That was 10 months ago according to JN's Item Database thing. It spiked due to high demand because of the daily Faerie Quests event. Nothing bad will happen if you don't do the quest, but you won't gain any stat increases unfortunately. As long as you visit them every day for a daily prize from the Faerie Quest page (regardless if you do the quests or not), you should still get something special for doing so at the end like last year's daily Faerie Quest event.
