Hang Out and Post

That is very strange... because Ani is in India, so it can't really be 2:30 PM for her if it's 6:30 PM for me...

I m wondering that too. :O I should check the settings and change it.

I maintain that time is overall the most confusing and least useful dimensions. It's entirely defined by humans, so there are built-in flaws, and the whole time zone thing is just... well, it's baffling.

Someday, I'm going to move to a rebel island where we don't use time. Time is too confusing.

Good luck with that. And are you referring to and island like LOST, the tv show, because I hear that doesn't really work out so much for them in the end.

Nope, no weird sci-fi tech-y stuff. Just an island where people don't believe in waking up at 7 AM, they instead believe in waking up when the sun is at the tip of the palm tree as seen from point x in the village square.

We'll have an elected timekeeper who is responsible for determining the sun-points each day and what activity they equate to. Such as the sun-point for leaving work, the sun-point for waking up, the sun-point for gatherings to be held...

Spritzie is awesome. She is probably the most active member here. I respect her very much.

Thank you Anisha. I love being awesome. b)

EDIT: Yeah, I really like Spritzie. She seems a lot like me but a bit older. :)

And thank you Livvy. :)

Ugh, I'm back. It's pouring cats, dogs, and horses here. I had to go to the other building for the delivery and I got soaked. The sidewalk was flooded.

You do realize that this is actually kind of similar to how 'normal time' was defined?

And Spritzie, horses?!? really?

Also I love 1/2 price day. I scored herbal scrambled eggs and magical cookie today. Holla!

Yes, you can be the proud owner of the rainhorse named Starlite. :P

EDIT: Yep, Wembly, I do, but on this island, we won't have defined time periods. They'll be totally dependent upon the sun, which actually makes more sense, because light, and not some arbitrary number, is the important factor in distinguishing night from day.

So, Spritzie, what time did the package come at?

And why did you have to go to another building?

It came at 4:00 PM. And we service 2 buildings right now. At one point, it will be 3, before cut back to 2. So I have to get everything done at both.

And Spritzie, horses?!? really?

Yes, horses. The sidewalk flooded in 5 minutes... so it has to be horses too.
