Unstream Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Haha yeah I guess. It's almost always gym though <_<. It's not that I'm not athletic, I'm just can't run at godly speeds like they expect us to to get an A. Quote
livvy Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 My gym coach last year had been in the army, and she made it known. She drilled us like we were going to war, and when we complained, she would give us this speech about how she was in the army and she wasn't afraid of a bunch of high school students. Sooo annoying. Oh, she also accused us of putting dents in a metal door with our fists. =P ~ Livvy Quote
Unstream Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Wow. She sounds harsh. Kinda glad that none of my gym teachers served in the army. Quote
livvy Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Yea. She was pretty tough. But I passed the class. *shrug* When she told us she'd been in the army and wasn't afraid of us, I really wanted to say "We're in high school. We're not afraid of you either." ~ Livvy Quote
Unstream Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Bahaha you definitely should have. It's sometimes fun to make fools of teachers when they try to act tough or cool. Quote
Stephé Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Then again you could get into serious trouble. I heard once a girl in my school was standing on a table and when the teacher came in she shouted out a bad word. She got a warning XD Quote
livvy Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Haha, so true, so true, Will. That brings up memories of my science class in 8th grade... *reminisces* My teacher was a total idiot, and my friend and I (who she never realized she should probably separate) would argue with her for the entire class period, and she would be so confused. It was mean... but soo funny! And the rest of the class used the time to drill holes in the table-top with a compass, or to randomly color on a piece of paper, or to do other homework, etc. It was quite fun. :P ~ Livvy Quote
Stephé Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Sometimes I feel so sorry for teachers. They have to cope with smug behaviour by small children and teens :P Quote
Unstream Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 But if the teachers are being a jerk, how are we students supposed to respect them? I respect my good teachers, and act crap towards teachers that suck. It's kinda the way it flows. Quote
livvy Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Meh, Stephanie's right. We do kind of abuse our teachers sometimes. But the teachers who deserve my respect, get my respect. Those who try to place themselves on a pedestal, or who know less than me but expect me to just accept the wrong answers, get grief. It got to the point that one teacher last semester told me that I really ticked her off (but not quite so nicely.) She had given us a ton of homework over the supposed Winter "Break", and... here's how it went down: Teacher: "That's not too much is it?" Me: "Yes, actually, it is a bit much." Teacher: *looks as though I've just said something really rude* "I could give you the whole chapter to read; would you like me to do that?" Me: "No, not particularly." Teacher: "Then stop complaining! You really piss me off!" Me: *deathglare* 'twas bad. I don't get angry often, but when I do... it's baaad... ~ Livvy Quote
Captain Awesome Pants Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Ah hah, I can usually get teachers to love me. Gym teachers can be hard though. My 5th grade math teacher didn't seem to like me, either. :/ Quote
livvy Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Oh, teachers usually love me. Doesn't always mean I love them. I usually get along okay though. ~ Livvy Quote
Unstream Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 WOOOHOOO STEELERS WON!!!!!!! Sorry I don't have time to stay on topic. My dad is yelling at me to get some sleep. G'night everyone! Quote
Ruto Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Meh, I only watch the Superbowl commercials. I don't watch the actual game. :P Quote
Revenge Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I watched everything. Don't remember much, though, and I just finished watching it! Quote
Ruto Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 xD Basically, it's all a bunch of men running over each other and fighting for a ball. That doesn't count as entertainment to me. =/ Quote
Captain Awesome Pants Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I went to an SB party... but I payed no attention to the tv. I had my attention set on soemthing else. XD No I'm kidding. I was just talking to my friend's brother. He's hysterical and had my sense of humor. Okay, I sound like an idiot right now I'm sure, but in Guitar Hero III, there are some guitars I REALLY want to use, but I found out they're basses. Is there anyway I CAN use them? Quote
Revenge Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 True, but it holds significance anyway. The 100 yard play was awesome, that was exciting. You could try using a hacking software, like Gameshark or Action Replay. Otherwise, no, they're only basses. Quote
Ruto Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Oh yeah, I heard my dad shouting, "HE WENT 100 YARDS!!!". So I guess I know a little of what happened. xP Quote

Like.... hmmm *goes and checks* I think Lady Shapes is a bass. And all these others I bought. Bah. Ticks me off, man. Quote
Revenge Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 It was just me and my dad watching. We were really quiet. He only gets excited if it's NE playing. I still think it was fun. There were some good plays. Bases (or basses?) are sweet. I love the deep sound they make. I might buy one and replace my guitar with it. Quote
Ruto Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 My dad gets excited over any football game. He usually shows his excitement by yelling. Quote
Revenge Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I nearly fell asleep during the second half. I enjoy watching the Super Bowl, but football isn't my thing. Plus I'm a really sleepy guy. Quote
Awesome_Paul Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Haven't been on here for awhile, but I thought I may pop in. Just like snow has visited England, not just light snow, heavy snow, Snow fully covers my foot (and my feet are quite big). Best bit is, it is going to get worse this afternoon (or in everyone viewwss better :D) Quote
ΩCCΩ Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I never saw snow, okay maybe once when I visited Iran when I was 6....I tried to melt it for water. I was cute *dreamy look* Quote
