Breaziecat
I switched my game into Spanish recently, and I noticed that 'no friends online' message seemed to mean something different than in English. So, using Google Translate, I checked how that message was translated into other languages. Here are the results: English - None of your Neofriends are currently online. You must be lonely. Dutch - Er zijn momenteel geen Neovrienden online. Je zult wel eenzaam zijn. There are no Neofriends online. You must be very lonely. Portuguese - Nenhum Neoamigo está online no momento. Não é chato ficar sozinho? No De Amigo is online right now. It is not boring to be alone? German - Keiner deiner Neofreunde ist momentan online. Kein Grund zum Traurigsein - deine Neopets sind immer für dich da. :) None of your Neofriends is currently online. No reason to be sad - your Neopets are always there for you. :) French - Aucun de tes Neoamis n'est en ligne actuellement. Tu dois te sentir seul. Neo any of your friends is currently online. You should feel alone. Italian - Nessuno dei tuoi Neoamici è online al momento. Non ti senti solo? None of your enemies is online at the time. Do not you feel lonely? Spanish - Ninguno de tus Neoamigos están conectados. Ya es hora de hacer nuevos amigos... None of your friends are online. It's time to make new friends ... Chinese - 你的尼奥好友都不在线上。 你一定很寂寞了。 Mourinho is not your friend online. You must be very lonely. Japanese - ネオフレンドは全員オフラインさみしいよね。 Neo friend is all offline It's lonely. Korean - 접속중인 네오친구가 없어요. 외롭겠네요. There's no connection being neo friend. Getneyo lonely. My favorite translation is German; Spanish is kind of funny too. And what's up with the Italian Neoenemies... I just wanted to show someone this :) What do you think? life_eclectic and rntracy1

I just wanted to show someone this :) What do you think? I think they are pretty hilarious. The Japanese translation sounds exactly the way they speak. (no insult intended) But now I understand why they speak the way they do. It isn't because of English being a second language, it is the order of the wording in their language. lol. Very entertaining, thanks for the post.
loveking520
I know Chinese and the correct translation for this Chinese sentence should be: Your Neofriends are all offline. You must be very lonely.
aih_ocelotl
Although I'm a native Spanish speaker from Mexico, I've seldom used the Spanish version, first since the first translations were machine generated and therefore had a terrible grammar and term transgiversation... Even for the species name Castillian phonetic versions were used, later it all began to improve, but since not all the site was translated, I just didn't bother. Even my side accounts are set to English...
life_eclectic
That is very interesting. It never occurred to me that the other languages could say something different from the English. Most are similar, though my favorite is the German. It would be cool if it it was something more positive for all the languages.
Panthersclaw
I thought it was very interesting, especially the "none of your enemies are online" thing XD Thanks for posting this.
Breaziecat
I know Chinese and the correct translation for this Chinese sentence should be: Your Neofriends are all offline. You must be very lonely. I think you could fix it, if you wanted - Google translate lets you fix wrong translations.
nousha
In Italian it doesn't say that your enemies are not online, hahah, funny google translate :) It got confused by "neoamici". 'Amici" is 'friends' and thus neoamici means neofriends. So it simply says "none of your neofriends are online at the moment".
Breaziecat
There's this one pet, t__nicole__t, that's male but listed as 'femenino' in Spanish, and another pet, jas_mystery, that's also listed as 'feminino' but is actually a girl. I don't even...
erato_
Actually the French is translated as "None of your neofrienfs are currently online. You must be lonely" I'm surprised the Dutch is spot on
