jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Yes it does! It just is very, very, very late afternoon. Quote
antiaircraft Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Or more concisely, mid-evening. :P By the way, am I the only person here who gets a lot of satisfaction from getting several clocks in perfect sync? Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 No, I like getting clocks exactly the same down to the little second hand. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 It's okay, I was like that for a while, and sometimes, I still can't. Quote
antiaircraft Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Heh, I figured out how to read analogue clocks before digital ones, but I still very much prefer digital displays. 24-hour if possible. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I'm not good with 24 hour clocks, but I can sometimes read them. Quote
antiaircraft Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I like the determinism that's present in the 24 hour system. From a single glance (interpreting only four symbols), you get a definite, unambiguous indication of the time of day. Plus, it scales linearly, which makes it easier to handle in logical systems (like programs). Quote
antiaircraft Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Unfortunately, here in East Malaysia, heavy cloud cover makes that method of telling the time extremely difficult, if not impossible, to pull off most of the day. :( Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I always imagined you living in Europe or something, Theo, not Malaysia. Quote
antiaircraft Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Isolated? How so? I always imagined you living in Europe or something, Theo, not Malaysia. Heh, I guess my mode of speaking and the fact that my appearance is masked makes me seem pretty... western on the Internet. And I don't exhibit any signs of that near-incomprehensible Malaysian-English slang. xD But I'm pretty sure I look Asian enough in real life: Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I know. I don't think I could live without a computer. Edit: Wow. You looked different from what I thought you would. I like the accent, though. Quote
Athene Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Yeah. And this doesn't have anything to do with it either, but I've changed my name to Jubble Bubble. Just thought you guys should know. Also, I'm gonna get a new signature soon, and I'll try and write in a ocean blue. I like it, it suits you :) Indeed. And Livvy, I'm pretty sure 19:30 doesn't exactly qualify for late afternoon. :P 24 hour clock :wub_anim: Y'know, If I didn't have a computer, I would be so isolated in England. Aww, whereabouts in England do you live? Quote
antiaircraft Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Woot! I'm not the only 24-hour addict here! xD @JB: Thanks - apparently my accent is pretty unique. :) Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I like it, it suits you :) Are you talking about the color blue, or the new name, Jubble Bubble? Quote
antiaircraft Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Are you talking about the color blue, or the new name, Jubble Bubble? I think they both go together to fit you pretty well. Edit: Just to clarify, I neither claim to be Athene, nor am I answering for her. I am merely interjecting with my opinion. :) Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Thanks. Though I have to speak in pink for the next 12 hours because of a dare. Quote
antiaircraft Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Heh, at least you don't have to change the gender on your profile. :P Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Did someone have to do that before? Also, I've got a really cool dare for the next person. Quote
antiaircraft Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Um... no I don't think so. But I'm pretty sure I pondered daring someone to do that. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Why don't you go do that, so I can post my awesome dare! Quote
antiaircraft Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Well, I'm not sure that it's possible for normal users to do that in the current forum implementation. Hmm... Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I'd be able to do it. I just checked. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 That potato head is bald. It reminds me of Chris Sabat, especially when the C in CAV stands for Christopher. No offence, CAV, it was just a thought. It's just a thought. Nothing that I'd take offence to. And now I've got to post a glue stick, and post in pink. At least I can post the stick in a spoiler. Your welcome. :D Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I know, I'm so happy that I don't have to use my glue stick any more! Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Has it been 20 posts already? Dang. I should make it longer next time. Quote
