jumpingbeans Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 What's Burnout Paradise? It sounds cool. Is it an online game? Quote
Anisha Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Online gaming is not very nice to me. :/ I don't like short flash games. I lose all the time. Quote
IrishLiz Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Aww, now I feel bad... science isn't bad, it's just difficult. Ask me again when I'm done with school. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Are you done of school yet? Can I ask you now? Quote
IrishLiz Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 haha, well I have two bachelor's degrees - one in science and one in music. In order to be a scientist, I have to get my PhD. That's what I'm starting next week. Quote
Anisha Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Aww, now I feel bad... science isn't bad, it's just difficult. Ask me again when I'm done with school. Who on earth said science is bad? It's so awesome! :O And interesting. I love Biology. It's maths that is socked with evil. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I've got 0 bachelor degrees. Then again, I'm going in to Junior High, so I'm allowed to not a Bachelor's degree. Quote
IrishLiz Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 haha. That's fine. I'm getting my PhD in molecular/cellular biology. I always liked biology and chemistry in school, but not physics. My undergrad is in biochemistry - I wanted to combine the two. :laughingsmiley: Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 What's Burnout Paradise? It sounds cool. Is it an online game? Racing game, with a lot of crashing and aggression. You can play online, but with Xbox Live or PSN. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Sounds Cool. I personally like all branches of math, and most of science, including chemistry. I also like music and english/french. Quote
IrishLiz Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I took french too, and I liked it a lot. And of course music! I LOVE music. I play violin. My music classes were the best all through school. I loved them in college too. Quote
Anisha Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I'm getting my PhD in molecular/cellular biology. I always liked biology and chemistry in school, but not physics. My undergrad is in biochemistry - I wanted to combine the two. :laughingsmiley: I am pursuing Biology too. :) I am an intern at hospital. :laughingsmiley: biochemistry sounds cool. Chemistry is hard. :sad01_anim: All those equations, ah! Physics is easy. :P Quote
jumpingbeans Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 But biochemistry is part chemistry, so think of all those equations. I forget, what is physics? :* Quote
IrishLiz Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Oh sweet that you intern. :) That's a good way to find out if you like it. Biochemistry is pretty hard. I think it's harder than biology, but hey. All the equations from chemistry and all the minute details to memorize from biology. And I did not think physics was easy. :P (I thought chemistry was though.) I think for a lot of people either chemistry or physics is easy. My hardest science class I think was biophysical chemistry. It had quantum mechanics. Ack! Physics is almost pure equations. It deals with matter, energy, electricity, etc. Um, so when you study how rollercoasters work, or how items fall, or how gravity affects things, or the flow of electricity. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Interesting.... Sounds like in would be finding out the flow of electricity on a roller coaster in zero-gravity. Did you know that if you remove it from gravity, it become gravy! Quote
IrishLiz Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 hehe, that made me laugh. :) wow, maybe we should study gravy? Quote
jumpingbeans Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Yeah: Physics TeacherToday we will be talk about gravy StudentDon't you mean Gravity? TeacherNo! I mean Gravy. The think you cook chicken in. Anyway... (ten hours later) TeacherAnd that's the amazing concept of gravy. Any questions. Student*snore* Quote
-Ryan Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Other student: But... Sir, you still haven't explained the key to gravity and what it's purpose is. Tecaher: If you mean gravy, then that's for tomorrow. Tomorrow we discuss mashed potatoes. Quote
Noog Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Going back a bit... I must mention that xkcd is unquestionably the best comic ever. Truer words were never spoken. Science? I think I like chemistry the best. Studying gravy in class would be...torture if it was the class before lunch D: Quote
ΩCCΩ Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 *lol* I only tasted gravy once while eating in Kentucky. It was kinda heavy but tasty at the same time. Quote
Noog Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I don't know, there's lots of different kinds of "gravy". I really like chicken strips from dairy queen with that white gravy :D Brown gravy, the kind for mashed potatoes, is disgusting. Quote
Aidensmomma Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Gravy??? Mmmm I'm hungry! We usually use the brown stuff specifically for what meat we're eating (eg Turkey Gravy) Quote
ΩCCΩ Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 I ate the brown gravy, it wasn't that bad, just a bit weird cuz it was my first time tasting anything like that. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 You ate gravity? How did it taste like? Wait, sorry. You ate GRAVY. Duh! Quote
Aidensmomma Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 My brother in law is from OK and he eats this white thick gravy, it tastes very different from the brown stuff. Quote
