Theresa2 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Super Squirrel i heard pokemon SoulSlver was realy cool I havent played it yet but it sounds awsome cant wait to get it Quote
-Ryan Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Yeah, the fact you can walk around your pokemon is awsome by itself. Having a plant talk you is cooler than it sounds. xD Quote
Domino Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Ahhh. I thought about getting that game...but...I didn't really like Diamond/Pearl. Plus, IMO, there are a few too many pokemon now...I'm up to date with the Sapphire ones...but that's about it. Is it good? Quote
Tyler. Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I'm getting it soon. Really can't wait to have a cyndaquil following me around xD Quote
Domino Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 That makes me really happy just thinking about that. PS. I'm glad that you're one of us, Tyler. Fire pokemon pwn. Quote
Sakurai Yuki Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Pokemon~ Wow..I've only played one game of Pokemon and that was on my old original gameboy(I hope nobody minds me jumping into the conversation.o.o; ). -Also, I'm Yuki/Icy by the way.:3- Quote
-Ryan Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 I got Cyndaquil too. ^^ My current team is: Blaze(Lvl 18 Quilava) Hawk(Lvl 19 Pidgeotto) Thorn(Lvl 17 Bellsprout) Scrambled(Lvl 1 Togepi) Working on 3rd gym badge. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 I'm not getting SoulSilver/HeartGold. I want to move ahead, not go back. So I'll stick with my Diamond. I'll get my brother SoulSilver. As for pokemon types, I'm mixed, but lean more toward Dragon, Dark, and Steel. Quote
Domino Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 See, I'm all about the fire Pokemon. It was always annoyingly inconvenient that the rival always chose the type of pokemon that yours was weakest against. UGH. And sorry to be a Grass-basher...but really? Grass? I mean... fire and water are clear rivals and stuff...but I just don't understand how Grass beats Water? Can someone please enlighten me? Quote
-Ryan Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Well, think of it this way. If you throw water at a plant does it hurt it? No, it strengthens it What happens if you plant a flower next to a river? It steals some of the water and gets bigger. Quote
Tyler. Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I like psychic, but always choose fire as my starter Quote
-Ryan Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Ice types have always appealed to me, especially if you have water pokemon too. I wanted to choose Totodile but I think Freligator is so ugly! D: Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 See, for me it depends on what looks better as a starter. Like in Saphire, I chose fire because Blazeiken looks awsome. And in Diamond, I chose water because Piplup looks cool once he evolves. And for the grass thing, SS is correct. But grass also floats on top of water, making it better. Quote
-Ryan Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 What I really don't get is why flying types affect fighting types so much. And which do you guys like to do better? Have a full team of type balanced, equal-leveled pokemon or one pokemon so strong that type difference dosen't matter? I'm gonna get Heartgold and do that with a Totodile but with Soulsilver i'm balancing it. And now my team is: Blaze(Lvl 22 Quilava) Thorn(Lvl 21 Weepinbell) Hawk(Lvl 22 Pidgeotto) Pine(Lvl 20 Sudowoodo) Joker(Lvl 14 Drowzee) And soon i'm gonna add either Ditto, Togepi, or a legend. Currently outside Burnt Tower, just beat Rival after going in and staring at Suicune, Raikou, and Entei, wishing to catch them. I don't wanna go to 4th gym yet. Quote
Tyler. Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 dang it, my ds broke today I like having a balanced team, however when I first started playing pokemon games I always trained only one Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Balanced team. But like I said, lean more toward Steel, Dark and Dragon. Quote
Spritzie Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 After much begging, my husband just got me started playing Pokemon. He got us GBA and got me Fire Red and him the Green. It's actually a lot of fun. Quote
-Ryan Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Ooooh! What starter did you choose? :D I play my old D.S. games, migrate to PLatinum when I beat the game, then restart the old games again and migrate once more. Soon though i'm gonna transfer all my platinum pokemon to SS. Quote
Spritzie Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I started with Charmander. That's my favorite. We're eventually going to work our way up and get DS and such. But we started out easy. Quote
Domino Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 *highfive* I applaud your decision. 'Twas the wisest. Fire pokemon are obviously superior. Quote
Spritzie Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I always thought it was adorable. It's my favorite, and my strongest. I had it up to level 62 while the rest were all below 40. :laughingsmiley: Quote
Swim freak Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I dont really play pokemon sorry, but i really want to get Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days for DS and Zelda: Spirit Tracks also for DS :D Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I hate Kingdom Hearts, and I don't feel for Zelda. Quote
Theresa2 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Spritzie I agree I think Charmander is really cute I love the eyes I have a few others that I like I cant rember their names its been a long time since I played pokemon Quote
Spritzie Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I've always thought Charmander was one of the cutest. I never really paid attention to Pokemon, but my husband got a game guide to the Platinum version, and he showed me all the released Pokemon. I must say... there are a lot of really cute ones. Mine has really leveled now, so it's a Charizard now. Quote
