(( I'm thinking of making his mother a fertility god? Demeter or Aphrodite?

The asteroid thing, that's what I was thinking too, but then I realized what Levy said, and changed it to him sensing AA))

"His fight must hurry"

Floaro looked around him, he could sense a large body of land coming fast. He couldn't understand why he could sense this. His mother was unknown to him though.

((From this I figure you meant a land mass (asteroid). With an unknown mother. (Mother other than mother Earth)

Atleast that's what I figure, sorry for interupting. Continue with the story. *sweatdrop*))

Floaro approached a pool of water, this would take some energy, but it needed to be done, he moved the water in the air to make a rainbow, he threw a Golden Drachma into the rainbow " Poseidon, Matamos" he said, his father appeared in the rainbow, " Father, I am needed to save the Earth, I do not know what from, or why I have been chosen, but when I return..." Floaro said. " I understand son, go now be with your people, you will be a great hero, the oracle told me that-"

Floaro stopped the spray of water, he did not want to hear what the oracle had said, it would be to much for him to bear.

((Sorry everyone. I sometimes forget how fast this roleplay moves.

And, I deliberately chose a bit before the end of the dinosaurs. I want absolutely nothing to do with the asteroid hitting.))

Echo didn't need to look behind. He knew the T-Rex was close. And he was nearly up to his head.

He could feel the thudding footfalls of his mortal foe through the water, and he knew with almost absolute certainty that he wouldn't make it.

Then there was a roar from behind him. Not an anticipating rumble, not an orchestrated cry designed to frighten the wits out of its prey, but one of fear and outrage.

Slowly, he turned around.

The would-be predator had been set upon by one of the most infamous creatures ever to walk the earth, one that had lived before dinosaurs and would live on after their death.

The crocodile didn't walk with dinosaurs...

It ate them.

Yema heard the roar from far away. "The warrior has defeated his foe, as was expected. I will try to reach him telepathically." Dinosaur calls...focus on that...

Young warrior? Echo? Can you hear me?

((One: I meant several crocodiles, and two: have you ever watched a documentary called "Supercroc"?))

Echo was about to leave when he heard a strange sound in his head. He had no idea what it meant, so he ignored it.

((Echo does not have any language more sophisticated than velociraptor calls, as he has never needed to express himself. And not all dino calls are the same, and velociraptor lingo involves physical posture. He doesn't actually call himself Echo, I just put it in for narrative purpose and later use.

Edit: Try operating on a level higher than speech, so language barriers mean nothing. Or in terms he understands, such as danger and grouping together to face danger.))

The six capital ships, with their fighter squadrons still berthed, emerged from the void into orbit above a beautiful planet. Lush tropical forests, bright golden plains, and sparkling blue oceans contrasted breathtakingly with the swirling white clouds blanketing the globe. The moon's orbit was far lower than in modern times, and a somewhat younger sun cast a dazzling light on the whole scene, with all of these factors culminating in a stunning effect that held the gaze of the crews on board the ships for several seconds.

Shade, however, was more concerned with why one of the corvettes had suddenly vanished in a brilliant explosion of intersecting plasma-turret fire.

"This is Shade to corvette Sachral Claw - do you read?" The lack of response quickly drew the attention of the rest of the task force. A scramble of furious comm traffic ensued, as the ship's pilots struggled to bring the ships into a defensive formation and fighters were given orders to launch. As the sensor systems calibrated to their new surroundings, they quickly identified what appeared to be another, relatively small task force, consisting of 54 corvettes, 12 destroyers and 2 battleships, along with an unknown number of fighters, hanging in a similar orbit to theirs. However, the designs of the enemy ships were clearly different from those of Shade's task force, and even across 70 million years they were instantly recognizable.

"Chraxon!" hissed Char-Kin-Vine.

The Chraxon were the moral opposites of the race Shade had been created to serve. Nomadic and peaceful, they travelled through space continuously, trading with any civilizations they encountered and only engaging in combat when they or their trading partners were directly threatened. However, their peaceful nature meant they did not normally attack unprovoked like this - it was evident that they had simply fired out of surprise.

"Unidentified alien craft, this is the Che-jan task force you are firing on. Please cease hostilities immediately - we have no wish to engage you." Shade broadcast on the universally recognized emergency frequency.

A haughty, arrogant voice answered him. "Well that's too bad, 'cos we do. Why don't you just sit still and let us paste you if you don't want to fight back?"

Apparently the Chraxon have a lot of changing to do in the next 70 million years, Shade thought. His task force was badly outnumbered and outgunned, especially with the loss of the corvette, but they were hardly outmatched, being elite and having Shade as their tactician. Still, this would be an extremely time consuming battle.

He took a quick sip of water and began rapidly issuing orders.

((Looks like you guys will have plenty of time to figure out how to communicate. :P ))

Shade's focus was absolute as he shifted his ships in perfect sync, dictating precise firing patterns which had their own, terrible beauty. The two destroyers were taking the brunt of the enemy's fire, rotating slowly to allow their shields time to regenerate. The Chraxon in this time period had obviously never encountered shields before, as they remained content to keep firing on the same areas of the destroyers' hulls. Shade hadn't lost a single ship yet, and two of the enemy's corvettes had already succumbed to the Echronal Physig's devastating firepower. The other destroyer was focusing it's heavy turrets on one of the Chraxon battleships, a huge, non-maneouvrable and critically outdated hulk that was beginning to lose sections of its power grid as white-hot plasma projectiles slammed through its armour. But the battleship had the advantage of size, and plenty of fight left in it.

Two down, sixty-six to go.

Echo stopped.

A strange feeling, like before, only this time slightly alien, more subtle. If it could be put into words, it would say, Danger. Come.

Danger. Come.

Echo wondered, but only for a moment. His instincts had always proved to be reliable, and he wasn't about to disregard them now.

He bounded off in the direction he knew was right.

When he reached his destination, he stopped. Scanning, he spotted the people who he was supposed to meet... people?

The people in question were nothing he could recognise; both had two limbs, not held erect in front, but hanging down at the sides of their strange, straight-up torso areas. The first one smelled of water, with a salty touch to it that Echo did not know, since he had never been to the sea. The other was see-through, shimmery like heat haze or a swarm of flies.

These were not anything he could comprehend, and his basic, real instincts had only one answer; attack.

He leapt.

((Echo is attacking Floaro.

And by the way, I don't know how, but one of you will have to come up with the name Echo. Maybe one of the calls he makes reminds Yema of sound echoing though a canyon.

Edit: Floaro can do magic, right?))

The two squadrons from Shade's task force met the swarm of fighters from the opposition in a blinding flash of weapons fire, then broke up into several much smaller sorties. Several fighters from both sides broke off from the dogfights to rid themselves of a trailing missile before diving back in. Shade's pilots did this considerably faster than the Chraxon pilots.

The two remaining corvettes in the task force would dart quickly out from the shelter of one of the destroyers or the frigate, unleash a storm of supporting fire onto the enemy fighters, then dart back behind the larger capital ships before the Chraxon gunners could draw a bead on them. With the support of the corvettes' anti-fighter cannons, Shade's elite pilots were slowly eating their way into the enemy force.

The Echronal Physig and its twin were now steadily diminishing the hull integrity of one of the enemy battleships, but heavy fire from the Chraxon destroyers was taking its toll, and the shields of the two destroyers were a dazzling array of titanic energies, battling against each other in a constantly shifting dance of colours. Precise and well coordinated gunnery from the frigate had taken down two Chraxon destroyers, although its crew was keeping its valuable TimeRip mechanism well out of enemy weapon range. So far, careful manoeuvring had allowed his capital ships to retain a distinct tactical advantage. The enemy tacticians were wisening up however, and were attempting to use their superior numbers to flank the two destroyers.

Shade savoured the challenge. Now this is what I was born for.

((I guess I'm going to keep posting these random battle scenes unless somebody finds them too boring and objects))

(( Okay AA3, Floaro is a god, he doesn't do 'magic' per se, rather he has outstanding abilities, and also, Floaro is not mature, his powers are not as strong as they soon (hint) will be, and thank you for letting me take control of your character for a sec))

The Dinosaur leaped at him, everything slowed down, his battle reflexes kicked, he jumped up hopping off the Dion's head, he grabbed a branch swung on it and came back kicking the Dino right in the head as it was bringing it up, it's head came straight to the ground knocking it out, Floaro was lucky, this creature was strong, if that branch wasn't there he probably would have been a goner.
