I know there's a uni where they have all these bunnies hopping about in a large tank - so cuttee! :wub_anim:

Then then close the lid, press a button, and gas them all to death so they can operate on them.

Wait, what? (Yahoo is stalking the board... :shiftyeyes_anim:)

Look at this from yesterday. xD

SUCCESS.

That... was seriously random. But either way, congrats on your feat Khaos! ^_^

Random: I will never get the meaning of Yahoo, Google and all the other stuff.

Ain, those are search engine bots scanning the page to be honest. That's why you see Yahoo, Google, Ask Jeeves, and others on the bottom of the page.

Posted

Is Alexa one of those too? I also saw Facebook stalking the forum once. xD

Yes they are, there are also Facebook bots that scan this page, too. Twitter bots also do the same as well.

I'm confused. What are bots and why do they scan us? More importantly, who the high heck is Alexa?

Posted

They're usually from search engines and they make note of the things posted, that way, if someone goes onto Google and searches certain terms that appeared in a post here, it would link them to the post in the search results.

Alexa is not a person, it is a search engine like Google, only more lesser known. This is it right here: http://www.alexa.com/

I've heard of Alexa and I see it coming here often.

Also, from time to time I see Facebook here and I'm like why does Facebook need to be here.

EDIT: There are Twitter bots here too? o_O How come I never see them?

Posted

I generally see Yahoo and MSN/Bing. Facebook is less often. I don't remember seeing Alexa or Twitter personally.

Posted

No bots here right now but I see Ask Jeeves and Yahoo here the most often.

I see Google and Yahoo more often than anything . . . right now there's just me & some guest lurking . . . HI GUEST!!! (you should really officially join the forums. We're pretty cool . . .)

Posted

These guests don't know what they are missing over here at TDN. Every time I stop by this thread, there will be at least one or two guests (and in uncommon cases, a search engine bot) looking at this thread.

I'm really happy with the choices I made with some of my pets names. I have a few new pets:

Yeah those guests should get on board with us! :)

Speaking of which, hi two guests!!!! Join us! We have cookies & stuff!

*activates stealth mode to get cookie* Mmmm, cookies :yum: I made pumpkin past tonight which was delicious. But now I want something baked. I must decide what to make. Probably some sort of cookie.

Posted

I'm eating a packet of cookies right now. Most of the stuff I had to eat or drink (except for ciabatta and milk) today was ridiculously unhealthy.

Also, I feel really guilty because I ate like, half a tub of candy corn today. I usually never eat that much candy in a week. x_x

I think Candy Corn is an acquired taste for my family. My dad is the only one that likes it. I can't stand the flavor, personally.

Posted

I enjoy candy corn in small doses, and yes, I'd agree that it's an acquired taste. Though there is a caramel apple candy corn flavor that I really love!

Posted

They have chocolate candy corn, too! & I absolutely love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I like the Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs they have at Easter better, mostly because there's more peanut butter with the chocolate :)

Posted

Really? I've never seen chocolate candy corn.

I like the big Reese's cup, that has more peanut butter. For some reason, that radio of chocolate/peanut butter tastes better.

Posted

Yup, they sure do!

This one is actually chocolate caramel.

The typical chocolate candy corn is this one, called Indian corn. It's only got a little bit of chocolate, which is why I prefer the chocolate caramel one.

And yeah, regular Reese's have the perfect chocolate/peanut butter ratio, but sometimes you just need the extra peanut butter fix, at least I do :)
