Zimmerchild
EUREKA! You've found it. You've found the treasure of the Lost City of Geraptiku. People you've met once will now be writing to you asking to borrow Neopoints. It's every Neopian's dream. You search through the treasure and take back what you can carry. Zafie
You slowly make your way through the opening and into the awaiting darkness. The door slams shut behind you. How unexpected. --- It's been two days. You don't quite know how, but you've managed to elude many of the traps mysteriously strewn around this tomb. Maybe it's a good thing you're so clumsy. You happen upon a flight of stairs that leads down into the darkness. It seems to go on forever, but you finally reach the very bottom and enter the dimly lit room you find there. FIDDLESTICKS! You yell out in disappointment. This room is the treasure chamber you've been looking for but you discover that someone has gotten to the treasure before you. You could devote the rest of your life to finding this person and writing them a stern letter, but you have to get out of here first. rayuela

How unexpected. --- You've been here for quite a while now. You don't know how many days exactly, but you know you've passed that same carving at least 14 times. Exhausted, you decide to take a break and sit down for a while. EEP! What in the world was that? You look down to discover you'd planted yourself right on top of a Petpet. Poor thing. You wonder how it got here. Wait a tick! What's that under the Petpet? You shoo the little critter away and open the small box that almost escaped your notice. It's no massive treasure, but it's better than nothing. With all you've been through, you decide it's best to quit while you're ahead and you quickly make for an exit. Could this be the location of the treasure? *RAWR* ME HUNGRY! That's definitely no treasure. A giant monster leaps out from the darkness and begins chasing you, all the while thinking about the best way to cook you for dinner. You should probably continue running. How unexpected. --- You've never seen so many traps in your life. Seriously. Someone must really not want you to be here. You wonder how many traps there really are, and who put them here. OH NO! And, while you were thinking that and not paying attention, you set off another one. You watch as the arrows fly right at you, but luckily Edefy was paying attention and pushes you out of the way just in time. But while you're safe, Edefy suffers a bit of damage and loses some HP. rayuela
Does anyone know if you're any more likely to get the prize earlier in the day / close to midnight NST? I've been getting to an empty treasure room five days in a row...

I've been getting to an empty treasure room five days in a row... Oh! I don't know, interesting theory! I've never seen any chatter about that, normally there'd be some kind of myth in place if enough people think something like this happens, wouldn't there, but I've never heard anything like that. What someone did say, on here I think, is that only one person per day can win the treasure, that doesn't seem at all realistic but that's clearly an existing rumour. I've won it twice in one week, if only one person per day could win it the chances of me winning twice within a few days would be infinitesimal. Plus it's just mean, and that's not old school TNT's style. rayuela
rayuela
Well, my theory was based on the assumption that only one person, or at least a limited number of people can win the treasure. You're probably right that TNT wouldn't do a daily where only one person can win the jackpot per day and have the jackpot be 1-3k plus a codestone. I haven't had any luck with Geraptiku at all, though! I only won the treasure once years ago. I'd have desisted by now, but I really want the avatar . jellysundae

I guess only a limited amount of people can win, but only because your chance of actually getting to the treasure chamber is small. Would be interesting to know if it IS a 50/50 chance of winning once you're in that room. I'd imagine not, but it IS a bit of a piffling amount to win when the chance of actually winning is so small, isn't it. I got the avatar without even realising! It was one of those stealth ones that didn't tell me I'd won it. I gave up visiting once I realised that everything apart from the treasure prize is r.101 stuff, but I do it again now. Seems the bit of my brain in charge of thinking about Charity Corner hoarding is currently over-ruling all others! How unexpected. --- The tomb presents you with quite a challenge over the next few days. Luckily, you've brought plenty of provisions and have cleverly made your way through every trap you've come across. Your mum would be proud. Finally, after decyphering all the secrets of the tomb, you're led to the treasure chamber. EUREKA! You've found it. You've found the treasure of the Lost City of Geraptiku. jellysundae
Now let's see if I can win and disprove the theory! lol. Though it's into the next Neopian day now so it won't actually prove a thing. OH NO! Huh! FINE, FINE, I'M LEAVING! I guess the tomb doesn't want me trying to reveal its secrets! rayuela
