010_pipsy_010
The last band I went to see live was a British band called Status Quo. They have been around since the late 60s and are still going strong. They were supported by 10cc, another British band from the early 70s. What was the last band/artist or show you went to see live and would you recommend the music/show to others?
LillytheGrundo
Last month I went to see The Black Keys. They were AMAZING!
Spritzie
I don't go to concerts/shows near as much as I used to, but my most recent was back in March. I went and saw Celtic Woman when they were in town and it was absolutely amazing. They have beautiful voices and really put on a great show. Mouseykins
The last concert I went to was about 6 years ago. I went and saw Evanescence and it was awesome! My ears were ringing so bad afterwards, but it was all worth it. I'd love to go see them again, as well as other groups but it's kind of hard now with two small kids and being out in the middle of nowhere lol. :)
010_pipsy_010
I don't go to many music gigs either, mainly due to the cost, but I would love to see Luke Bryan, Toby Keith and Great Big Sea live. Unfortunately, none of these guys are that well known over here in the UK, so it's not worth them coming over I guess :(
KyokoHateshinai
Woww this topic makes me nostalgic lol. Um I think the last one I saw was back in 2011 for a kpop concert....but wow...that was a long time ago huh. 010_pipsy_010
nicolelouise
I think the last gig I went to was Bobby Long back in 2011. I didn't realise it had been so long since I saw a live gig!
deboratibi
I saw Nine Inch Nails in April this year! Even though NIN is my favourite band and the show was great, it wasn't the best I've ever been to. I almost feel bad about saying this. It's just that Trent can be a bit cold and distant with the audience. I know that's how he is and I can't expect him to change, but I can't help making comparisons either. I saw Morrissey back in 2012 and he had such a great energy, I felt connected. That was my favourite show <3 My next one will most likely be Front 242, in April (if they don't cancel). Ranaki
Oh goodness... Call me a recluse, but I've only been to one theater/show. It was a dual showing of Annie and Cats (not at the same time, of course) in an outside theater with live people on stage when I still lived in Missouri. I haven't lived there since I was 7 o.o I'm 28 now, so it was over 20 years ago.
Venus0523
It wasn't the last one, but one of my favorites ..... "Everything I need to know I learned in kindergarten"
010_pipsy_010
UPDATE: the latest gig I've been to was yesterday (Sunday). An English folk singer/songwriter called Seth Lakeman. I've been to see him four times now and each time he is amazing!

I've seen them four times and was completely floored. They really put on an amazing show. Unfortunately, I just read an interview with Amy Lee and she said she can't see Evanescence touring again... :-( The article totally bummed me out. Avia loves Chias
i haven't been a concert in a very long time, but this week, i went to an aphex twin listening party at a friend's house and that was pretty fun. :D i used to go out to edm parties all the time, but since i moved out of nyc, it's been pretty sparse. brynchilla
I haven't gone to a music concert before, and I don't think I would like too. I think they would be much too loud, and too crowded for my tastes. I do like going to plays and musicals, though! The last musical I went to was Book of Mormon, in Chicago. Ben Platt was in it, he played Benji in Pitch Perfect.

The last musical I saw was an amateur production of "Gypsy" - the story of Gypsy Rose Lee. It was brilliant. :)
.Brianna.
The last concert I went to was Elton John around this time last year and he was fabulous! He performed for much longer than I expected too :) The hubs and I bought tickets on a whim after discussing people we wanted to see while they were still performing - definitely worth it! neopets98
HomuraAkemiTheHero
The last musical gig I have seen was when the whole school went to go listen to the local orchestra and one of the songs was Ode To Joy and we had to sing along in German along with one of our state anthems. One of the favorite plays I have seen was when I went to go see "Guys and Dolls" I think that was what it was called with my mother and a friend of hers. Although I have seen Christmas plays after that where some acting students performed. We don't get many big names of bands or actors where I live just some local people, but they are pretty good though.
1_groovychick
The last concert I went to was to see Tori Amos in July. Actually, I also saw Little Big Town at the Grand Ole Opry in September. I guess technically that would be the last gig/show I've been to.

The last musical I saw was an amateur production of "Gypsy" - the story of Gypsy Rose Lee. It was brilliant. :) I loved it. It was a satire/comedy about Mormons. The songs are really nice. (Robert Lopez, who with his wife wrote the songs in Frozen, was one of the three who wrote the songs for the Book of Mormon.) It's basically about these 2 Mormon missionaries who head over to Africa to convert the people to Mormons. And things don't go as planned. It's funny, but can be a bit nsfw at times. But I think it has a good message. neopets98
yesadnil
The last one I went to was Boston Calling, where I saw Modest Mouse, Tegan and Sara, Brand New, amongst others. :) It was so awesome!
eileen_kelli
Not too long ago, me and a couple friends drove 17ish hours to Kentucky to see AFI, then to Alabama to see them again. We would have gone to the next show 2 days later in Louisiana, but the 20+hr drive home would have meant missing work. and work is what pays for roadtrips. Marae19
About a month ago I saw Ed Sheeran live, and I absolutely loved it! I went with a good friend of mine and some friends of hers, and it was incredible. That guy makes it sound like there's a whole orchestra on stage, but it's just him and a loop-machine-thing. Amazing! The last musical I went to was the Little Mermaid, and I loved every bit of it. There was one strange thing about it, which was because of the fact that I saw it in Dutch (I am Dutch), they re-translated the lyrics. So, the music was the same as in the Dutch version of the Disney Movie, but the lyrics of the Dutch Disney Movie that I know and love weren't used in the musical, but different ones. Which was strange, seeing as I was quite looking forward to silently singing along with the lyrics :(
voteforpedro333
A couple months ago I went to see my favorite band Coheed and Cambria for the second time. They did a special tour where they basically just played an entire album from start to finish, and they had like three encores. Always looking forward to all the stuff they do. Koakuma_Heaven
My last gig was ages ago, in 2011 I saw X-Japan in June followed by Gackt in July, it left me poor and exhausted (queued for about 26 hours for Gackt but it was worth it, FRONT ROW *still has little heart flutters*) but absolutely worth it, they're my third and first favourite artists, respectively and I'd kill to see them again just not so close together this time! My last theatre show was Les Miserables way too long ago, hopefully next year I'll have to cash to see ALL THE THINGS at the RSC theatre (gotta love living close to Stratford)

I guess technically that would be the last gig/show I've been to. OMG, I last saw Tori Amos play over 20 years ago when I was at University! I really want to see Ed live, but he sold out pretty quickly for his tour here in Oz next year. Then I discovered they'd added a couple of shows, that still had tickets but they were on my mum's and my daughter's birthdays (which follow each other) and since my mum is flying over for my daughter's birthday, the idea of me flying out of state to go see Ed would not go down too well!
