fabu
Hello, I have been doing the battle dome for profit quite a while now, but I do need a better set. As of now, I have: Parasol of Unfortunate Demise Sandstone Boots Lesser Healing Scroll Scarab Ring Snowager Sword Rainbow Scroll Parchment Cloak Flask of Liquid Fire And my pet's stats are: Level: 29 HP: 59 Attack: 58 Defence: 57 I also only have a little over 540K NP on hand. I am considering Rejuvenating Jar of brains for healing, and Scroll of Knowledge to replace my Rainbow Scroll. I would also like to spend the LEAST amount overall possible. Thank you. Rune Valentine
I am going to try my best to help you out. *puts on her Lamppost hat* :P I don't think I can be as comprehensive as our Battledome experts but I think I can cover the basics. So, your set seems to be a little bit all over the place. You're going to need to focus your energy on getting two main constants (for attack), a shield, a healer, freezer, and possibly a 1-use bomb. On a decent budget I'd suggest: 2x Scroll of Knowledge (11 attack icons) Leaf Shield (I find is more reliable than the Parasol, but you could keep both in your set) Rejuvenating Jar of Brains is a good investment but you should consider training up more :) At your current HP, you can get away with a Lesser Healing Scroll Randomly Firing Freeze Ray (quite pricey but the only proper freezer in its price range) Brain Muffins (you can get these from Central Arena Challengers) For more information on good weapons to build your set, I suggest having a look at our Battlepedia's Basic Weapon Sets page: http://battlepedia.thedailyneopets.com/index.php/articles/viewarticle/basic-weapon-sets/ But in all honesty you don't need much for battling 1-Player challengers, there are quite a few that will give you good drops without having to dish out heavy damage/buy a new set. From experience, I've only ever had to use constants, a shield and a healer. Freezers are for tougher opponents. If you're trying to improve your battling all together, add training to your list. More strength = more damage with the same weapon, and faster rounds so you don't have to worry about healing and blocking. And at your level you can still at the Academy, where Dubloons are the currency and really aren't worth much. It's a good investment apart from improving your battle set. And at level 50, you get a pretty cool Faerie Ability called Lens Flare that blocks all attacks from your opponent for one round. Lamppost
Yes, Rune Valentine gave some good advice! Rejuvenating Jar of Brains is definitely too strong for you at your current max HP. You would never get full use out of it. If you really want to upgrade your healer I'd suggest Greater Healing Scroll or for something a little cheaper Blue Scorchstone. Lesser Healing Scroll should serve you fine though. If you're looking for which weapons to replace in your set, I think you should ditch the Sandstone Boots and the Scarab Ring. You can get a lot more icons for fairly cheap so you might as well trade those out. And definitely take a look at the Basic Weapon Sets page that Rune Valentine linked to. Pretty much any weapon on there is a good purchase so hopefully it can help you find the right weapon for you. If you're battling in 1-P primarily, you can also use the Battlepedia to find your opponent's weapons. That can help you determine which shield is better to use. Leaf Shield is great against opponents who deal a lot of earth or water but Parasol of Unfortunate Demise is best for those who specialize in light attack. Good luck! blackberrypatch
I would suggest a scroll of ultranova - it deals more damage and is <5 np :)
johnnxiv
I'm using 2 Scroll of Knowledge to attack in BD, what is the next 2 weapons I can upgrade? with a budget of 2M. I found Altador Cup Throwing Star andHanso Charisma CharmWhich one is better to buy 2? or use both?
Lamppost
I would say it depends. If you want the defense that Hanso Charisma Charm offers, then go with that. If not, the Altador Cup Throwing Star has more attack icons and will do more damage to your opponent. HCC does have good defense, but it only helps if your opponent is attacking with dark icons. I found Altador Cup Throwing Star and Hanso Charisma Charm Which one is better to buy 2? or use both? If you are mostly on 1P (like 99% of everyone), I say go for the throwing star. The dark defense that the charm offers isn't going to be utilized much vs. go-to 1P challengers. Lamppost
