I think many people are put off by this new activity. however, prices seem to be deflating a bit today (although I still feel for those poor souls who are still in need of a gelert in the box, yikes!). I know they lowered the items required from up to 5 items to only 3 and added some new items. Good intentions, but not so great results. I'm surprised how expensive everything became, and so fast!
but on a positive note: there are many people willing to lend a hand who may or may not have many of said items hoarded in their inventory ;)

When I graduated 8th grade, my grandma gave me a ring she had received for her 8th grade graduation back in the early 1950's.



I absolutely love it and wear it every day. I didn't graduate high school, getting my GED instead, but this May I will graduate college with a two-year degree. To celebrate that (as well as to celebrate getting my first job), my grandma sent me this.



The ring and bracelet are silver, and belonged to her mother. The ring fits perfectly, which surprised me as I have small fingers (the other one was resized before it was given to me).

I don't mean to brag, I'm just really excited to have gotten such a wonderful gift. :)

I think it is a great way to clear up server space. It provides less things to be kept track of.

I'm not sure I follow what you mean? I think this event was a great idea to try and minimize the amount of rubbish that's floating about, it just got a bit out of control due to opportunists which isn't really fair. Buying up items and inflating the prices are against the rules, it's their job to sort that out and make sure that everyone can participate. Neopets is a business and if things like this continue to happen, people will stop playing, and Neopets will cease to exist.

I don't think TNT thought about this too much, this might've been a good idea to clean up Neopia, but it also causes serious inflation.

Thanks, nikie. That's what my gut was telling me. I thought it was odd that it seemed like I could send a neomail to my opponent, and I was actually glad that the warning was incorrect and that you can't neomail them.
 
I guess the question remains, how would you contact someone (of age) you have a legitimate reason to contact (e.g., to contact them about a trade or multiplayer challenge), who has neomails blocked for non-neofriends? Send them a NF request, and leave a message for them on your look-up? Send them a specific item? Just forget about it?

As both a parent and a long time neopets player I will answer this question. DO NOT attempt to contact an underage player. I understand wanting to complete tasks and games on neopets. But it is only a game. The Neopets team has age restrictions for a reason. To protect our children. As a parent I can tell you that no matter what your reason might be for wanting to contact the underage player, it is inappropriate. Parents depend on the protection that the neopets team has put into place to protect our children from internet predators NEVER attempt to circumvent those safe guards..
