lovedwallflower
NC mall items can't be sold for Neopoints, so they have absolutely NO value in the Neopian economy. (We certainly don't want someone to be able to, in effect, purchase Neopoints with real cash.) given this statement from the editorial, do you think its a reportable and freezable offense to ask someone to buy an item of NC cash for you and offer to pay them back with a NP item? I realise that this is what it probably means.. i just want to check as nc mall is unavailable in my country and i have my heart set on this perfect trinket .. im in denial :P
Viridian
I think that is indeed not allowed. However in case of the mall being not available I do think it's a bit... evil
Xepha
There are people who give away NC items to people who can't access the NC Mall... So hang out with them on the neoboards and you never know :P Annieji
lovedwallflower
yeah but im guessing asking them to do me a favour would get me reported :( oh well, doesnt matter :)
Caly
NC Mall chatboard usually unavailable to those without access to the NC Mall... as in, the whole 'I'm sorry, it's not available in your country even though it was like 2 years ago, yadda, yadda, yadda' For me, if I don't use a proxy, my location usually renders the board invisible so... umm... yeah
Ashbash
I think people should be able to do what they want with their neocash items. If they want to give them to someone they should be able to, it's theirs. Annieji
Spritzie
I agree. I wish they gave out more free gift boxes... though they make more money, by making people buy gift boxes.
lovedwallflower
I agree. I wish they gave out more free gift boxes... though they make more money, by making people buy gift boxes. yes but free gift boxes are still useless to people who cant access nc mall.. I just submitted this question to the editorial: Hello TNT :) Every time I try to access the NC Mall i get this message: Error: Oops! The NC Mall is not currently available in your country. Please check back soon. When will NC mall be available worldwide? A lot of people want this to happen soon. And is it ok for people who cannot purchase NC mall items to trade NP for NC items they reaaally want? Thanks.
Divya Bean
That is great! I have a friend who lives in a country where it is not there, and she is will be so happy that you did that! I myself live in US, so it doesnt really matter to me. I'm still kind of sad, because my parents don't let me get the nc cash, but whatever. At least I can still get the free stuff! idriya
Using NP to buy NC Mall items, would be essentially "buying" Neopoints, which gives paying users an unfair advantage. So yes, it's definitely a freezable offense. Kind of the same idea as the Daily Dare last year, where people could sell Lulu's prizes. There was a huge uproar over that iirc. Secre
I think you've done the right thing in sending in the question to the people who actually know the answer...I would think it was against the rules, even if it's not I'd be very careful.
