Spritzie
A company I worked for a few years ago, did a costume contest. I don't remember many of them, but one that stuck out was a lady dressed as a bubble bath. She ran around in a shower cap, slippers and was completely wrapped in bubble wrap. :laughingsmiley:
Divya Bean
:laughingsmiley: LOL!! I hope the bubble wrap wasnt see through. x_x
Spritzie
She had clothes on under it. Shorts and a t-shirt. And she ran around with a back scrubber too.
Divya Bean
Whew! And that is really funny! One of the people at the contest was dressed up as a bubble bath with the Sparklyrubberduckys and everything!
Spritzie
I think costumes would be fun to do. I remember in grade school, they had "Storybook Character Day" instead of Halloween stuff.
Divya Bean
Aw! Thats cute. It has to be "school appropriate" of course. :laughingsmiley:
Spritzie
They just randomly changed it one year. They used to tell everyone to wear their Halloween costumes on the last day of school before Halloween.
Divya Bean
What a disappointment! I remember that there was this awesome rock wall in my elementary school but they took it down for no reason one year! No injuries had even happened because of it! <_<
Spritzie
Sometimes, I think they just like changing things to confuse people.
Divya Bean
Lol! I remember they switched a bunch of rooms: they built a new gym, the old gym became the library, and the library became the auditorium, and the auditorium was connected to the new gym. :S
jumpingbeans
The auditorium is where you give presentations, and hear them, right? Because that's odd, because we see presentations in the gym.
Divya Bean
Yeah, and it is also for the orchestra and band concerts.
Spritzie
In grade school, our gym was used for everything. It was the lunch room, the gym (obviously) the plays/talent shows/lip syncs were done there, as was the band/choir/orchestra concerts. Divya Bean
Woah! It must have been weird running around in food. People at my school are so messy!
jumpingbeans
Our gym is for everything too. Plays/musicals, performances, the band, everything. Though we use classrooms for lunch, or go outside.
Spritzie
By middle school, we had a lunch room, an auditorium and a gym. :laughingsmiley: But my grade school was pretty old.
Divya Bean
My elementary school was redone about 6-7 years ago, so it is fairly new. My HS was just redone and I am so happy! It is gorgeous!
Spritzie
All the schools I went to, my mom went to as well, so they're fairly old. My grade school, all they did was repaint while I was there. In 6th grade, they redid some of the ceilings. And in HS, they hadn't done anything.
Divya Bean
Aw! I find changes so interesting. In my middle school, they repainted the walls from green to red and it was so cool. It was really spiriting too because green is our rival schools color and red is our color!
Spritzie
When they repainted my grade school, they went with "calming" colors, like pale yellow, blue, and green.
Divya Bean
Lol! My school definitely needs that. The kids are crazy.
CAV of Gang Green
While this would be awesome, will the remaining pieces still be... edible by March? If so, then that is awesome and you should share with us. No they most likely won't be edible. I need postage numbers. If not, I can't send you anything. :( -proudly holds up king size Crunch bar- Some guy gave me a big bag of Sour Apple Cotton Candy. Thanks! My costume was a win: I was a piggy!!!! :laughingsmiley: I was the Grim Reaper. Several people were Pigface from the Saw films. Most kids were Iron Man or a Power Ranger. But there were other costumes. One guy dressed up as Jake from Avatar. It was homemade, facepaint and all.
Spritzie
Most kids were Iron Man or a Power Ranger. Power Rangers? Seriously? Those are still around? I remember being in 5th grade, helping out with the Kinder-gardeners and she wanted to play Power Rangers and I was like, what's that? :laughingsmiley:
CAV of Gang Green
Since they ran out of ideas, ABC/Disney felt that it was a good idea to give re-runs of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Since most of the kids were born WAY AFTER the original series ended, the kids think it's a brand new idea. So they wanted to dress up as (surprise, surprise) the red ranger. Spritzie
:laughingsmiley: Now if they'd done Rainbow Brite or something, that'd have been better. That show was off the air before I was even born.
