Key Quest debacle... help?

Hey guys,

 

This is my first post here so bear with me...

 

So I was playing KQ and my husband had a little emergency that required 30 seconds of my time. Apparently in that short period of time, my turn came up and I missed it by a second. Well, the person I was playing against NeoMails me after the game (which she won, btw) and tells me:

 

"Intentionally skipping a turn is a freezable offense. I gladly reported it. Kisses."

 

..... what the heck am I supposed to do here? Apparently Sensitive Sally thought I was cheating.. Funny, seeing as I didn't even win.

 

Anyone got any advice or anything?

There is nothing you can do. It's like if the doorbell rang, your baby cried and the phone rang at the same time. Would you give priority to a game or give your attention to real life stuff that really needed you. :P And TNT does understand that kind of stuff.

How in the flying Farnswap is that cheating? Skipping a turn isn't "cheating", as this derp suggests. Unless it's a turn that you've been hexed and can't collect any items/roll only 1, 2, or 3. In fact, I think the other person skipping a turn is awesome, because in 2 player games, you get to go again, so it's win-win for you. :D

She'll hopefully be warned for being over-sensitive.

Fun fact: did you know that false reports can get YOU a warning instead of the person you reported? If you report someone for something that they didn't do, or report people repeatedly for things that are not actual offenses, you can get punished instead.

 

I've never played KeyQuest, but I guess people get angry if you quit a game early, because that makes them lose a win they would have gotten. But she got a win. You have nothing to worry about.

People are definitely way too touchy when it comes to KeyQuest. Just take Xepha's advice and don't sweat it. You'll be fine. :)

The "kisses" at the end is just the worst. That makes him/her sound so rude. Not that they weren't before but it's just like adding to it. I'm sorry you had to deal with someone like that but as most have said, I wouldn't be too concerned with it. Hope everything with your husband is alright!

Oh, I know right? So snarky. Everything was fine. It was just super annoying to lose the game and then get that really sassy neomail.

Exactly! I completely agree! I'm really sorry that she/he was that rude to you over... well, a game! My goodness. People are so touchy.

I know it's hard, but the best thing you can do is: completely ignore her/him. I'm 100 percent positive you won't be warned or anything over this.

On that note, I think there have also been people who have been warned for sending neomails warning about rules or threatening/telling people you're reporting them. I'm fairly sure that ninja_peaches could report that user for harassment, although I'm not sure if I would personally do it. Easy enough just to move on - I doubt TNT would take any action for skipping a turn in KQ, especially if it's only the first time it's happened. :)

Like: I'm sorry it bothered you that I skipped a few turns. I had to leave my computer for a minute. *Reason. My hamster escaped/Just got a phone call/I fell off the couch/whatever* It's good for you to play a few times in a row, isn't it? And you won! :D So, that's a good thing! .'

 

This way TNT could see that she'd won and you didn't do it on perpose, if they even look at her report.

And, he/she would be frustrated that you'd awnser so nicely.
