  1. That is why I said 'not necessarily' instead of 'never'. Tobacco is by its nature harmful - every single puff. Alcohol can be used in moderation to no ill effect. Obviously alcohol should not be used in conjunction with vehicles.

  2. At least with alcohol you are not necessarily harming others, and it actually has a benefit - some health benefits, and it tastes good. Smoking has no health benefits, and it harms people. I don't mind if people are suicidal, so long as they aren't killing me as well.

  3. I know for example in Portugal, drinking is treated much more casually, so my Portuguese friend almost never bothers to drink. Generally in European countries they are much more lax. I was just making sure, Viridian. I find that a lot of people promise never to drink when they're 15 or so, and then do anyway. At 17 this claim is more respectable.

  4. I'm referring to those who are waiting longer based not on law, but their own opinion. I don't think that upping the age helps. If you're given alcohol from a young age, you tend to abuse it less. It's not a taboo, and you know how to handle it. Teenagers will always do stupid crap, but by removing stupid taboos we can make sure they're properly educated, and they can do it safely in their homes instead of on the streets, 'cause I assure you the legal limit isn't stopping anyone.

  5. I do the exact same thing as Masaryk. Don't expect to start making money in a short time. It's a very long term investment, so don't pay any more attention than buying and checking. If you ever take a really long break, you'll come back and make a lot of money if you've invested enough. If you look every day you'll be disappointed.
