what are the pros and cons to stealing weapons? do I keep the stolen weapons after the battle has ended? because if it works that way then 200k is a cheap price to pay for that robe :P

More likely those pictures are a part of her guild's internal competitions. amirite? find-the-pet and mystery pic or variations of those.

i like to hoard what I get from restocking :D They're all in my shop, ridiculously overpriced, or in my gallery if theyre 50k+.
I don't like hoarding a lot of money on hand or in the bank; I find it really difficult to spend money when I've hoarded a sizable amount in the bank, so instead I invest my money in items :P

Can I be lent the grey pet? I'd be willing to put up full moon fever (approx 2million on TP) as collat. If you prefer something more ETS than a book then I have a couple of PB's, combined value approx. 400k, plus two lab map pieces, combined value approx 200k.
EDIT: oops sorry, I should've read more thoroughly.

I dont know what that link is supposed to contain.

I don't think they care if you cross-browse. You're still on the same IP and therefore as far as they're concerned, you aren't doing anything differently.

I'm on mission 4 battle 2. so far the only strategy I use is simply move my units up past the villages as quickly as I can while maximizing the loot-grab. I dont know what you usually do but skeiths do a good job being the vanguard; you just teleport it up as far as you need to on the first turn, and heal using grundo as needed for the next few turns until the rest of your units catch up.

^ what happens if you had a pteri?
Welcome to my little hut. Ahh, I guess you came here to have your fortune told, eh? Well... here it is...
You will be attacked by an army of radioactive Kyries.

I was looking at the DoN guide on battlepedia, and for every opponent it lists the recommended stats your pet should be at, except for movement. Can someone clarify to me - is agility worth upgrading? what does it affect in battle?

Im having problems too, but with neopets in general not just key quest. the server randomly times out on me, particularly during key quest games or when im restocking =/ I get page load errors for a minute, then i refresh and everything is A-okay again. I'm 99% sure it isnt my internet because when neopets is down I can load just about any other website.
Anyone else experiencing this?

A rather dashing Chia drops by and hands you: School Girl Hat. What a nice fellow! You should put it on to show your thanks.
18k baby!!

people telling me I can't do something motivates me to prove them wrong. It doesn't always result in success but at least I can sleep at night knowing I tried.
Money is a pretty big incentive for me as well.

feed my pets? blasphemy!
haha I use the healing springs mainly. She makes them bloated frequently enough that my zafara never gets below "not hungry".
I've also fed him a few genius neggs just to get the books inside :P

In all fairness the book you sold for that HTS is probably not very ETS either (ridiculously priced books don't usually sell off that quickly), so all in all you probably came out at least even (if not ahead).

retired items, especially consumables like books and foods and stamps, always appreciate in value (some slower than others, depending on demand, functionality, and existing supply).
one-off prizes will always appreciate in value as well.
with most other things it's a matter of guesswork and experience, i find.

my first two gold keys (ever) yielded striped and camo pb's, respectively. so yeah youre just having a lucky streak.
-
good call on the depreciation. I'll see if i can make a quick sale in my shop.
-
sorry, my memory was faulty. the book is called basic design.

I'm only 2 months old!!!!! (on this account anyways :P)

you've got some books whizzing your way. no worries about paying me - theyre just rotting in my SDB.
EDIT: there's too many and I'm lazy, so if you wouldn't mind check out my trades and just bid junk on them. it'll save us both a lot of time.
DOUBLE EDIT: I have to free up space in my inventory. give me a PM or a neomail when you're ready, cooger.

I think neopets has done an excellent job thus far in making sure NC cash doesnt become a substitute for neopoints.
A) they made NC items unique, untrade-able, and strictly for aesthetics (they dont have any extra functions)
b) they made a real effort to prevent users from abusing the existence of NC cash and making money from it, even though letting that happen would definitely generate more revenue for TNT.
for the above reasons, I dont feel like the existence of NC mall has made neopets any more commercialized than it was before. you're absolutely free to buy NC cash, or not. the only thing you miss out on without NC cash is aesthetic items, which to be honest we only ever get, both in neopets and in real life, when we have the money to waste anyways.

I restocked a book last night called Basic Defence. It's only rarity 81, didn't even get 2500 pricing in the main bookshop, but the lowest I found on TP was for 110k O.o
anyone know anything about this? I'm debating whether to sell it quickly before the prices go down, but before I do I want to know if there's anything special about this book that makes it so valuable.

how much capital do you have? capital isnt how much money you have; capital is the amount of money you have that you're willing to invest into restocking. if the answer to that question is more than 200k, then restock away!. if you dont have 200k/cant afford to invest 200k into restocking, then i suggest you find a way to make that 200k. it's really hard to get into restocking without a significant capital, because after the first few days you realize you've burnt through 50k and you havent made a penny to show for it. then you end up geting frustrated and you're then traumatized about restocking for the rest of your life. not a happy ending.
book shops are a great starting point for restockers. they're usually not tooooooo crowded with restockers (there's rarely any unbuyables that are restocked there)and even during peka hours youre likely to be able to nab a few things because they restock in large quantities. it's also fariyl simple to figure out the "valuable" books from the non-valuable books just from the thumbnail graphic.
stamps are also great profit-wise. collectable cards yield significantly lower profits and there's less demand for them, but its a great practicing ground for restocking.
hope that helps!
EDIT: i should warn you i'm not a bona fide restocker though. 99% of the things in my gallery/shop are restocked from the neopian shops but I dont restock for the purpose of making quick sales - I collect and hoard.
-
I can sympathize. keyquest is the bane of all restockers and hoarders out there :(
on the other hand, i'm willing to bet TNT is going to switch out prizes every few months or so (I havent seen some of the KQ prizes from november in a while), which means key quest also gives a great chance for people to hoard cheap items for tremendous profit margins later on. that's what I'm counting on.
Gallery Items

Not to be offensive (your items are probably way more valuable than mine) but there are so many players out there with crazy ballin' (read: insanely expensive and valuable/rare) galleries that I don't think you need to worry too much.
Plus, scammers are usually pretty obvious and as long as you keep up a rudimentary guard while playing you should be okay.
