Speaking of in-laws, I feel your pain, Spritzie. At least he waited until after it was over, but he spent the whole drive home talking about how unrealistic this and that was. I was really irritated because I absolutely loved the movie. And I'm one of those people that doesn't care how realistic, or unrealistic something is, if it makes for an entertaining book, movie, tv show, I'm all for it. Though my family tends to act in that way & I do have family in Colorado, so it is possible he's related to my family somehow. They all live around Aurora & Denver though . . . & I'm with you about being entertained, realistic or not. Don't know if anyone here has seen the movie "Bad Teacher" but we saw it at our college with some friends. One of them complained afterwards that, "I don't care if she's hot, no teacher would ever get away with all the stuff she did!" He's the only one outside of those 2 states. I guess I can understand it annoying some people, but I'd rather have something be more entertaining than be 100% factual or possible. While I am in no way a fan of Apple and despise the way it's taken over the world, on a human level it's very sad he died at a young age (56? As a Computer Sciences major, I respect Steve Jobs for what he did. But he didn't just impact us nerdy folks; he affected the average consumer. iPods and iPhones are everywhere these days.
