Just an island where people don't believe in waking up at 7 AM, they instead believe in waking up when the sun is at the tip of the palm tree as seen from point x in the village square. We'll have an elected timekeeper who is responsible for determining the sun-points each day and what activity they equate to. Such as the sun-point for leaving work, the sun-point for waking up, the sun-point for gatherings to be held... Quote

They'll be totally dependent upon the sun, which actually makes more sense, because light, and not some arbitrary number, is the important factor in distinguishing night from day. Quote
