Naamah D. Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I cooked my very first breakfast all by myself about 15 minutes ago! I'm a little scared I undercooked the eggs though. Will I die from eating undercooked eggs?
Emily Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Lol. You should be fine. A lot of people like their eggs "runny" and they're fine. Good job! But beware, cooking is addictive!
Naamah D. Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Lol. You should be fine. A lot of people like their eggs "runny" and they're fine. Good job! But beware, cooking is addictive! I made a scrambled egg salsa and cheese wrap. It was actually really good. So thank you:)
Emily Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Sounds good. Scrambled eggs and avacado with onions in a wrap is good too :D
nbbug132 Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Eggs can, and in most parts of the world are, eaten raw. I know that countries in North America (especially the US) have rather lax inspection processes and unhealthy environments for the chickens. Therefore the rumor is spread that if you eat ANY raw egg you will get sick and die. It's simply not true. Can you get sick from raw eggs, yes you most certainly can. And it's the kind of sick you don't want to get. But generally speaking your chances are pretty low. So don't worry if you under-cook your eggs just a bit. Congrats on cooking for yourself as well! Keep taking baby steps and soon you'll be super-comfortable in the kitchen and turning out all sorts of delicious food. (:
xSummer Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 People used to drink raw eggs in the morning. A little runny is fine. Congrats and welcome to the world of cooking
Sweetdang Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Also if you hard boil your egg, you should know that you can NEVER over boil it. :P Your water can dry up and all that, but your egg can't get any more cooked than "solid" :P
Jacky Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 :D I like that one Sweetdang! :) Congrats on the first time cooking, It is pretty easy once you get the feel of times and spices and stuff. :)
