Secre
I'm not quite sure what it is you are trying to say...sorry... What are rogue avs? And isn't antivirus stuff good?
antiaircraft
I believe the original poster is referring to scareware, which is essentially a virus disguised as antivirus software, which a website then tries to trick you into installing. TNT seriously needs to tighten up on their advertising provider. <_<

Tedhaun
I came across this scareware over a month ago, and I wasn't happy at all. :sad01_anim: These things really "scare" you into thinking that you have a lot of virus when you clearly don't. I'm happy that my brother helped me on removing that rogue software. Here's another helpful guide for this. Also, don't click any advertisements on Neopets at all. I basically ignore those ads by the way.
antiaircraft
It's actually possible to get rid of the advertisements on Neopets altogether if you want. Check out the ad blocking tutorials on our site.
Guest Yoshinho
I know how to remove some scareware but it is a pain in the FILTEREDWORD to remove. I have to boot into safe mode (F8 while booting) delete all scareware files, remove registry entries regarding it. Run CCleaner then run advanced disk cleanup utility(built into windows computers) then restart and see what happens. Some of those nasty things remove after that, some don't.
