I did have that gut-reaction frisson on seeing I had a message from TNT this morning. I'm all "oh no, what have I done?! " and opened my inbox with trepidation, but phew! Yay, I'd not commited some terrible crime after all! Wait, this neomail... "when you go to Neopets next"... huh?? Is my inbox confused as to where it is? Right now I appear to be unable to edit The Runway thread to show the winners. Not sure what's wrong, but the editor is extremely slow, and it's now failed to save all my edits 2 times. I will continue to try and get it done, but I wanted to post next week's theme anyway, because there's a good chance I won't be able to post the results today. @jellysundae So sorry to hear that with the delivery problems. I think I'm probably having a bit of a similar problem of my own. Being the child of immigrant parents, I have a very different palate than them (Westernized). My mom is the one doing grocery runs but she doesn't quite know the western food I like. I've been trying for over a week now to put my Amazon Fresh order down but it won't let me as there are no delivery slots. Being partially blind and visually impaired now this is the much easier option than going to the store with my mom (and she is refusing). I mean, that isn't the only reason I want to go with her, Asian Americans are getting racist attacks, and I don't think people usually want to mess with cane girl as I have a weapon in hand, despite not being able to see too well (the canes been a good social distancing tool too). But still my mom insists I don't follow because I'll slow her down. It's really sad what it's become, as a Chinese American, I've been keeping an electric stun weapon in my pocket in case some racist tried something. I used to feel pretty safe in California, but not currently...

It was a position testing a digital document acceptance system at IBM. Kinda uneventful, but it paid well, so I'm happy for that. I feel ya - I was hoping to get back to university this year but with the pandemic going on I'm not sure how that'll work out

@jellysundae I definitely think it would be worthwhile calling customer service of your supermarket and telling them your situation. I'd call the higher-up customer service though, like corporate as they may even be able to get you in for a delivery slot again. I know here (Aus), they've cancelled all home deliveries for the time being and are redirecting their services to people who actually can't leave the house very easily, or are fully quarantined, and you can apply to receive home delivery. It may also be worth looking about online or on fb if you use that, for people who will pick up groceries for you. I know there's a bunch of those neighbourhood cards going around where someone near you can pick things up and bring them to your house for you.

Thank you *hugs* My mum will do what she can, but it's not at all practical for a bunch of reasons, and with no guarantee of there being anything on the shelves. I just need to suck it up and get myself out there. I am looking at shopping trolleys on ebay right now - I want a cute one :3 - I wonder how long people will be allowed to use them though, after what @Mouseykins said about Canada and re-useable bags. I'm hoping that tomorrow I'll be able to get myself out - i have some filter cartridges at the store to collect - and ask someone in the store about what I need to do to be able to visit the store during those hours set aside for the more vulnerable. I suppose I really should try calling customer service of my regular supermarket and explaining my situation. I'd not be expecting them to be able to do anything about it, but the more people who contact them about this the quicker they'll expand the available deliver slot, or actually give people priority. Maybe when she sees her sis enjoying it it might motivate her to like it more as she'll feel she's missing out? Or get competitive over praise, lol. Is there stuff you can do, maybe practical stuff, where they're learning together/ helping each other, anything like that? I know that might not be realistic because of the age difference.

The creepy Kookith shoos you away and appears quite angry, so you hightail it out of there before he shoots some miniature laser beam at you or something. x2!
