myself to this site (been on Neopets for years though). I just wanna say that your written English is very good already! I'm going to school to be a teacher and educating ELL (English language learner) or ESL (English as a Second Language) students is one of our big focuses since we live in Florida; you're off to a great start! Meaning > form as they say.

 

I'm a 22 year-old freakin' redneck and I love Neopets still. It's so nice to have a piece of our childhoods with us to this day!!! Hope you're enjoying your time in Neopia!!

 

I'm loving the Daily Dare (except for the Dubloon Disaster and Darigan Dodgeball days) I guess the letter "d" stands for "difficult" heh. :whaa:

ryzegazelle - thanks for an answer, too! and for the appreciation of my English, I do my best :) I teach here and there, but mostly kindergarten and primary school kids, so that they get to know the vocabulary of yours :)

I couldn't manage the AAA challenge on a few games either, and Dubloon disaster was one of them... I hoped that I would have the coin worh 1000nps at the start, so I've tried dozens of times, but it didn't happen :( well, with dodgeball, I am still trying, though I won't get the "daily award" on this one.
 

Duma - well, since in Poland there is more than 30 million people, I am not afraid to admit I am a Pole ;p and, btw, "duma" is pride in Polish, did you know? :) cheers!

I did not know that. My Polish isn't that good :p

Yaay, learned something new again today :D

 

I picked it because in Swahili it means Cheetah. And since Cheetah's live in Afrika I though it was perfect (Cheetah's are my favorite animal). On top of that it's a good and easy nickname. I've been using it for over 10 years now. I'll never change it.

Welcome to the forums Agata! The mixing of words can be a frustration for some of us who speak English as their first language as well :)

woah, thank you for so many answers and welcomings :) I'm very glad to see that :)

@Duma - hah, fortunately or not, some words can have different meanings depending on a language ;p that's nice to know what it means in some others, too :) I had my nickname since I always wanted to have the name Jagoda in Polish (it means a Blueberry, it's really a Polish name :P ). But my cousin decided it's too mainstream, so she changed me into Jagodzianka (a sweet bun with blueberries) and I liked that :P Just with a slight modification of the word ;p

@patrickbailey well hello, I see you don't mind to say who you are either ;p there are whole lots of people in the USA, so I see why it's not a big thing ;p nice to meet you :)

@just4dailies - I know, especially if it's mixed by some non-natives, who think like "what the ... is wrong with this word?" :P
