Luckily I read these posts first because the pattern I found gave me a number well above the range given, so I just halved it, and it happened to be right. I got it right and I don't really understand why, lol. Still stumped by #4 though. I think I'm going to go give an anagram solver a workout... Quote

Well its not an issue of being willing its an issue of not knowing the answer I dont think that anyone has gotten it right as of yet besides staff. This one will be the deal breaker for many I believe. I think that very few people are actually going to get it right.. Now that I have figured out todays it is back to pulling my hair out with day fours...... If and that is a really big IF I figure it out Ill let you know. Good Luck everyone with puzzle 4. You've completely stumped me with these puzzles. My stats: #1 Frozen. I totally screwed it up I wasn't even thinking about it or caring about it. #2 2/3. I just don't see what this can pertain to. #3 Solved. This one was TOO easy. #4 2/3. I got a few with pretty much made up words lol #5 1/3. I averaged a 99 in math in high school... WHY can't I get this?? Quote

Stephé Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 So what exactly do you people mean by overthinking? Some people take it as thinking of complicated strategies. But personally i thing of it as the way you think. Even though you're good at maths doesn't mean you are good at problem solving which is what i hate even though i'm in a year 7 extension maths class. If you can't get the answer, for number 5 especially write down your answers and working so far. See what works and doesn't and go from there. That's how I solved number 5, and i guess number 1 too... I hope that helps to solve number 5 especially and many more puzzles to come! Quote

I still have the 150 nc I got for... signing up... or something... I don't remember what I did to get it but I got it and I don't really care. But I'm good at puzzles and love puzzles but it is really annoying to not understand the puzzle. As far as being on these forums, I just signed up for it. I didn't know much about it and just came to the dailies page. I have been playing neopets since I was in 9th grade which was in 2000. I got my mom addicted to if FINALLY after showing her that there were the slots on there lol... she is a casino person and goes to casinos all the time. She comes here to tdn too. Anyway, for the 5th puzzle I have come up with a few answers and none of them are between 40 and 80. Blah... Quote

You dont' really need a calculator. Just to recall your attempts and fixing them. Is this advice worth reporting? I don't know but I think it isn't. Quote
