antiaircraft Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Yup, cleaning and lubricating a fan can usually help to fix up a computer (especially if it's simply overheating). If that fails, it's often a good idea to clean off any accumulated dust on the inside, make sure all the components are attached tightly, check all the connectors, and remove any insects that have decided to take up residence inside (that happens waaay too often <_< ). Of course, it's a tad more complicated for a laptop... Quote
