why is the "MSPP Pencil Case" inflating ?

since I observed that people were selling or trading it at the trading post.

 

is there an event for it? avatar?

HTS items can fluctuate wildly in pretty short periods of time because there's no natural price-check (like being buyable at the Hidden Tower or released regularly through events/shops), so it's all just supply and demand and what people are willing to pay for it. Maybe a lot of people are starting MSPP galleries? xP There's no real reason for people to be buying them so fast, so if you wait a while, they might come back down.

when I sell something on the TP I do try to get the price right but it can be really confusing at times, some items seem to rocket up in price in a short time then drop just as fast, I suppose someone somewhere is making a profit playing with the prices
