I thought it would never happen...

Thank you everyone. I had two challenges when I woke up, and I accepted one and now that I've returned home (went to the college my dad works at because I was bored) I see I have the avatar. I didn't copy the username of the person I battled, but thank you so much!

I think you misunderstood that post. When I said I had been a lurker and shy about posting I meant back in 2013 when I 1st joining TDN's forums. After I had been a member for a long while I posted regularly and then changes where made on TDN and my account got lost so I couldn't post. I kept getting messages saying to create an account when I would try to respond or post. I did not want to start over as a new member since my status was Super Member. and I was a regular poster. I sent several messages to moderators trying to recover my account. I was finally directed to someone that was able to help me and reinstate my account!. I was very grateful for that. That's when I posted the message that I was back and happy to be back. I had been away for several months and missed everyone. All is right and good now though I just wouldn't want to go through that again. OK weird things are happening! I open the SSW before I clicked on today's quest. It was for the Fire faerie. So, she asked for Alchemy Experimenter and being the slick player I am I put that into the search box only to be told.. your on a quest and can't use the SSW. Is it exclusive to the Shop Wizard only? So, I went to JN to get an idea of what type of item this is and maybe a shop to find it. JN had no record of this item. I decided to move on and do my dailies and try to figure things out. I went to Trudy and when I opened that page it had reset to 25/7, yesterday I was at 11/3. It told me to come back tomorrow that I had already spun today. No, I haven't and the message is at the top of the page saying Trudy waits for me (you know the 1, top left corner of the page your viewing) So, I go back to a different page and refresh and the Trudy notice is still at the top. I tried to open Trudy from the neomail and it says come back tomorrow 25/7. So, after all this I'm going to have to ask for help again today if someone would be so kind I would really appreciate it and thank you. Now on a lighter note... today is the day that Hubby and I got married, 35 years ago! Not doing anything special today. My birthday is this coming Saturday and we'll do something for both probably on that day. If it's nice he'll get the Harley out and take me for a nice long ride to unwind. Looking forward to it. Going to be 62 if anyone is wondering. LOL

This is probably the DST glitch. Everyone is having the same problem. It says we already spun Trudy's while we haven't and even though the message on top is there to spin. Chances are we'll all get reset tomorrow to day one for "missing a day" So far for the Daily Faerie Quests, I've been lucky. Not really expensive items requested yet and had a FFQ for a few measly NP. My fire faerie quest today was the most expensive so far and that was only 5k NP

@berriganify I forgot to reply to your answer because of the downtime of TDN. That seems like a beautiful journey! I mentioned it because there are many people that are unaware of the existence of that project so it's always nice to mention it when people dream of such rare colors! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Poogle getting stronger! They changed the items the faeries ask for. Whereas in the past the elemental faeries would only ask for common items of rarity 69 and under, now they can ask for r90+ items. Naturally, greedy players saw this as an opportunity to buy these already rare items, hoard them, and increase their prices (and we're not talking about just a few thousand neopoints). In previous years their plan probably wouldn't have worked, but since this year you have to complete all daily quests in order to receive the final bonus prize, it all worked out in their favour. It's not the first time something like this happens. JS should know better by now.

I never refresh the quest page after getting a quest- I always close it and click the link again because I've lost quests in the past the same way you did. In my case, they never returned. I don't know why it happens, but it does. Congrats for your quest coming back :)
