jumpingbeans
I don't see how it would vary with time-zone. It all uses the TDNST, doesn't it? And hi again, Chrissy. Saw you earlier today.
Anisha
Victor, look at the TDN clock. Mine says it's Aug 03 2010 02:29 PM. And hello there Chrissy! ^_^
livvy
Hi Chrissy! Welcome! We like new posters. :) I don't think there is a TDNST. It says 6:33 for me.
jumpingbeans
5:33 I guess it does vary from place to place...but that's not my time-zone. Odd...
livvy
That is very strange... because Ani is in India, so it can't really be 2:30 PM for her if it's 6:30 PM for me...
Noog
Victor, there is no TDNST. You can change the time in your settings.
livvy
Ah! So is time just randomly assigned until you fix it? Time is a really bizarre dimension. It's uniformly inconstant.
jumpingbeans
Oh...that would explain it. I'll go change my TDN clock now.

I m wondering that too. :O I should check the settings and change it.
livvy
Someday, I'm going to move to a rebel island where we don't use time. Time is too confusing.
jumpingbeans
I just changed mine...and now it's right!!! Yeah!!
livvy
I maintain that time is overall the most confusing and least useful dimensions. It's entirely defined by humans, so there are built-in flaws, and the whole time zone thing is just... well, it's baffling.
Wembly
Someday, I'm going to move to a rebel island where we don't use time. Time is too confusing. Good luck with that. And are you referring to and island like LOST, the tv show, because I hear that doesn't really work out so much for them in the end.
livvy
Nope, no weird sci-fi tech-y stuff. Just an island where people don't believe in waking up at 7 AM, they instead believe in waking up when the sun is at the tip of the palm tree as seen from point x in the village square. We'll have an elected timekeeper who is responsible for determining the sun-points each day and what activity they equate to. Such as the sun-point for leaving work, the sun-point for waking up, the sun-point for gatherings to be held...
Spritzie
Spritzie is awesome. She is probably the most active member here. I respect her very much. Thank you Anisha. I love being awesome. b) EDIT: Yeah, I really like Spritzie. She seems a lot like me but a bit older. :) And thank you Livvy. :) Ugh, I'm back. It's pouring cats, dogs, and horses here. I had to go to the other building for the delivery and I got soaked. The sidewalk was flooded.
jumpingbeans
Time is confusing-so is everything else in the world.(except Neopets)
livvy
Spritzie, catch one of the horses as it falls and then ride it from place to place. It's faster and you won't get quite so wet.
Spritzie
Good idea! Can I name it Starlite too? I hate rain so much. It better stop before I get off work in 2 hours.
jumpingbeans
So, Spritzie, what time did the package come at? And why did you have to go to another building?

Such as the sun-point for leaving work, the sun-point for waking up, the sun-point for gatherings to be held... You do realize that this is actually kind of similar to how 'normal time' was defined? And Spritzie, horses?!? really? Also I love 1/2 price day. I scored herbal scrambled eggs and magical cookie today. Holla!
livvy
Yes, you can be the proud owner of the rainhorse named Starlite. :P EDIT: Yep, Wembly, I do, but on this island, we won't have defined time periods. They'll be totally dependent upon the sun, which actually makes more sense, because light, and not some arbitrary number, is the important factor in distinguishing night from day. Spritzie
So, Spritzie, what time did the package come at? And why did you have to go to another building? It came at 4:00 PM. And we service 2 buildings right now. At one point, it will be 3, before cut back to 2. So I have to get everything done at both. And Spritzie, horses?!? really? Yes, horses. The sidewalk flooded in 5 minutes... so it has to be horses too.
jumpingbeans
I never go to shops, so it doesn't really affect me. I'm horrible at restocking.I like sniping better.
Spritzie
I go to the shops here and there. I love the Post Office. I like popping into the various petpet shops too.
livvy
More Neopets discussion? *shakes head* The only way to be off-topic on the Off-Topic Board. =P
