restocking the food shop's actually not too bad. my best restocking times are between 1am and 4am NST - traffic is usually super low around those times and there have been times where I fumbled with the keyboard, forgot to refresh, misclicked, etc and still snagged a medium profit item. Even if you don't get the gourmet stuff, at least you can use the profit from restocking uncommon foods towards buying gourmets.

i earn around 35k a day from games, probably net a profit of 20-30k a day from occasional restocking (unless i have a lot of time that day, then that figure is more like 60-100k), and maybe around 5-10k pure from keyquest, not counting the value of the item prizes?

but that's pretty much only possible on weekends or holidays. more typically I probably just get a solid 25k from games and dailies and tend to my RL for the rest of the day.

Dont quite remember when i hit 1million, but I've been playing a combined 8 months on this account (excluding a long hiatus) and I've accumulated around 1.8m pure and probably around 10m in items.

If I were you I'd just hoard it in the gallery and keep it in the back of your head so if one day demand for the negg suddenly spikes you'll recognize the opportunity right away.

I guess it comes down to how urgently you need the income... If it's not urgent then just hoard and wait for the right time :D It's always nice to have a UB like that in the gallery anyhow.

Keep it. They told you to take good care of it, so it obviously didn't bother them that much that you got the kau. No sense in beating yourself up for clicking fast.

Would anyone be interested in helping me out with graphics and coding and such? I'm not the most active player around (an hour or two a day) so in terms of time commitment it would be super flexible. you'd get lots of autonomy in terms of how things will look, and of course you'd get all the credit!

I'm not sure if this is allowed by TNT, but if it is I'd be happy to give honorariums (in neopoints obviously) and I do have some pretty valuable items i'd be willing to part with for some help in this area.

@linda: yeah you're right half those ideas won't make the final cut. I'd rather have a few quality categories than a bunch of generic ones. Do you have any ideas on items, etc I can put for haunted house?

@Cassie: souvenirs sound cool. Know any semi-valuable souvenir-type items I could put in that category?

Just to clarify, I'm not looking for quantity over quality. I'm the kind of person who's always looking ahead, so anything that would give me an excuse to invest in items of value or items that would appreciate in value would be preferable to just spending my money on 100 junk items and making 15 categories for them.

My endgoal is to hopefully win the gallery spotlight, so I do look for quality :)

I'm starting a new gallery project.

The premise? an amusement park. each category will represent a ride or an attraction (or even just a ticket booth) and will be linked to on a visual map of the park (sort of like how the neopian shops operate currently).

My ideas so far:

• Ticket Booth - a collection of tickets and other related things
  
• Newspaper Stand/Waiting Area - benches, reading materials, anything you would find in a waiting/meeting area
  
• Arcade
  
• Haunted House
  
• Petting Zoo
  
• Snack Bar
  
• Creepy Stuff - fortune tellers, weird snacks, etc
  
• Barf Zone
  
• House of Mirrors
  
• Bandstand
  

The names of the categories are lame right now, but they will be made unique when the gallery is finally launched.

What you can do to help: suggest new attractions/rides, relevant items, tips and tricks (if you're a long time gallery keeper). This is the biggest project I've undertaken. ever. So I will take all the help I can get from the nice folks here.

Will I take donations? Absolutely, after I let you think about it for a week. I don't want people parting with stuff they'll regret not having in a week's time. Let me know if there's anything sitting around your SDB that you feel could really contribute to my amusement park, and take a week to mull it over. if you still want to contribute in a week's time, I'll be more than happy to take it off your hands!

All ideas, contributions, etc will be credited one way or another within my gallery.

I remember you by your neopets username! Great to see some people stuck around all this time, but kind of depressing to see my 130 avatars is now pretty subpar to the average neopian :(

anyways, it's kind of hilarious to come back to your account and finding 400k in the shop till - i feel like if i'm gone long enough all the overpriced stuff in my shop will be bought up and i'd be a billionaire.

None of you probably remember me, but I was around pretty frequently half a year or so ago, then all of a sudden stopped coming. Being a pretty busybody business student, I go through neopets phases every once in a while, and then stop as quickly as I start. Either way, I'm glad to be back (for now) and to have gained back access to my account (guessed my birthdate right! woohoo!)

no offense, but that lot is worth around 18k tops on shop wizard (I didn't even refresh when i price-checked, i just took the first lowest price i saw). maybe you should lower your expectations a little?

this happens every 3rd of the month.

you'll probably dominate me at mini games though chaotic. my computer is alright but sometimes during mini games it just freezes =/ next thing i see is a screen saying my opponent won the mini game haha

Im starting to think the prizes are randomized, otherwise once we find out the correct combo for the ribbon necklace wouldnt everyone just get that?

folks, this was TNT's intention from the start - to overload the servers so they know just how much weight their servers could take at the same time. Our failure = TNT's success.

It's not so much favorism as it is convenience for them. The purpose of enticing people to play the game at a specific time range is for them to test how much bandwidth load the game can take at a time. They can hardly monitor the results of the test if they schedule it for 3 pm Australian time, which would be just before dawn for California (I think).

endurance = HP. each endurance course only ups your HP by a measly 1 point though.

there's no real benefits and problems with each type - they're just 2 different things. I like classic neohomes better because they dont take hours to load, and I like the new neohomes because they look spiffier.

I think the only way to remove your classic neohome is by demolishing it.

I say just keep it; some avatars need you to have a classic neohome (e.g. ROBO)
