-Ryan Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Bleh, I don't overly like KQ. It seriously lags my computer and freezes it sometimes. Quote
Divya Bean Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I overly like KQ because I have a super fast laptop and I rarely get people who quit on me. All you have to do us chat a few sentences with them, and so they don't quit. Quote
shadows4fairy Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Ok I'm assuming KQ is referring to keyquest (we're on a neopets forum afterall ;3) I'm a huge KQ fan. Not only for the prizes, but I really like board games to begin with. Monopoly <3 ...I guess I'm just kind of lame that way. xD Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I hate KQ. Too much lag and pointless overall for me. Quote
Spritzie Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I'm unsure of how Key Quest would run on my work computer. It has a fast connection, but due to it running Vista, plus all the tech. programs required for my work stuff, it lags easily, which is why I use Chrome. I guess I'll have to try it though. Quote
shadows4fairy Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I have Vista too and KeyQuest runs just fine. I don't think the other programs you have installed should matter as long as you don't have everything open at once....which you shouldn't because you'd either be working or playing ;3 Although I admit that it can be really annoying when you're lagging because it's guaranteed you'd lose the mini-games that way. x_x Quote

Our work computers really need more RAM. Even opening up Microsoft Outlook, can lag it. But I'm will give it a shot anyway. Quote
Tyler. Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 yesterday, there was a 7.2 earthquake a couple hundred miles south of where I am it went on for like 5 minutes. 70 times stronger than the Haiti earthquake never been in a quake that strong Quote
Spritzie Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 yesterday, there was a 7.2 earthquake a couple hundred miles south of where I am it went on for like 5 minutes. 70 times stronger than the Haiti earthquake never been in a quake that strong Wow. Are you and your family okay? How strongly could you feel it? For some stupid reason, I've always wanted to experience an earthquake. I have this fascination with disasters, especially tornadoes.... those are my favorite. (Ironically, they scare me the most too. Probably because where I like, the only natural disaster that is any sort of serious threat, is tornadoes.) Quote
Tyler. Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 we're fine, luckily we weren't near any of the dangerous things that fell like glass Quote
shadows4fairy Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I haven't had much experience with natural disasters...is a couple hundred meters a safe distance away? =/ Well I'm assuming you're fine since you're here, typing in one piece! :3 Did it hit a remote area or somewhere with a lot of people? =/ Quote
Tyler. Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 epicenter was pretty remote, but major cities like LA and Tijuana felt it pretty bad I said a couple hundred miles :P Quote
Spritzie Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 In Colorado, we don't get earthquakes often. We got one probably... 10 years ago, on New Years Day, probably about 100 miles from where I live. But it was so small, we couldn't feel it. And tornadoes usually happen about... 20 miles east of me. So I'm pretty safe, snuggled up against the base of the Rocky Mountains. I guess that's one thing about living in Cali, right? Quote
Tyler. Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 yea Colorado doesn't get many because Colorado isn't near a tectonic plate boundary. I could bore you all day about this, but I won't xD Quote
shadows4fairy Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 epicenter was pretty remote, but major cities like LA and Tijuana felt it pretty bad I said a couple hundred miles :P :O Oh wow, LA got hit too? I guess I'll be seeing this on the news. I'm surprised I haven't already...is it all over already? or do they think more will hit? =/ And sorry, I meant miles ;3 I'm Canadian and I think the m just made me finish with eter  Oh and being Canadian means that I have seriously never encountered a natural disaster...I suppose I'm too far north of anything going on. Quote
Tyler. Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 the epicenter was in northern Baja. It was far inland so no tsunami warning ;D Quote
Spritzie Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I could bore you all day about this, but I won't xD  *Quietly slips the "Mega Disaster" book she's been reading at work into the back of the bottom desk drawer.* What? You didn't see anything. I swear. Quote
Divya Bean Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Hahaha, funny! I do that all the time too, in school. :laughingsmiley: But it is not always books, sometimes it is my cell phone or iTouch  . SHHHHH!! Dont tell on me! Quote
-Ryan Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 My teachers usually don't get mad at me for doing that kind of thing becasue what they always catch me doing is reading while everyone elseis texting. xD Quote
Divya Bean Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Haha! My teachers get mad if you are doing anything else other than paying attention. I mean, seriously, who does that any more? :laughingsmiley: Quote
Spritzie Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 When I was in HS, there was no cell phones. No one had them. Freshman year, I had a pager. I was one of only a few. And if they caught you with it out of your pocket, they'd take it away. I can't even imagine everyone running around in class with cell phones. In 7th grade, my friend Rachel and I just used sign language to talk. :laughingsmiley: Quote
Tyler. Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 just barely felt an aftershock I never have time to read in class. And I doubt anyone would get away with texting at my school lol, texting is a word not recognized by Chrome spellcheck xD Quote
Divya Bean Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Hahaha. Really, texting isnt a word on your thing? I was typing my name (Divya) and I accidentaly pressed Space after the Div. The squiggly red line didnt show up, so I looked up what a "div" is on word. It is...an offensive term used to directly insult somebody's intelligence. UK slang. Hahaha! Div is my nickname! :laughingsmiley: Quote
Tyler. Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 ugh, just remembered I have a history report to do on this guy--> :hannibal: but I'm lazy so I won't do it know x) Quote
Spritzie Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I love the built in spell check. I'm one of those people that if I can't spell the word I want to use, I will look it up to find the right spelling. If I can't find it, I will use a different word. I hate having typos, misspellings, etc. But I guess that's just the English major in me. :laughingsmiley: That's why I like Chrome so much. (And Firefox) Quote
