All joking aside, it's nice to have you here. I kinda gave up getting avatars, I mainly focus on NP earning now.

Yeah, but I also feel like the price will fluctuate more as the influx of items hit the stores. Based on demand alone, I think the stamp will end up being the best. There's gonna be more stamp collectors out there than people wanting a specific wearable. Then again, I had a wearable item worth 16 million NPs at one point (but that was from Altador Cup, and it was way more expensive than the other prize items).

Really, I think the smart move for me right now is to wait and let the market settle.

I may be a bit biased cause it's on my lookup, but I really like the Meerca Chase II gold trophy. Very shiny and simple.

Okay, now I'm curious. I ragged on the Mystery Capsules a lot, but I wanna open a few.

Ahahaha I should've guessed I'd get worthless items. I got too cocky after I opened those goodie bags earlier. I opened 3 capsules and the most valuable thing is worth 3500 NP

It's whatever, 500 of those 1200 points were free anyway. Trying to be less frustrated about this whole thing, even if it's been a mess of an event.

I'll probably save the rest of the points for whatever becomes valuable. Probably the stamp, cause they're usually higher demand than a background or weapon.

That honestly went better than I expected it to. Feels good to make up for all those now useless Sticky Snowballs I purchased... Time to price this stuff and put them in my shop!

I remember the last Charity Corner when the website was frequently down and there was no checkboxes for the first half. At the time, I didn't know how it could get worse. Silly, naive past Mystery. I've never seen damage control on a live event before.

I've found the same item in the regular shop wizard for 270k and someone selling 2 of them for 272k. If you want it to sell, you may need to adjust the price.

Neopets should make an item that lets you change the name of your Neopet. That would be so awesome. Then some of those awful named pound pets might get some love.

Is anyone really surprised at this point that a Neopets feature isn't working properly? Cause I sure as heck aren't. You know, I said in my initial post in this thread that the 500 point bonus was a nice touch, and they even managed to screw that up.

That's a well-written statement, but they still neglected to mention the people who wasted their shop points by buying items early. The problem is the statement should've been sent out publicly much further in advance, especially the bit about sticky snowballs and it being a prize shop. They had to have been planning this new twist on the event way back, but only made the statement about it until the event started. The 500 free shop points is a nice touch, I will admit. I just hope they do something about the initial buyers who got no discount. I feel bad for them.

Why do they not announce anything? Why does everything feel like they're rushing it out? They had well over a year to prepare this event, and they knew that the fanbase looks forward to this. They screwed themselves financially by neglecting their fanbase cause now they're cancelling their memberships, and now the staff is lowering prices of stuff in the prize shop to soften the blow of this catastrophic trainwreck of an event. I just... can't fathom their decision-making. It makes zero sense. If they have any sympathy whatsoever, they'll refund the prize points. But honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't. My expectations of them are at an all-time low.

I'm not even gonna waste my time donating for this prize shop.  14 measly items, and THREE of them are re-skinned Mystery capsules that are basically worthless. Feels bad having "Mystery" attached to something so lame considering it's my username.

This almost feels like an April Fools joke in September.

You know, I'm glad so many people are cancelling their memberships. Maybe it will trigger some sort of response from the staff. Maybe they will try to undo some of the damage.

I agree, lack of communication is one of the worst parts, but they should've realized this by now; it's a mistake they've repeated countless times.

You're completely misunderstanding why I'm upset then. They threw a curveball without telling anyone. It has nothing to do with acting entitled, it's literally JumpStart's fault because they just pooped out this prize shop without announcing it. And can you HONESTLY say that this prize shop is good? It's one of the most half-assed things I've seen them put out. They didn't even announce what it was gonna be, they just said "Charity Corner is coming soon!" People didn't expect anything to change because they didn't announce anything was gonna change! They're not staying open with their fanbase, and it shows. They had over a year to announce these changes and put the event together. I could live with the crappy prize shop, as long as I knew it was gonna be a prize shop. They left everyone in the dark, which caused people to prepare for it in the wrong ways. I think it's justifiable to be upset over that.

The prize shop is an utter joke, they don't announce ANY forewarning about the changes WHATSOEVER, like COME ON! It's like they get pleasure in punishing and/or riling up their own fanbase. I can't wrap my head around their decision making. Just when I think "Oh, I should give them the benefit of the doubt" and come back to Neopets, they royally screw us yet again. Yeah, well I'll find my entertainment elsewhere. I'm done.
