I finally had some spare time, so i printed off a list on excel of all the combos left (filling in the known ones), was about to go through every single one, and on the first attempt, i won! remo Posted December 11, 2006 Share Posted December 11, 2006 On the spreadsheet we weren't allowed to share the exact answer. And when we finally finished it we just left it where we were. We went through that group of combos once, and no one got it (probably because of cookies). Then we switched the order of the 1st 2 clues and went through ALL of those, still nothing. So we went back again and started going through the original clue order (by this point 2-3 people had found it). So what is left is really very narrowed down. And yes if you go through them all it will take time. But not nearly as long as those who worked on the spreadsheet spent on it. I know I worked on that spreadsheet for at least 8 hours yesterday, and on my own for a few hours Friday night. So while it's not the exact answer, it narrows it down and gives you far less combos than we went through, since many are already verified as wrong. Also rememebr you could have typed it in right already and had a cookie that held you up. I ended up switching browsers from IE to FireFox when going through another group a second time. And that's when it finally worked. So I may have had it correct hours earlier if it hadn't been for a stuck cookie. Which I'm sure that makes you all feel better because now you wonder if you already tried it right once, and got it wrong because of cookies. So if you are still trying to get it, clear your cookies, switch browers, whatever you need so it's not a cookie that is causing you to get it wrong all the time. o_O im looking at 1 spread sheet, has a green line across it but 3 moves are coverede by stars?? The stars mean that all combos have been tried of those stars. So each star is all 5 moves. I haven't looked at the spreadsheet yet today, but below that should be all the possible combos for what is in that line. Just start there and work your way down. You will get it. They're not covered, the stars mean "all possible options" which it says in the spreadsheet's key. We knew what the fifth option was because we knew what section Angel was working in when she got it. That way we only had three options left as far as variables, so we started working through them. It's VASTLY narrowed down for you...if you're looking at it the right way. (Think about it...that's really all I can say... =/) Also, COOKIES! Make sure they are cleared! My favorite thing is how Samuel opened the board, gave us a hint, and then promptly abandoned us for the rest of the day (except to warn those of us in the spreadsheet, which may or may not have been him). P.S. Hi Remo, it feels like we are old friends XD EDIT: The updated list of people (from those who've posted), roughly in order, is as follows: Isabel, Samata, Penguin, Angel, Remo, Sylvi, Salem, Kwomais, Ronnie, DarkSun, Priory, Matchu, MomofLauralei, Jim Sirch, and Wyld Chyld. It was Samuel in the spreadsheet. And you guys had problems with your cookies? I didn't... strange... I was watching the spreadsheet after I beat him yesterday and I saw you go past the right combination, but I wasn't allowed to say anything. It was so annoying that I couldn't say you'd missed it, I went out so I wouldn't be tempted :D Well, at least you got there in the end right?
